again I now reconvene to the regular meeting of the board of education at 7 p.m. with Blair Fikes Orosco na Cruz present before we begin please silence all electronic devices and note that these proceedings are being recorded Pat the board met in close session from 300 p.m. to 6:41 p.m. regarding conference with legal counsel existing and anticipated litigation Public Employee

discipline dismissal release student discipline a student matter conference with L Labor negotiators Act and CCA and public employee performance evaluation superintendant the board took action as to approving the appeal of District residency of student number 32107 0141 by a vote of 14 with Blair voting yes and Fikes na Orosco and Cruz voting no no further action was taken which

requires public disclosure good evening ladies and gentlemen thank you for joining us here again at woodrest Junior High School for a Dynamics slate of celebrations and recognitions but first please rise for the presentation of Colors by the Don Lugo High School junior RC and please remain standing while the colors are presented and and for the Pledge of

Allegiance okay let us start with pledge allegiance I allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for what he stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all you may not be seated let me start by saying humbling and full of gratitude I I am as we acknowledge the young men and

women and who will shortly be in front of us these students have made a decision to enter the Armed Forces knowing that we are fighting a global war on terror knowing there are fears about our own domestic security and yet they volunteered that tells me so much about the strength integrity and moral character of these students and the

families that support them and I once read that only one half of 1% of the nation are charged with protecting the freedom of the other 99.5% of the population so you see you are as precious as the most rare of diamonds Board of Education believes there is nothing more important than these young men and women feel that

their community supports them America's future servicemen and women our community salutes you but before we commence honoring them I'd like to ask that any military service member veterans that might be in the audience tonight I i' like to ask that they please stand so that they too may be acknowledged for their commitment and service now with that board members Mr

Joseph please join me in the front as we honor our students and salute them as they begin the military careers start board members president superintendent faculty staff parents community members thank you so much for having us here tonight we're humbled and honored to introduce to you each of our students from our respective schools who will be serving our

country and we also very proud of them that this is their choice and we cannot thank them um we're very honored very proud of each and every one of you thank you with that I'll have you introduce yourselves and pick up your certificate I'm Ryan Garcia Rodriguez I'm going to be joining the US Army and um I'll be a 42 Alpha human resource

specialist um I'm Anthony Gomez I'm I'm going to be joining the Marine Corps and um my MOS is account Supply and accounting my name is Samuel senal I'm joining the Marine Corps and I'm an I'm in listing as an MOS 0311 combat infantry my name is Sergio Velasquez I'm joining the United States Air Force and um my job is going to be Security

Forces uh hello I'm Stephen Williamson I'm joining the United States Navy and I will be a yman Submariner [Applause] parents in the audience can now take pictures hi good evening I'm R Vasquez principal at Buena High School and I'm very honored to introduce Tim Rogers hi I'm Tim Rogers I'll be joining the United States Army and my MOS will

be Infantry [Applause] good evening my name is uh Martin Tellis I'm with Chino High School home of the Cowboys and I'm a also a veteran 21 years in the Army so oh thank you so it's truly a privilege here and honor to be among the future uh welcome to to the Brotherhood of the military of all branches and we're very proud to have

you so for Chino high school we have Adrian a i maor in the sis and I en listen to the United States Marine Court to become a military policeman Emily paleros [Applause] Emily BOS and I've been accepted to United States Military Academy at West F I'm James FS I enlisted in the United States Army and I'll be a combat

engineer here 12 found my name is John founds I enlisted in the United States Army and I'll also be a combat [Applause] engineer Rosia heon Airborne my name is Leslie Perez and I'm going into the army I'm 92 Romeo parachute [Applause] hi I'm Courtney stringman and I'm committed to the University of West Point Army Alex not yet

Tak a bre hi I'm Maria veva and I'm going into the United States Army and I'm a signal of forces and specialist Sage [Music] Williams hello I'm stage William Williams I'm enlisted in the United States Army and I'm an aviations operation [Applause] Jan hi I'm Carla Yiannis I'm enlisted into the United States Army and I'm 13 Bravo Canon crew member

ladies and gentlemen Chino [Applause] Cowboys good evening families and community members this is always my most favorite board meeting to come to um and one of the reasons why is because we are have the ability to honor students that have chosen to serve our country every Memorial Day every Veterans Day every 4th of July it's a time that is set

aside for us as Citizens to remember to thank to Rish in the freedoms that we have every day I come from a long line a long history of members of my family that have served and I know that it's very meaningful to me so to me this is a very very um wonderful opportunity for me to recognize um the many young ladies

and that the many young men that are going to go from Chino Hills High School to serve our country and to continue the freedoms to continue to fight for the freedoms that we have every single day so with that if you don't know who I am I'm Isabelle brenis the principal of chinah Hol High School the proud

principal and I like my um young men and my young ladies to introduce themselves my name is Tyler Adams I've have joined the United States Army my MOS will be military [Applause] police my name is Jonathan Aries I'm going to the United States Marine Corps and my MOS is going to be crash fire rescu my name is Kyle Charles I'm

joining the United States Marine Corp M MO is Security Forces my name is esmeraldo Esparza I'm going to the United States Army uh my name's Nathan Jervis and I'm joining the Marine Corps NRC my name is meer Goode I'm joining the United States Navy and I'm going to be an IT my name is Matt kler I'm joining the

in the United States Army as a 15 Romeo age 64 Apache helicopter repair good evening I'm Kimberly Cabrera I'm the sister of a United States Marine and a very proud principal of Don Lugo High School thank you I'll take that um this also uh like Mrs Brena is my favorite U board meeting of the year I am so impressed by the sacrifice that

our young men and women are making and I am so thankful that we will be able to enjoy freedoms and to be able to sleep peacefully at night as they're taking care of the watch so I would like for them to come over and to um introduce themselves so that we can acknowledge their uh service hello I'm Jessica Gonzalez I'm

joining the United States Army and my MOS is Parish hello my name is Luke melow and I'm joining the United States Mar core hello my name is tomares I'm joining the United States Navy and my MOS is Aviation ordnanceman my name is Marty Rodriguez I'm joining the United States Army and my MOS is wheel vehicle mechanic hi my name is Gabriel and I'm

certificates are awesome thank you [Applause] missed the opportunity next I'd like to invite Chino Hills High School student Nadim nakaka Miss BRS yeah yeah I apologize for that Miss brenes um please oh goad please explain this the story that you've you've um how you behind the scholarship that you received absolutely hello my name is Nom Emanuel D mauku I'm a senior from Chino Hills

High School um I applied for the Edison scholarship after my dad encouraged me to do so it was a scholarship for stem courses and um engineering Majors um provided by the engineering Power by the Edison power company um the intention is to give back to the community of people who Edison serves and enable them to go to engineering majors in fouryear

universities and so I applied as a senior going into biomedical engineering at Cornell University hoping to be able to receive um some substantial financial support from them and they rewarded me with $40,000 tell them what you're going to do with the res thank you so my intention is to use the $440,000 to fund my four years at

Cornell to study biomedical engineering and eventually go into Medical School my desire is to develop medical Technologies and biot technology in order to help third world countries particularly Nigeria and also to influence technology here in the USA and to be able to affect health and health relations throughout the world great job son so on behalf of the school district

um herebody here's the recognition thank you thank okay next I would like to invite up the people who were honored at the 29th annual multilingual recognition award dinner in May the event honored individuals for their work in and support support of English Learners as I call your name please step forward Irene Chen [Applause] Sarah Mado words I'd like to uh thank everybody for

acknowledging us for this um but as we all know it takes a village um I would personally like to thank thank my principal Lori Warner uh for uh recommending me for the award um she is an awesome leader and has really pushed me to uh be the teacher I am today um the district office our El Department

really needs to be acknowledged um un under the direction of Mary we've um I've had such awesome training Carol Garmin sweat Nancy fuin uh Diane cetra and others um really lend a lot of support to the El Department um but I also would like to um have the board recognize just all of the El teachers um it takes a lot of planning a lot of

preparation to um to really motivate our students and to move them forward so please not just um the work that we do but but all of the teachers thank you all right let's give them another round of applause thank you thank [Applause] you next we have employee recognitions Todd Hancock AC president if you will do the honors of announcing the AC teacher

teachers of the Year Council of the this way you're GNA go up there okay all right every year we get the uh opportunity that uh we put out nominations and so what's really really um cool about these Awards is this is actually done by peers recommending peers uh and then there's a committee that comes together there's a whole

criteria and we select uh the teachers of the year um and counselors and and nurses I just want to give a couple of shout out uh shout outs for those that were nominated that did not receive uh it's not very often they get their names read and so we want to recognize all that our teachers do uh Janette

altenberg from Don Lugo Pam Bell from Liberty odesus can uh Kos from Don Lugo Jason Davis from chapparel Steven donon from Don Lugo Janet CIO from Liberty two of our recipients cannot be here tonight because their kids are receiving awards at their schools tonight as well so um for our elementary um Teacher of the Year from Cortez relle

Moss for our secondary Teacher of the Year from myala Ronda fellows [Applause] I'm very humbled for this and I really appreciate the nomination that I got because I work with some amazing teachers at aala high school and in this District so um I'm very humble thank you very [Applause] much we honored by the way on the side

note we honored these teachers a day of the teacher on the 11th of May and so we're just trying to be formal here and for counselor of the Year from Chino Hills High School Melissa [Applause] Hughes I also just want to say thank you so much I am extremely humble um it's not always you get recognized for doing

exactly what you love to do so thank you so much this is just an example of the awesome teachers we have in Chino Valley our parents should be very proud with the quality teachers we have in this District thank next laori malali director of Health Services is here to announce the school nurse of the Year [Applause] award community members uh School Board

uh Mr Joseph um it's my pleasure tonight to um announce our school nurse of the Year this year's uh Dory Bernard and um unfortunately she too is at her not able to attend she's at her daughter's Awards um service tonight so um but D Dory is a valued member of our nurse team she's a highly qualified credentialed employee

with 30 years of experience as a registered nurse she received her Nursing degree in 1986 and has been with a a district nurse with us for seven years one year prior working in ranch of kukamonga she uh her most of her nursing career has been at lomin University work with working with pediatric ICU and labor and delivery um currently she works with

Dicky ctez and Magnolia Junior High Schools and um she's very Adept at providing complex nursing skills in supporting the students and the staff Dory touches lives on a daily basis she promotes positive changes in the lives of those around her and she's truly a unique and talented lady she's a tremendous asset to our school district and an honored colleague as this year's

school nurse of the Year Denise aoro cssea president will please share with us the CSEA employee of the the reason I have Todd here is my assistant isn't here Danny Torres isn't here he was supposed to help me but I have a lot of stuff here if he would hold that for me hold that the whole thing all of it

yes thank you very much okay thank you um we CCA consider our employees of the Year our unsung heroes this year's recipient is an employee who is a hero not only to CCA but to the community and the district as well she worked on grants for the first five program and the Family Resource Center she has organized The Hope Center

with a support from Mr Joseph and the board to provide clothing and other necessities to our most needy students as well as their families she has worked for the district since 1990 it is a great honor and privilege to introduce you to cca's unsung hero classified employee of the year for 2016 Miss Liz laara would you please come

upwe thank you thank you Mr Joseph stay up here please okay um real quick I have a couple of things for you we have we have certificate of appreciation from CSA for outstanding service the certificate is awarded in recognition of the time effort talent and Leadership freely given in an effort to further the goals and programs of the

chapter in The District that's one and there's more uh above and beyond cca's great extraordinary member Award presented to Liz Laura it is very gratifying to know that you are working behind the scenes to ensure that the Chino chapter 102 can do their job to the best of their ability we appreciate your attention to detail willingness to go the extra mile

and professionalism California School Employees Association Orangefield office is proud to bestow upon upon you our prestigious great extraordinary members award for 2016 on this 19th day of May 2016 okay thank you do you need assistant no yeah I'm good and this is my boss go away okay thank you so much I just asked if I could say a few words since she works

for my department um Liz has worked for much longer for the district than I have and she is working Way Beyond her pay grade I have to say that um I was trying to think of some great words to describe her she's truly a servant leader she's an inspiration she's always positive and she's forward thinking but most of all

she's humble I'm going to cry I'm G to cry she asked me not to share with the staff that she was getting this award because the work that she does everybody participates in in her department and and she she felt like she wasn't the only one who should be getting the awards so tomorrow they will all know

she's been honored but I couldn't share ahead of time thank you thank you I do I feel like it's unfair for me to be here because um I'm gonna cry because I can't I do what I love and then I have a great team and we have the support of an amazing board and Mr Joseph so imagine coming to work and

being able to say we want to help the community go for it do it what do you need all the all the support we ever need they give it to us so I mean I'm like I'm the luckiest person in the world so thank you again to be recognized is just beyond anything again but this is for the entire team who

works so hard to to serve our students and our families so thank [Applause] you next is our Stellar employee who have been recognized by the West End Salpa for their passion and contribution in serving students with special needs as I call your name please join me Maria Alexander Benet Benet Sandra horta Baran Jennifer morray Mary [Applause] Roy would you like to say

something on the behalf the thank you you're fantastic thank you good job on behalf of the board of educ thank you for all you do and please wait Pat we will we'll provide you the birth the certificates sometimes next week now as I understand the following recipients are part of a larger group who are committed to Student Success Castle is a

student-led nonprofit whose aim is develop servant leaders so that they can one day be our Future Leaders as I call your name please join me at the Weiss Michelle wet um um please share with us a little bit about some of the activities and experiences in which our future leaders have participated thank you very much for the recognition

the board and I Castle California Association of student leaders they have to fill out my leadership students fill out uh 11 step process in order to be nominated and they were one of 17 Junior highs in the entire State of California to receive it so thank you very much [Applause] just wanted to say also that this is the

student organization of the California Association of directors of activities and as um vice president of that organization I just want to let you understand that we have three of our high schools that receed this award and that doesn't happen uh throughout the state so this is an amazing opportunity for our students um all three of the activity directors in front of you uh

Miss Farah Miss Michelle and myself I use this as a learning tool to our students this is their final after the first semester semester and it is a big process for them to evaluate what they did all year long so um on behalf of the students that we invited tonight I want to introduce uh mine this is uh scha Shaw she is our USB

president so on behalf of K and castle i' like to present your school with that hi I'm Michelle keyot from Chino Hills High School and this is my ASB president Chris Amir baboy we don't have our clack with us but he was an integral part of applying for this award and we're very proud thank [Applause] you my name is Farah RIT and this is our

ASB president miss Mari Fiero and we're just very proud of our program that we um have been building over time at Don Ludo and we've had a lot of fun this year so um I would just like to thank everyone for this award um but I'd also like to just pay tribute to uh my school Don Lugo sometimes I feel like they

don't get enough recognition but we're one of the most amazing schools out there so thank you so again one more Applause fantastic job I just I would just like to thank everyone that was just uh announced right now miss keyote miss W I miss um Miss rioo Wht and Miss Wood now I know two of them and I know how many

hours that they put into what they do so I can only imagine that every single one of them puts in the number of hours that they do so sirly thank sincerely thank you because I know that you do everything that you do for the love of the kids so [Applause] thanks oh the following teachers have Reed received a san berino county of

Medal of Honor for their astounding contributions to public education congratulations for making our school communities a place where our students can Thrive as I announce your name please join me at the podium Lisa Lista Robert mount [Applause] Kevin Russell like to say I just want to thank whoever Nom nominated me I believe it was Mrs yoy and she gave me a call this weekend just

to remind me to show up and so I [Laughter] did thank you for the honor of the recognition of of the nomination I received mine from my principal Luke hne from Grace Park from Julian Rodriguez and so I'm very thankful for them for the opportunity that has been given to me throughout this year to extend my learning through professional

development um I'm trying to get my kids into engineering um to go into the same path that that young gentleman was talking about and so I'm very fortunate to have that experience and be able to give that to them as well thank you yes making a difference in our students lives thank [Applause] you and last but least let's acknowledge

our administrators who have been named administrators of the Year by their peers of region 12 of The Association of California school administrators avette Farley [Applause] Ryan candelera rod Program would you like to say a few words applause on my bucket list was getting Mr Joseph on that stage Mr Joseph you need to come down and join us because the Hope

organization was the partnership of the partnership and education of the year so Mr Joseph please join us [Applause] back in 2014 um I knew that there were there have been many many families who just don't have the means to make a a difference and really struggle every day in our community and so I had the idea to start a hope committee we got

together people from the community and we sat down and tried to really think about what we could do to reach out to our neediest families and we came up with taking money to hope to open hope Resource Centers at five of our campuses now these hope Resource Centers provide a multi-dimensional um things to our families dealing with food food shelter

care uh even families who need help with their utility bills uh parents who have a problem uh even with one another and uh children and and people who are victims of abuse and every single person who works at the center is bilingual and we've been able to touch many families as a result but I got to tell you the the boots on the ground the

person every day who makes it happen is Liz Laura it it was my dream but it was Liz laara who makes it happen every day and Liz I'd like you to talk a little bit about the Hope centers because I think people need to know about them and where they are really quick just just really quickly it's it really has become it's a

vision it's been a dream come true to be able to come alongside our families that need that extra support so imagine Families Our the students that come to us every day um but they're going home to domestic violence situations or child abuse cases or a parents who need extra support with parenting classes or they could need help with a medical

application so it could be as simple as a referral to a food bank or as as serious as walking them um through a police report or getting getting them into shelter helping them if they're homeless so it's really been amazing to be able to say that we are um and it's a partnership this doesn't happen one person 10 people it's it's a partnership

our faith-based they come alongside us our administrators who are amazing they send us these referrals our board who backs us up so we have a model uh a model program now but only because Chino is is really so amazing it's everyone coming together and really making a difference and helping out those families helping each other out because

isn't that why we're here right it's not just about us they're located he wants me to do a commercial they located at the adult school Walnut Elementary we have one at Doris Dixon we have one in Chino Hills at the aec and we have one in south Ontario here at uh Levi dicki so and then if a parent can't get to us

if a family can't get to us and the any of those sites a case manager will go to their site or to their home and make sure that that the service or the referral is is initiated there so pretty awesome yes thank you thank you thank you I just want to say one thing and that is you know I'm so grateful and

so happy that our children can have an opportunity to live in a community where it is safe and beautiful thank start okay let's get started okay we're now comments from student representative miss scha good evening everybody so I kind of just wanted to start off with a little story so the last time I came to a meeting like this

where we're recognizing everybody I was sitting with Mrs Weiss about to get recognized for the castle outstanding award program and she told me you're going to be sitting up here next next time next time only next time and I was like okay I'm pretty sure that will happen and then it just becomes so real of how time flies by so fast and seeing

everyone grow up and how um all of the students and I we just kind of grew up together and I think my little comment tonight is just going to be more of thank yous and acknowledging everyone um I would like to thank every student who is serving in a military base because I cannot believe I already have a family

friend who's serving in the Navy and he's been there for 5 years now and it's just crazy to think like you're sacrificing so much here to give up for our country and honestly it's like I don't know how to repay you at all so I can we just have a big round of applause for them I know they all left

but thank you for your service and good luck out there and um I just want to give a little shout out to my Elementary School hidden Trails I went to the 20th anniversary uh reunion and it was really awesome to see a lot of alumni show up and seeing my old teachers and it was very well put so congratulations Mrs

Farley for the 20th years and um congratulations to all the seniors I know it's been a crazy ride I know we have some in here and just know we're almost there and it's crazy to think the school year is almost over but just hang in there and just enjoy the ride thank you to everyone who came out tonight to

support and like everyone's been saying this is one of my favorite board meetings by far just to recognize everybody and everyone and it's crazy to think how much talent and te like talent and teamwork we've had within this um District so I'm still in shock ITC it ranges from element school to high school and through our teachers so I

just love how close knit and how similar our qualities are so thank you very much thank [Applause] ECT well some reason we didn't get one thing about Rec recognizing our students on the agenda so I need to use that my time and I have six pages of a speech tonight so we'll be just fine that's why my back's there all

right first thing we'd like to do is we want to recognize that act every year puts some money away does some uh fundraising and other things to uh allow our teachers who have uh children that are seniors this year graduating from high school to give a little bit of help in their Quests for for their next level

of their schooling so we are actually this year we're giving off 15 uh scholarships uh and we're just excited this is by donations of our teachers uh in this District to help this out so uh some of them could not be here because some of them are getting awards at their sites and stuff tonight keep emphasizing all right first

one is Christian Aledo [Applause] Justin bbau and Andrew Bearden could not be here tonight but yes they're going to see the video okay now that we're streaming it on our website they're going to see that video it's important uh Bridget [Applause] Basera um the next two are not here at least if they are you can come up but

we're said not Devin Collins from Don Lugo Brooke um hanin [Applause] Hoffman awesome James klingenberg congratulations James [Applause] lagunas Lexi mabor Joseph W okay the next three we think are not here uh Rebecca whis Sean seday and Heather spawn and our last is Myra zon [Applause] take picture all right maybe let's let's go like tall back like four and four that would be

that's exciting I like doing that I really do um first of all we'd like to thank Mr n and Pam Fikes for attending our day of the teacher we really appreciate that that was a great time we know you guys wanted to be there but we're we appreciate that I also want to thank all of our CA brothers and

sisters for all they do for our students and teachers and administrators we could not be successful for our students without them so thank you very much [Applause] I also want to give special thanks for those students that are serving our country um I again said this before this thing I'm the weirdo some people think but if I see a man or a woman in uniform

wherever I'm at I stop what I'm doing and go over and shake their hand and say thank you for the service that they do and so I would like to do the same with our students and we had a lot of them and I'm extremely impressed so thank you very much and I just got two words here to say is

I just think we have in our district just amazing students just absolutely amazing students all the things they accomplish and we we only recognize this small few when in reality we could spend hours just in these meetings recognizing the successes of our students and i' like to thank all the students and for a great year that we've had so far this

year and then last you know a lot of our teachers here tonight are are wearing white or their school colors uh it's an it's being symbolic in the hope that we can find a positive resolution to our bargaining we'd like to get it done and have a nice enjoyable summer um we are close but we're not ready to sign the

line so we've got to get that signature so we can have a TA I appreciate all the efforts the school board can do on our behalf to make sure that our teachers are um not only know and feel of and we do know that you care about them but we need to take that burden of that uh

bargaining to be off of our shoulders for the summer so we can relax and get back because we're starting earlier next year and we have yearr round school that's just a couple weeks around away after that we really need to get that settled and I give you the um giv myself and the association the same challenge we're giving you and the district to

find a solution uh to these bargaining thank you very much thank you CA good evening it's like I really it's very awkward um first of all I would like to have Vanessa perilla please join me tonight um each year classified employees have the opportunity to apply for scholarships through our state Association sometimes we get somebody picked sometimes we don't we're very I'm

very happy to say we have one of our um one of our own who has been the recipient of $1,000 scholarship to for the community col college scholarship her mother is Rebecca Vargas she is the secretary at Liberty Elementary School please [Applause] stand so on behalf of csca we congratulate you very much and good luck in your endeavors okay thank

you [Applause] I just feel like I'm just walking in a round in circle um I want to thank Todd for his cooperation with csca sharing our table skirt today now I have made fun in the last couple of board meetings because we've had paper tablecloths so with the recognition of classified employees week I said do you mind if we brought a real

table skirt with CSA he says no it's your week go ahead so thank you Mr Todd okay this is classified School Employees week and we celebrate our heroes California's legislature recognizes the important contributions of classified School Employees and name the third full week of May classified School Employees week to honor these contributions classified school employees are the everyday Heroes who

play a crucial role in our schools from transporting and feeding students to teaching them vital skills and ensuring that schools are operating smoothly classified employees are integral to public education from the time students bored a school bus to the time they head home every aspect of their educational experience is impacted by a classified employee who transports our students who

works with students one-on-one in special ed classes who feeds our students in the morning and afternoon who helps them when they get sick who takes care of them when students don't have lunch money I know the answer and I would hope you know as well we need teachers in the classroom to teach our students and we thank you every day but

the district and teachers need us to complete the puzzle of Education I hope all administrators take the time to appreciate their employees for what they do for the students district and Community what an honor to see the students going into the military I don't know about you but it always brings a tear to my eye and I just think they are

serving us so I appreciate that um as we come to an end to another school year which will be right around the corner I want to thank all the classified employees for all the hard work they have done throughout the year it is crunch time everything being said we need it done yesterday but we know it will get done and everything will go

smoothly as always so that thank you very much thank [Applause] you art Bennett oh IET Farley I apolog IET Farley champ good evening um I too would like to thank um those students who have decided to uh join the military forces I'm a proud Navy Mom I have a daughter who has just returned after two years um

serving in Bahrain and it's been four weeks she's finally come back to the United States and has just moved to Washington so I'd also like to acknowledge those parents who have to say goodbye to their their babies and um the many years and time that they're going to be spent away from home um a lesson learned I convinced my daughter

to uh after being in ROTC uh joining the sheriff's Explorer Program her heart was said on joining the military and I said no please go to college give it a year you'll love it you'll love it she spent a year there returned um got accepted to Utah State returned back and said I still want to join the military so um

you know when it's in their heart when it's um spoken to them that that um they have the heart and desire to serve uh as parents we we have to just have the faith that uh they know what they want to do and then thank them every day so uh it was great to be um here and uh

participating in the acknowledgement of our students um so I wish them luck and I wish uh the parents a a lot of praise and prayers uh in that endeavor um with that being saying thank you sh for attending uh last night uh we had uh hidden Trails did celebrate their 20th anniversary last night we had um the

opening principal Nancy harms um attend along with Tom mcy who was also a principal there Henry vores we had a lot of um very important special guests uh also chapparel celebrated their 10year anniversary on Friday so with that a lot of open houses this week many of our students are finishing their State Testing but we also have um several open

houses that um will be occurring next week as well on May 24th we have Walnut roads Cortez and Wickman May 25th Dixon Marshall and Cal arrow and on May 26th Butterfield chapparel cattle and Levi Dicky uh I encourage you all to visit the schools it is a great night where the teachers um spend a lot of time with

uh the Showcase of all the student hard well student products and hard work it was an opportunity for the parents um to see what their children have accomplished and as well as look forward to the following year and the students were very excited um to show off what they've done what they've learned so it's a very um a very great opportunity

and a night of Celebration so um I encourage you to attend thank you very much the kids have worked very hard uh it's been a a a great year I know the year is not over but this is about that time where we see the the end almost Nearing and everyone that's worked so hard our complete staff's at every

School site so we're very proud of the hard work that we've done this year so thank you for your support and your acknowledgements all throughout the year thank you thank you art Bennett Chino Hills Council mayor well thank you very much you know I I I've said this a million times this year it's a wonderful year to

be mayor at Chino Hills uh we've had a lot of great things going on but you know what every day is a special day at Chino Valley Unified School District you know we talk about it takes a a village to raise a child and uh you know the example that is that is given to the teachers and to our children by this the

board and by your staff uh it's a top down process how many of the teachers are being honored tonight uh welld deserved but you know what they are passing that on to the children we don't have these fantastic FC students without fantastic teachers that have great uh abilities with conveying a message and getting an education across but the

commitment that is there by all of our teachers and all of the District staff uh is definitely paying dividends in our students because we're putting out some fantastic students uh I am so glad that you spent the time a good amount of time with our military uh tribute tonight uh it's a these are troubling times and uh uh when

my wife and I got married in 1967 we sent in my change of marital status to the draft board and there was some voluntary then but it was the draft board four and a half months after I sent in my change of marital status I was in the Army and uh spent my year in Vietnam 1968-69 so I know personally of

the sacrifices that these young men and women are about to get into and it is so commendable and uh a special debt of gratitude goes to their parents too because they don't grow up that way with that kind of commitment and wanting to serve unless they've been taught how to do that at their home so not only do we have great

teachers and great students but again this school district just like our our city of Chino Hills is all about family so it's it's very fantastic uh you you are all to be we we really are all a part of the celebration that's going on tonight so you know give yourself a round of applause okay uh I would be remiss and you I

don't want to steal Thunder but uh I'm sure that everyone is aware of the fact that a former uh board member Lonnie Truitt uh passed away this last weekend and uh our heart goes out to Carol and and the the family I know they're planning a a memorial or celebration I believe on the 10th of June uh at the uh

Koy facility I know there was they're working on that as we speak because they were doing some work on that today so uh you know our prayers go out to to the family uh Ronnie could be a pistol and I know Wayne you're probably the one that remembers him the most uh but uh his his heart and spirit was there and we we

thank you for that a couple things coming up uh with all of the military tribute uh you know Memorial Day is coming up it's not just a 3-day weekend and the time to have barbecue and pool parties keep in mind all of the personal sacrifices that these young men and women are about to to make and that all

that have and are and uniform serving uh they're the ones that are paying that debt and allowing us that freedom and that honor and uh they're all to be commended for that so remember that please do that uh we've got a couple things coming up I think just before your next board meeting uh this next Tuesday night we're having our

budget session a study workshop for the city of Chino Hills anybody would like to be boarded with numbers uh can can come and listen to about two and a half hours of budget session uh followed by our closed session and council meeting so it it'll be fun will be had by all that attend I assure you uh coming up again Memorial

Day enjoy that week that weekend and and keep your heart and prayers with the with the right people um the week after that we've got graduations we've got graduations what the seventh and the eth as I recall I've got on our calendar for the eth that our our Cheno Hill schools will be there and and of course we'll be

our Council will be proud to be there and be a part of that ceremony the next day uh I am happy to say that I am having my state of the city address uh December 1st of this year will be our 25th anniversary of City Hood so uh my program this year is going to be then and now in the future and celebrating

our 25 years of incorporation and all of the wonderful things that our city has accomplished so uh you're welcome to be there you should have invitations in your mailboxes so uh please do that so with that again thank you so much and thank you to the the parents and the students of this District because you make us all proud it's a fantastic

guests I'm Don Bridge proud to be a retired teacher in this District uh I too would like to U extend my congratulations to the students going into the military tonight especially the two young ladies going to the military academy my younger brother is the 1981 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and retired out as a captain and

the other side note to that is his classmate not only his classmate but in the same company is now the current superintendent of the Naval Academy also congratulations to ca this this week uh as we honor the classified employees this week want to start out a couple of quick things last Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony

in grand reopening of the old schoolhouse museum at 11th and B Street in Chino it was nice to see our superintendent Mr Jose there as well the schoolhouse was originally built in 1888 at the corner of Fifth and D streets and moved to its present location in 1914 it was deed to the city of Chino three years ago and is a San Bernardino

County Historical Site I'd like to congratulate mayor Dennis Yates the city leaders and the Chino Valley Historical Society for a terrific celebration the museum is a wonderful display of the early history of Chino and School District it doesn't matter if you're a lifelong resident of the Chino Valley a 35e resident like self or recent arrival this museum is well worth

visiting last week I was also as I was also saddened to hear about the passing of former Schoolboard member Mr Lonnie Truitt Mr Truitt was on the Chino School Board during my entire four years as president of the associated Chino teachers he was straightforward and you always knew where he stood most of all he cared about this District the

students teachers and staff I got to know him as a parent at aala high school where where he actively supported the yala football team and the booster club I'd like to offer condolences to his family and ask that you consider adjourning tonight's meeting in his memory thank you Joe [Applause] schaer good evening board Mr Joseph in cabinet my name is Joe schaer I'm the

proud parent of a fourth grader at Rolling Ridge Elementary since this is the last regular board meeting of this school year I thought I would offer a few comments first and foremost I would like to publicly thank all of our employees certificated and classified for another fantastic year in Chino Valley looking back at this school year there have been

so many incredible accomplishments by our students in District like the award-winning percussion bands at aala and Chino Hills High our regional honores and state finalist for science fair our award-winning Hope Center our tub Vista students being the first accepted directly to fouryear universities the designation of a National Blue Ribbon School and of course the boys basketball teams at two

of our high schools these are just a few examples of the amazing successes our students in District saw this year through the hard work and countless efforts CV USD was represented with honor Civility and sportsmanship ship with all the things this District does well and for all the accomplishments we celebrated this year there still remain areas that all of us can and should

strive to improve looking forward to the coming school year I encourage the district to evaluate tital one spending along with lcff lcap funds to ensure we're doing everything possible to assist those students who have not yet reach their full potential and in doing so hopefully we can help close the achievement Gap I would like to see the district take a

stronger stance on bullying and put the real polic a real policy and Solutions in place to tackle this issue I applaud the district's initial efforts and encourage you to continue improving physical sight safety at our schools and finally I would wholeheartedly encourage the district to continue talks with act and CCA to come to a fair and negotiated

solution I think it is unfortunate that these loyal employees may be going into yet another summer break without the confidence and security of a signed contract this District like many organizations is only as good as its people we all know how extraordinary our students and families are and I know we would all agree that our staff is just

as remarkable it would be nice to see and actually show how much we really do appreciate what they do for our kids now I do not believe in just simply complaining not without also assisting with possible solutions therefore I remain dedicated and willing to assist in any way possible to make these positive changes in our district like so many others I just want what is

best for all all of our students I really look forward to working with everyone next school year to achieve these goals with that I thank you for your time and I hope everyone has a great summer Jennifer CI good evening and thank you for allowing me to speak tonight my name is jennif frini and I'm currently the TK

teacher at Dixon Elementary I spoke last time in regards to our kindergarten staff who was being recognized by other schools and they were coming to observe how we run our kindergarten yesterday I met with the kindergarten teachers and we have Running Records of 18 22 and 24 which is second grade reading level so they're doing an amazing job part of

that is the learning dynamics that we're using plus the early bird late bird program that we utilize at Dixon um the rest of the staff is no different so our students come with many burdens that make education not so much of a priority for them but our staff Works tirelessly to help them and they're passionate hardworking and invested they

care about their students and their future our staff Works tirelessly to reach them with any changing techniques they can find so with that Mr whale came to us yesterday with a new vision he's quite the Visionary he has an Austin vision for our school and he wants to have us go full steam ahead he wants to turn us into a steam school which means

science technology engineering math and arts his ideas are enthusiastically accepted by our staff and I'm excited to see where our school will go we recently had teacher appreciation week and many regards I work with unsung heroes whose story and positive effect on the world will never truly be recognized thank you for your time [Applause] we're now at at changes and deletions

you know this golf tournament every year and and it's growing in terms of yes oh thank you thank you that is so true the GF tournament um what I had done was saved a little bit from each year in the event that we had one year where we had to skip a tournament because we didn't have a host so um and and we did have a

little bit of um concern over that one year so that is why we had this extra large amount this year but um right now we're down to um the technical term of budget dust so now that you've approved or will approve this um there will be next to nothing left so it's going to be very very important next year that we

start to build up our reserves again and get everybody out engulfing and donating and and doing all the good things that everybody does to help make this tournament a success thank you may I'd like to comment I really like that golf ball drop that they had this year so we need to really advertise that one I know

it was new this year we we are um looking at that already and we're right on the verge of setting the date so um you'll see something on that pretty soon I hope perfect thank you I have a comment yeah I have a comment um Mr no uh Julie you haven't done this last few years but every year it's got better

know we we notice that district and act have worked to create a job description for for the change of intervention to instructional coach I just I you know just what was the whole reason for that change if anybody and c and Associated Chino teachers work together to drop a job description that better fit what's needed right now and this job

description better fits the role of the instructional coach I see okay thank you Mr n oh hearing nothing further all in favor I I opposed the motion passes by a vote of 5 we're now information items are there any questions or comments we're at communications Miss Blair and so I as we near the um first of all I want to start off with the

white I didn't know there was a white thing going on so I'm glad I wore my white yay me but you're not wearing white Todd so yeah um as the school year reaches its closing I I do want to thank all teachers and staff for an amazing year and and I want to share something that we received earlier

today um regarding improvements within our district the graduation rates improved in Chino Valley Unified this past school year in 2012 86.5% of our students graduated in 2015 it uh went up to 89.7% graduation rate definitely attributed to our teachers intervention Specialists all staff at every level thank you so much everything that is done in the district to support

our um classroom staff has made an impact our dropout rate in 2015 uh decreased to 6.7% the County's overall dropout rate is 11.4% so that is amazing progress in our district do we have more work to do of course but we cannot um continue to disregard that there are improvements in both areas the graduation rate of our

English language Learners increased by 1% in 2015 any progress with our English language Learners to meet is the best reward out out of all of the graduation rates the highest gain was with our socioeconomically disadvantaged students um who in 2014 their graduation rate was 82.5% and it's increased to 84.1% so thank you to all staff as we

end the school year be proud of everything you've accomplished on behalf of every student in Chino Valley UNIF I thank you so much for that moving on to um a topic that I have discussed at during prior board comments of mine bullying I I continue to Advocate that through the lcap we incorporated we incorporate peer counseling it doesn't

have to be a specific bullying program but there are neighboring districts that have peer counseling to address um the concerns that I've expressed previous ly we cannot continue to pretend that it isn't a problem in our district even if one student continues to endure bullying it affects all of us and we should be concerned so I hope that in this coming

school year the board um that we will unite on this topic and and Broach it so that it's in our lcap very soon I also think that the peer counseling courses that we could Implement through elcap would also address the increase in the drug use that we are experiencing right now we cannot ignore the fact that the

expulsions that we have seen recently in our board sessions are tied to drug use it really bothers me um I and it seems that each time the groups are getting younger in the expulsions and I have a very difficult time time expelling Junior High School students like that should not be happening and so I continue to advocate

for programs that will address not just the bullying but the peer pressure that exists in our schools and we cannot pretend that it there isn't a rise right now lastly I I want to speak on the new report card that was presented to us um in a presentation teachers have expressed concerns teachers are sharing the concerns with parents parents are

sharing the concerns with me and I think that before we proceed or do something that is not going to be accepted widely by our Educators and our parents that maybe we form committees at school sites I mean we're going to need input and buyin so that a small group of teachers isn't the voice for all teachers that will ultimately have to

end up using the new report card the things that I've heard so far are not very positive um and one item sticks out and it and I and I don't even know for sure that it's in the report card because the Powerpoints font was so small that I couldn't even ensure that what was being reported to me was accurate but they

said that there is going to be an assessment of our students on Integrity I I don't know if that truly is in there but I don't know how you grade Integrity in elementary school um so if that is something we are assessing our students on I I think we need to revisit or explain to parents what that truly

means so that's all I've got I I again I want to thank all levels of staff for a great school year and I look forward to the excitement of graduations next month have a good night Mr no thank you um last week I was at Road Elementary School and I've seen these students bringing all these pre flowers and I said children why are you

guys bringing the flowers and they said don't you know Mr na it's a teacher appreci appreciation day so I gave those kids a hugs and it was really nice that kids are learning to appreciate and relate with their teachers and I think that's all due to our teachers our work so thank you and this week it's a CSA a week and

I have given a gift last year uh yeah actually I got a promotion from my brothers so I can match with Donnie's shirt colored now but um I wear this with distinction and honor I can still recall last year when I spoke to this C member on the ground and he was on a mo lawn moow and I had stopped him because I

waved at him and we're talking and it happens to be that he's got only two years to work and he would retire and he said Mr na I loved my job because I was working for children and I said really and then he said could you talk to me on my another year I said why because one year I lost

80% of hearing because of my work and I said wow but I'm truly blessed I I'm thankful that I have given my time for our kids as general value unified and seeing this man and and giving him a handshake I was really thinking about everybody in classified secretaries and in the quad picking up up trash and and and you can imagine in

high school setting you have literally 50 hundreds of trash cans just the trash cans that's not even including the bathroom but our members are doing everything they can to make our school clean and help our children so I'm really honored to have this shirt on me today and celebrating the classified employees day now at Road um so I went on and spoke to

teachers and say hey oh look at all these children and one of teachers said but Mr na work on my benefits um the insurance had gone up so much this year and just the whole program is going crazy she said and I need help with benefits so I felt for her cuz my insurance also had had gone

up so high too and for our hardworking teachers we deserve to treat them with respect um so I said I would advocate for what your need because it is real um Lon truid he was our board member and passed away and this is after hearing Dave black just a couple years ago um I feel for the family and people

had who had known them as a great people and this life is very short as we were baby and you know you have babies um it's all about them they cry when they're hungry they're cold they'll be crying it's all about them but as we grow older I think we going to opposite direction it's no longer it's about us

it's about others and then future and we're talking about the youth we find joy in giving and I think this is what our district is about talking about bullying as our one of our parents said you cannot just stop bullying unless you build a character in a person and this is a wisdom I gotten from CVA students

unless you have have the character built in bullying and all this hatred jealousy won't go away so I truly believe that we have to start from the bottom and how this country was built on how many of our founding fathers sacrific their lives and their blood for this country and we need to give a value in each individual students

and drug problems yes many students are involved in drug problems especially who are in concern but the reasoning of having drugs is was quite simple it was an attention that they were looking for attention when you have broken down families when the is no longer having conversation with children they have to find something else and even those bad

attentions was better than no attention at all and usually those bad attentions would lead into the gang problems drug problems and alcohol problems because those had to be introduced by somebody so let us know to commit communicate let us give hands to the kids when you see children even though it's not our own we need to take

responsibility as an adult to reach out to them and many of us do our teachers and principles so we thank you and lastly um our Ben showcases oh it was an awesome experience being at Ayala High School and Hills High School and especially being an old man like this a song I of the tiger really excited me so thank you for all the students and

and music teachers for your hard work thank you good night Miss vies so I should apologize for missing our last meeting um I was so prepared to be here and so some of what I was going to say I'm going to say tonight so I I guess I should apologize again for uh going on too long but I I want to say in

the spirit of Celebration that is in May um of course celebrating our CSEA employees as well as our teacher employees I was at three celebratory events a couple weeks ago um two at aala and one at uh Oakridge Elementary School Oakridge had their jagathon and instead of using school time they did a an evening event um it was spectacular they

had Polynesian dancers there from aala and they had the JV basketball team there from Chino Hills High School to work with the kids they had some of their own kids doing taekwan do and then they also had the whole run and healthful foods for the families they were just pouring in there um and it was a terrific event organized by the PTA at

at Oak and it was great to be there then I was at two events at aala one organized by Debbie Weiss um recognizing or the it's it's the anointing or the announcing of the um valedictorian and Saluda Toran and in fact the top 10 students in the school um first time I'd ever been there um the top 10 students

each were in uh asked to invite their most inspirational teacher um um I thought it was a terrific idea to recognize uh staff members and the part that they've played in students lives it was very very exciting and um also the AVID program at aala invited me to come for their first college Signing Day so like athletes um they had every student

who was going to college come and be recognized and sign their intent to have a spectacular Adventure in the next uh four years was a really outstanding experience um and then I have one other thing I wanted to say which was I I was contacted by a former student of mine who's a 10th grader at aala and she and

another 10th grader Have Been instrumental in um establishing a debate tournament for our elementary students and tomorrow afternoon at Country Springs Elementary School there are going to be about a hundred elementary students participating in academic debate I don't think that um nimu knew I was a debate coach when I first went to Redlands High School so I'm really

excited to see what it's going to be like tomorrow um but I was so struck by the efforts of these two girls um and not just this year they started last year they're just in high school their first two years of high school and they've already made a huge difference so I'm hoping we're going to be able to bring them forward and and

recognize them and then in closing um I am the daughter of a teacher I am the niece of a teacher I was a teacher for a good many years um my uncle my dad's youngest brother wrote a book gifts by the side of the road um and I did give that to the other board members tonight and members of the

cabinet um he was originally published in Chicken Soup for the Soul and this one particular piece that he wrote um you can get it online and you can get it with a poster whatever for teachers but the title of it is I am a teacher I'm not going to read it all to you because he was quite verbose but I am going to

read a portion in honor of our teachers as well as the students we serve he he wrote oh I should say his name Jack schlauer he uh worked in the Anaheim school district for most of his career I am the most fortunate of all who labor a doctor is allowed to Usher life into the world in one magic moment

I am allowed to see that that life has reborn each day with new questions ideas and friendships an architect knows that if he builds with care his structure May stand for centuries a teacher knows if he builds with love and truth what he builds will last forever I'm a warrior doing daily battle against peer pressure negativity fear Conformity Prejudice

ignorance and apathy but I have great allies intelligence curiosity parental support individuality creativity Faith love and laughter all rush to my banner with indomitable support and who do I have to thank for this wonderful life I'm so fortunate to experience but you the public the parents for you've done me the great honor to entrust to me your

greatest contribution to Eternity your children and so I have a past that is rich in memories I have a present that is challenging adventurous and fun because I am allowed to spend my days with the future awesome teacher okay so let me start off with retirements so we've got quite a few today and with a number of years Nancy

School Ed farus 17 17 years of service custodian one at cattle Leslie scads 28 years of service school secretary Country Springs Joanne kister 20 years of service Health technician at Briggs Virginia McMurray 20 years of service school secretary 1 at Briggs just a little side note Miss Joanne as everybody would call her Miss Joanne has helped so many students and helped so

many parents feel at ease with their students and their health issues and so um I know she's going to be greatly missed as is Miss Virginia because Miss Virginia is almost like like the backbone of of Briggs so um congratulations and good luck on your all of them congratulations and good luck on your retirement and don't forget

about us okay so comments we are an amazing District I mean we the military salute like Denise it always gets me teed and choked up um you know it's funny because as Miss scha was SP uh spoke about growing up I recognized one of the military students who I remember when he was in a stroller and so I won't say his name because I'm

not going to embarrass him but um it's just amazing to see these youngsters become young men and women and then to see them um see I get I get silly to see them um give themselves to the military for our freedom is is just bre taking and so um Good Luck to them and I hope they come back safely um and to the parents

also who have to wait for them to come back congratulations to everyone who got recognized tonight from the teachers to the counselor Miss Mrs Hughes she was my son's counselor and she was just so awesome with him he really needed a good counselor so so she was great with him um the nurse csca live is um sanino

County Medal of Honor recipients AXA recipients Hope Center and even to the students who were recognize and receed scholarships this evening congratulations to all of them real quickly I just want to share that I attended the sardino County School Board Association legislative night which proved to be pretty interesting um I also this weekend had the opportunity to attend the csba

delegate assembly um and I had to miss the opening or the reopening of the Chino Museum because of that but I'm actually going to share some information at the next board meeting in regards to the conference because some really neat presentations and some um pretty interesting information I'll probably send it off to the board members prior to the meeting um I also attended the

May Revis budget Workshop this past uh Wednesday and um very interesting information I've I think I've attended the May Revis every year except for maybe one year that I didn't have the opportunity to um attend um Mr Joseph this evening and at prior meetings um there have been comments in regards to bullying uh before implementing any new programs I would

like to know what each of our schools in our district is doing now to address bullying um and so and I know our school year is coming to an N so I'm not asking for anything right now but if at the beginning of next year if we can present uh make perhaps do a presentation of some sort to let the board know what the

schools are doing um before we move forward in any other direction okay you will get a future presentation thank you um also finally student board members Miss sh the left before I could thank her for her service on our on our um School Board I'll tell you we have been so fortunate to have such um interactive and enthusiastic student board members

and so uh I just want to thank her for her service I'm not sure she's going to be here next month you know it's June so I can't imagine she want to be here but um I want to thank her and then I look forward to our new student board member Carlos and I look forward to him being

on the Das I think it's been a little while since we've had a gentleman a young man on the board and so look forward to that and with that just wish everyone a good evening and thank you thank you Mr [Music] Joseph Chino Hills High freshman Ria alaki who is enrolled in Chino Valley Unified School District virtual High

School online program has been named a grand prize finalist in the la music Center's 28th Annual Spotlight Awards program Ria is only one of 14 student artists from Southern California to receive the honor and a $5,000 scholarship the finalists who were selected from 1100 student auditions will perform Jun June 11th at the spotlight Grand Finale performance at

Walt Disney Concert H Hall in Los Angeles Mrs Blair talked about the good news having to do with our graduate graduation rate but there's also good news 10 of our schools have been named 2015 California honor role for having consistently high levels of student academic achievement improving achievement over time and reducing achievement gaps this year school s are

borba chapparel Country Springs Eagle Canyon glenme cattle Liberty and Wickman Elementary Schools Briggs fundamental and Canyon Hills junior high CVUSD schools have been on the honor role every year since it was created in 2007 the honor role is presented by educational results partnership and the campaign for business and education excellence and that will conclude my comments I was able to view some of the

senior projects from Brian igon students at the C USD boardroom their projects utilize a scientific process forming a hypothesis all the projects were amazing some of the in Innovations included an automatic toilet seat specifically Geared for keeping the seat clean and dry another group made a better glove for fuel hockey another group made a GPS self-driven trash

can I also visited the old house school Museum in Chino I really recommend to anyone interest in our community history to take a visit there the artifacts and the building amass so much history and culture during that bygone era you can't help but to imagine how the people may have felt family was a big deal and the

school was the center of it the Y the high school special dance was again extravagant with parents staff and students having a great time thank you to the special ed department and parents for making it memorable experience for our students the yala band showcase an Chino Hills was out of this world the beginning Elementary performance was amazing most of the students had one ear

under their belt it was far out stuff the Jazz Ensemble it could stand up admirably to any big band without a doubt this was a powerful group of students who heard music from Star Wars the flag parade and finally the the grand finale America it was beautiful to the ears classified employees are the unsung heroes in our schools their work is

invaluable to the educational SE and we couldn't reach the goals we have to set for students achievement without them the work of our classified employees is easily overlooked but behind the scenes work matters every day to the success of our students thank you for all being the spokes to the district and I have to not my dad for 17 years as

a maintenance for the Anaheim Unified School District and he loved it he loved it so maybe I I could also get one of those shirts too I mean I could show it to my dad I think it would be so cool that would be neat my poppy would be proud of [Music] me and um in memory of former board

member Lonnie Truitt who passed away May 12th at the age of 72 a moment of of Silence I now adjourned their regular meeting at the board of education at 9:13
