being recorded and streamed live on the district's youtube channel pat please support the board meant in closed sessions from 531 to 611 regarding anticipated litigation two possible cases a student readmission a student expulsion public employee appointment elementary and high school assistant principals conference with labor negotiators act and csca and public employee employee performance evaluation superintendent no action was

taken that requires public disclosure mr knox yeah i'd like to ask to suspend this procedure that is printed in today's agenda i would like to have our families and parents and children to speak on non-agenda items as we have done in the past if if we would go over time then we could uh have them speak after

the end of action items but i would like to suspend the rule i don't know why it's printed this way i haven't seen it before to not have public speakers speak on the right timing do i have consensus yes you have consensus however it should be extended for everybody why 30 minutes and this is essential this is a public event for everybody so

we have two mr bridge i am happy to allow the comment time to be extended towards the end of the meeting and i'm happy to sit here as long as it takes to go through every single public comment thank you just so you know the reason the agenda was changed just so you know the reason the agenda

was was changed was to get the business of the district done first it only takes a couple of minutes that way we can listen to all the speakers uninterrupted is a third grader from howard cattle elementary miss ginny macias can you please step forward here we go can you never check make sure her mic's on please stand

place your right hand over your heart ready begin i pledge allegiance to the flag in the united states of america and deeply republic we should stand one nation under god and indivisible with liberty and justice for all [Applause] you we're now going to move on to item 1c a brief staff report on sr3 and with tonight's staff report is miss

dr grace park or mrs fellows good evening board president schaefer board dr enfield and community tonight the elementary and secondary school emergency relief sr-3 is on the agenda for adoption on march 11 2021 the american rescue plan act was signed into law which includes the sr-3 funding one-time money for school districts this one-time money allows schools to be

able to continue to safely open and operate in person learning on june 30th 2021 the california department of education released the budget expenditure plan and the format for the safe return to in-person instruction during summer when schools were closed but with an expectation to get community input thus cde revised the submission deadline from september 30th to october 29th

there are four requirements to receive the esther iii funds which include the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services plan the plan can be found on the district website under coven 19 updates and the board adopted it on september 2nd 2021 second was to conduct meaningful consultation with our community stakeholder groups and third the district is required to

use at least twenty percent of its s or three apportionment for expenditures related to addressing the academic impact of lost instructional time through the implementation of evidence-based interventions lastly it must be adopted by the board cvusd consulted in a meaningful manner with required community members and provided a variety of opportunities for public input in the development of the

esser3 plan the district's community engagement consisted of surveys and engagement with community stakeholders groups as listed on this slide we also formed an sr3 committee that included school site administration and parent guardian representatives from all school sites union leadership and applicable district staff we also engaged our students through the superintendent student advisory council engagement consisted of a variety of

activities which included a drop-the-dot activity where stakeholders were able to rank their priorities for our students small group discussion with district side administration reviewed other allowable expenses and a variety of surveys the estimated eligible funding is 34.04 million dollars as indicated 20 percent needs to be dedicated toward addressing the academic impact covet closures had on our students which is 6.8 million directly

to school sites school sites created their own plans specific to their school needs and the remaining 27.24 million for district level priorities which will impact all school sites the reoccurring themes for the school sites include supplemental common core materials professional learning communities enrichment activities multi-tiered system of support for behavior supplementary instructional materials credit recovery programs increased mental health staff

contacted contracted services for mental health support multi-tiered systems of support for academics and tutoring sr3 funding will allow us to supplement our operations so that we can continue to operate in-person instruction safely with this one-time money we evaluated the areas of need that would benefit all our schools and were not fully funded using separate funds we arrived at five priorities that we

felt were important and we could address with one time money this is a summary of feedback for district at large sr3 priorities from seven community stakeholder groups which included survey from parents guardians and families employees and engagement meetings with lcap dlac sac act and csea the following sr-3 committee reviewed the summary of feedback and made the following recommendations for the sr-3

priorities with one being the highest priority and five the lowest one technology two mental health services and support three indoor air quality four covid19 testing and contact tracing five pandemic training based on the sr3 committee feedback sr-3 money will be spent on the top three district level priorities as well as the 20 percent designated for school sites

this slide depicts the allocation of the district's portion of sr3 money and will be supplemented by sr2 money and other federal state monies technology ranked as the highest priority is number one in previous plans cvusd purchased educational technology to support distance learning these devices are now being used to implement 101 for student to to device ratios within the classrooms in order to

expand the current educational technology implementation the current hardware and infrastructure across the district will need upgrading this will include cabling network infrastructure data center network security wireless cyber security and voice collaboration mental health services and support rank second highest cvusd delivers mental health and social emotional support through a multi-tiered systems of support which looks at improving school safety and student

connection to the school through explicit prevention and targeted supports when needed to support the district's current initiative the plan includes additional staffing contracted services and materials and supplies to support mental health the sec ranked mental health as their number one priority as a district we wanted to better understand students mental health needs the superintendent student advisory council hosted an anonymous secondary

student survey for 7th through 12th grade that ran from september 30th to october 8th over 850 secondary students responded based on their responses and sac input mental health support will come in the form of social emotional support and additional counselors to assist with coping skills for identified stressors as well as mental health resources with this framework we are continuing to work

with sac to determine their needs as end users and how we can best navigate to assist our students indoor air quality ranked the third highest in order to provide a safe environment due to the covet pandemic we will upgrade the air conditioning units to minimum efficiency reporting value also known as merv 13 and replace air conditioning units that

cannot be upgraded to merv 13. in previous plans air quality was not addressed and this has become a safety need due to covet 19. and this concludes the presentation thank you mrs fellows we'll bring it back up mrs ghana do you have a question yes go ahead so one of my continued concerns uh in the district and particularly um with

the mental health services and supports is that this needs to be a collaborative process i have over the last several meetings requested more involved engagement with all stakeholder groups and i think that a 21st century school district by all means with these technology investments will get there on that front but a 21st century school district also has a collaborative and holistic view of

mental health and so my concern is that and parents have repeatedly in years past and presently um with these particular monies and services and supports voice concerns about true engagement um i mean anyone can convene a meeting it's another thing to convene a collaborative meeting where stakeholders are meaningfully engaged and giving feedback so i would like to know specifically for

mental health services because this is for i think many parents in our district a top line priority right now what are we going to do to actually make this a collaborative process so we are working with the students because as uh mentioned they are our end users we are using what we call an accordion style where we take students

information and we take it back to our mental health support team and from there it's back and forth based on their needs we take a look at our current system which are is our multi-tiered systems of support behavior there are three tiers involved where we look at enhancing each one of those systems we also with sac provided the students what the services

were we do know that we need to strengthen the system especially with tier one there are a lot of mental health resources that they do not access or that they do not know about so we know that community there is a we want to improve in communication and providing that information i do want to share that sometimes our students do want to speak

to their counselors and or their teachers confidentially without their parents knowing so we do know that in our process when it gets to tier two or tier three it's important that we do inform our parents um especially when there could be a self-harm or injurious behavior so in terms of the collaboration we're continuing to collaborate with our different stakeholder groups lcap

for instance will be following up on their november 9th meeting regarding mental health yeah i don't while i appreciate the information i don't think that addresses my specific question which is uh we are investing seven million dollars into mental health services there needs to be a feedback loop so when you're implementing new programming uh the people that are impacted by it should be

a part of the process to give feedback on it so if we start with certain programs and supports and those are not matching the needs of the community we should then reevaluate and see what other supports and services we can provide and see you know throughout an iterative process figure out what's the best fit for the students and parents

and stakeholders in our community so if we don't have information about that process i'd like to see that process developed additionally i have asked for a committee and i know that asking for committees a committee will get formed but i i think that what happens in that committee is more important than forming the committee we can put a committee

together but i think the process that happens in that committee needs to be more collaborative and i think again if we're going to be a 21st century school district you know we're testing new things we should be iterating that's 21st century is to iterate when things don't work and then also celebrate things when they do work and

find funding and support for those programs moving forward so i hope that we can have more information presented either to the board at a formal board meeting um or in a more informal context because i think that there are parents across the spectrum of our school district that either don't know about existing services so my fear is that they might not know about the

new services but even more important we should be getting that feedback we shouldn't be implementing grant funding and not go after the results that we're looking for duly noted and we are working on an action plan where we will have the accordion style feedback from our community from our stakeholders again like our student users with administration and parents when

applicable mr no yes i just like not to make the same mistake we had made regards to our our funding when we make decisions in a haste way that's what happens our parents suffer and children suffer even though it was geared set aside to help our children so at this time let's take time and find out what's working in other

districts and there's lots of avenues that through a personal contact and through different superintendents of programs that we need to research and what's working the best for those districts and we can improve on that so it's like this a lot of times when i attend um sports games and that's amongst our schools and and they play uh i mean have a great fun and all that

but sometimes when you they're traveling or inviting different teams from different districts we get to learn something something big and in our education i think that should be a first mindset we need to always look at the reports coming out of the state or the country like top school has been awarded to oxford academy in orange county

and then whitney high school from cerritos school district and also yes detroit so when we look at any programs whether it's mental health or education look at other districts and see what's working and what is benefiting the best way to our children so that's my comment thank you okay any other comments or questions from board see no lights we will move on now to

item 1d comments from student representative i believe esther is with us via zoom oh may i speak yes please okay perfect thank you we're president schaefer members of the board superintendent enfield cabinet and distinguished guests good evening just to reintroduce myself my name is esther kim and i'm the student member on the cvusd board of education as well as

the president of the district student advisory council this tuesday the cvusd student advisory council met with district mental health professionals and administrators to discuss the allocation of the s3 mental health budget looking at the results of a survey distributed to all secondary school sites the council identified a lack of access to counselor support as well as academic stress

as the student body's main mental health concerns in this meeting student representatives gave first-hand feedback on the intervention curriculum and mts's resources and developed plans to publicize and supplement new and existing resources on the school level we were excited to find that the district is planning to appoint licensed mental health professionals and designate wellness centers on each

school site available to not only medical and special education students but also general education students for walk-in and scheduled positions upon implementation the student advisory council will be taking this information and making these valuable resources known and accessible to our students i recommend that these resources be implemented within schools through the formation of site committees consisting of administrators advisory council

student representatives teachers and school counseling staff who all have valuable contributions in fitting these resources to their school's individual needs the coping 19 pandemic has brought along another more subtle mental health mental health pandemic students are feeling more unmotivated disconnected and isolated than ever before and this is affecting our academic and extracurricular performance existing support systems are either

close to the general student body or they require complicated processes that mechanize mental health rather than personalizing it our counseling staff are putting in immense amounts of work to serve as both academic and mental supports but they're spread absurdly thin especially in highly populated schools such as chino hills and ayala and middle schools where student-to-counselor ratios reach more than 500 to 1.

what we truly need are full-time permanent staff in designated closed spaces who we can build personal relationships with as well as efficient walk-in systems that allow anyone to come in anytime without complicated procedure and comfortably converse with their counselors although mental health is a long-standing issue we previously we previously didn't have the funding and resources for it

but now we do this budget will be pivotal in extending and expanding our current support systems to general education students who are in dire need of these resources so we need to use it in the most effective and transparent possible way with students and school site staff heavily involved in the planning process thank you and thank you for continuously

advocating for your students in mental health uh your your important voice in the topic so thank you we'll now move on to item 1e comments from our representative groups ms walker will not be joining us tonight i do see mr hernandez from csea schaefer board members uh superintendent infield cabinet staff and community um it's been mentioned a few times or

excuse me at the last board meeting both from the podium and from the diocese of anti-union statements either those that were elected or hired to represent employees have interests or excuse me have limits to what they can negotiate there are issues that we are open to negotiate and simply the effects of those working conditions i can say that i as chapter president of

chino 102 don't necessarily agree with everything our local chapter does or agrees with but is my it is my obligation to represent all employees regardless of what my personal feelings or beliefs are i can say that as a whole i support what unions support and advocate for which is the working staff it's been mentioned numerous times previously

we can agree passionately about something our different viewpoints and our beliefs but we should rep we should respect others rights to have a different view than that of our own sometimes anger and passion get the best of us but it's where we direct that lastly i'd like to talk about the level of services that our staff is being expected to complete

classified staff has been tasked or asked to do more than within more within the same period of time sanitizing disinfecting health office staff attendance custodial everywhere the expectations from school side administrators are that of pre-covered it's simply not possible so please keep in mind the next time that a call goes to voicemail or something just simply gets delayed and

being done that we are all simply doing our best within the time that's allowed thank you very much and that concludes my comments thank you sir [Music] do i see is mrs bearden here from champ there you are mrs barbara bearden champ president good evening president schaefer school board members dr enfield cabinet and chino valley community first i'd like to

thank the champ members who were able to take some time to attend our champ speaker event on tuesday evening thriving university's joel hood provided a much needed reminder to take time to breathe by building belonging cultivating connections reflecting on our purpose engaging in self-compassion amplifying attention awareness and awe tapping into thankfulness and appreciation harnessing our thoughts and finally

empowering empathy every day a couple of ideas that i thought were important for us to remember were the importance of cultivating connections and to try to avoid multitasking which is not easy for us i loved her message of one tasking so we can amplify our awareness and look for moments of awe i would also like to recognize our

dedicated parents who have served on the sr3 and lcap committees your input is valuable to the school sites and we appreciate the time you take to collaborate with us to make our schools and district a great place of learning for our students and a fantastic district to work in as we approach holiday festivities please remember to be safe if you or your children are not

feeling well please stay home until you are all symptom free working together we can limit exposures and keep our students in school thank you for your time have a wonderful evening thank you ma'am now move on to item 1f changes and deletions pat do you have any changes and deletions there are no changes or deletions we'll now move on to section two action

items we're not the first action item which is item two a one elementary and secondary school emergency relief funds expenditure plan recommend the board of education approve the elementary and secondary school emergency relief funds expenditure plans are there any speakers one request to speak from the parent advocacy of chino valley whoever is going to represent you folks

just keep in mind please at the time uh is still three minutes when the light system is the same thank you sorry i don't have my glasses so i'm using my sunglasses as for the esser plan the process of engagement with this plan is another example of the district's lack of commitment to family engagement we appreciate ms ghania's

comments on trying to build this engagement and offering a a what was happening at these meetings at these esr meetings we had two people from our our group there they got about 15 20 minutes to put in their ideas this everything that was presented to you was already pre-fab they voted on maybe one or two priorities they switched things around a

little bit but they spent their time two hours three different times over the last month or so and it was a waste of time this is what this district is giving your priorities to tonight we ask you again to make family engagement a priority in this district to value the relationship of school and home there are strategies that dr

enfield is quite familiar with to address these concerns but as parents we don't see where they're being implemented we want to create a strong relationship between the district and the families so we can come together to support our children we came across an amazing description of how this district values parents and experts yet as parents we have not seen

these strategies implemented you can find this video at californiaengage.org they were very happy to promote all of these strategies that we have never seen it is clear that dr enfield and his staff have the knowledge to implement these strategies but not the willingness or possibly the funds that's up to you we appreciate the board's willingness over the last couple of months to open

communication with us directly we also uh we would also like the board to commit to supporting and funding district-wide family engagement programs next we'd like to take this opportunity to update the community on some of the work we've done over the last two weeks we're happy to report that we had a meeting with mr bridge that was a good step in

in moving forward we were also happy to report that we've been in contact with miss garnier and we are still trying to schedule a meeting we've had many conversations with mr nan mr cruz and mr schaefer made himself available to a roundtable discussion and while we didn't always agree we took his advice and we contacted council members and he even

helped us set up a meeting with mr chen so while we may not agree on everything we are still working together and we appreciate all the work that you've done for us we just need you to push mr dr enfield to do the same thank you [Applause] i see you mr cruz mr now did you push your light also

mr na had you pushed your light also no okay mr cruz yeah dr anfield let's table it because this is actually a good time we have a lot of people here i think the next come around we're gonna have a lot of people engaged so it's actually a good opportunity to table it and just come back um mr cruz on that this is due on

october 29th to the state of california if it does not meet that timelines then we would not be able to apply for the money so just understand that so the board has the ability to promotion first before we could discuss yeah i was just giving that that bit of information yes okay may i now have a motion

so moved i have a second second sec mr cruz is that you no mr bridge okay the motion by mr na nissenko by mr bridge comments questions or discussion from the diocese i have one mr na okay uh so what's the amount are we talking about what the fund uh expenditure plan it was 34 million dollars mister no but

i want to make sure exactly so i get the numbers correct so that was eight point uh 6.8 million that the schools are working on currently as part of that plan for their um academic okay interventions and then 27.2 million for district level priorities i see and but uh and it's the due date is october 29th yes i believe that's october 29th is

there a set date set set date i mean yes that is a set date um is it possible that we can have extension no there is no extensions no extensions folks folks folks please this is the board's time to deliberate yeah so um october 29th we have about a week uh and that's a a very short period of time

finally speak up i'm so sorry my audio is a little bit fuzzy right now okay oh yeah are you able to hear me yes esther we're working on fixing that for you okay so i'm so sorry i think the board meeting is muted but please let me know so um it's a week and we're talking about 6.8

million dollars i don't mind having a a special meeting is everyone able to hear me i don't can can we mute her is there a possibility we can mute thank you yeah until we figure out what her issue is uh with the audio i think she wants to speak yeah but yeah it's a six million eight million dollars

i wouldn't mind having an emergency meeting uh the board meeting to pass this item after we get more input from our parents my understanding of some of the complaints about the process um was that it was not as engaging as it could have been or should have been i think i'm understanding that to be and i'm seeing nods to that effect

i think my question would be that are the outcomes the issue or the process that i understand the process is related to the outcomes clearly but we also ran a district-wide survey we went through several different district committees and one of the things that i thought was positive about the results from all these mechanisms was the top two things identified almost

across the board were technology and mental health so those were two priorities that in all of these feedback mechanisms everyone seemed to agree that these were things that were priorities for the district if that is is not the case my question would be then what are we doing to receive feedback between now and potentially an emergency meeting and

i do want to speak very quickly these state deadlines are fixed so that's not negotiable that's not something that we are saying up here just to say it these grant deadlines are fixed so we will miss out on getting funds regardless of how we use them we'll miss out on getting funds if we don't get them in so i think i'm asking a fair

question which is if these results from seven different mechanisms are all saying that one and two largely are technology and mental health then is the indoor air quality priority something that's not supported i'm just trying to figure out sort of what and i hear the comments about and i appreciate it and clearly i am pro team collaboration i think that's the best

way to do decision making and to get to results but aside from that process lacking in one component of this does that mean that negates the entire process of the survey with the families the employees and all these other mechanisms so i think that is a fair question to ask thank you one of the things i heard was

allocation of funds for our parent engagement center is would staff be able to just give us they don't have to use a rundown of what but a amount of this money that may be uh allocated to the parent engagement center ms bills can you answer that that's designated for mental health and included in that is the needs of the students for example

they had mentioned counselors uh we're looking to designate a wellness room so that our students can go in addition we have heard that parents through the family engagement center would like mental health workshops we are contracting services with already existing providers to be able to provide that so our parents and guardians can learn more to support mental health

so it is all encompassed with that money there is specific money and line items on that's indicated for example we have cheeto hills counseling to provide mental health services similarly we know that the family engagement center needs an upgrade in their instructional technology as they work with their parents in the family addition center and this money will help to support for

translation services because we have many other languages besides english materials to help students at home and time for staff to be trained on the 12 powers of family business and engagement in our future lcap meetings additionally we are going to use some of those strategies to engage our stakeholders thank you very much dr infield i would like to

um make sure that some of this money goes through also our communications to make sure that we're getting out all the programs that we have because we can have some of the best programs in the state but as long if nobody knows about them then they're not going to benefit any of our students so i want to

make sure that we're pushing out all the services that are provided either through our family engagement through communications or even from the different school sites folks i do see your lights mr nai had you next yes i still like to have another meeting and maybe a brief study session first and we can have more parents speaking to us on

that meeting and we could probably end up with same uh plan or different but i think manager of this amount of budget that we were going to spend i think worth a second look are you done mr dunn i'm done yeah mr cruz please you're next i agree as well there has to be um satisfactory when it comes to parents

feeling that they were part of this essler iii i recommend a motion to have a special board meeting to to vote for this item 2.81 on the 28th okay my second emotion so is that a substitute motion yes yes okay we have a substitute motion on the floor which is to basically move this to a special meeting

on october 28th is that what you said on october 28th with a time to be determined um we have a motion by mr cruz in a second by mr gnaw we will do a roll call vote mr bridge we have to open up a conversation on the motion oh my apologies are there questions from the board mrs

uh i don't have an opposition to this but i think that i'm trying to parse the multiple issues that i've had communicated from parents so there's the issue of the esser funds and i have no objection to a board meeting on the 28th so let's just get that out there that's fine um but there has been a specific request not related

to these funds that we infuse more funding wherever it comes from into the parent engagement center so to that effect and if i'm procedurally wrong on this i'll come back and board comments and do a redux i would like to see a staff report on how we can infuse more funds into such a center with the intent of bringing a

resolution because frankly communicate there's been this district has had an issue with communications like i'm probably saying something that everybody's aware of um and i just come from a school of thought about over communicating but i also think that you know the last 18 months have fractured community ties across the board it's been very difficult and i think parents teachers our staff

and stakeholders you know unfortunately it just those fractures need to be repaired and i think that the school district can serve as a means of doing that it's a community institution that a lot of people have access to but i also think that if we were convening more frequently on certain issues if we were providing more support

if people knew that was a go-to resource it would be an availed resource so i think there's two issues here i just want to make sure we're being uh clear about both of those issues you know i'm happy to you know have a a secondary board meeting i just want to know i just guess the efficacy of i'm happy

to hear feedback but i think my concern is that what we're going to learn between now and then but i am open to having the board meeting and providing the public more space in order to hear about the esser funds but i want to make sure that doesn't overshadow the need for more focus on our parent engagement

center and parent engagement mechanisms any other comments or questions mr president yes the student representative wanted to make a comment can she hear us now okay please esther i've been there's been some um tech issues but i completely agree with miss kanye on the communication aspect i've had conversations with staff members on school sites who have concerns on communication as well

as students who are completely unaware of what is going on i understand that there are restrictions that the district must take when dealing with mental health health issues and that's why our um survey was not as informative as i would have liked it to be but one thing that i think we could have um is really sit down like i know i reached

out to all board members a while ago and dr enfield and this kanye agreed to perform with us on mental health um or another issue and i've been putting that off but we can definitely have a conversation just sit down and ask students how do you really want to see this happening because that conversation has not taken place with their students and i

think that really needs to take place because i've been meaning to talk about some logistical concerns or clarifications that i want to get on the mental health budget specifically because i do want to speak for the students and this was our primary um concern so number one just what school sites will our 10 counselors be implemented on

because i know we're getting general counselors they're intervention um general ed counselors and that is amazing however we do have a lot of secondary school sites i just want clarification on what sites will this be on and i also want to raise a question about the proportionality of these counselors some schools have like 200 students some schools like china hills have like three

thousand so will one like staff and wellness center be able to really handle those three thousand students build those personalized relationships with them right do we really need to even out those student counselor ratios right if we were to utilize our maybe utilize our associate counselors for that um i also want to raise the question of um the wellness centers currently

are um we have a wellness center in chino hills and we're planning to implement that on all of our other campuses however the chino hills wellness center is first of all it's not soundproof so anything that you say inside the wellness center everyone else can hear and that's not a great space for students to open up um in

and just creating that safe space where students can really um talk and i also want to raise the question of just how this is going to work on the site level um i've heard of a high school where they've had a referral system with counselors um where students can go to their academic counselor first and then those counselors determine if those

students need to see their site therapist or need to see a separate service like the outside services we are i'm acquiring so i just think we really need to sit down and talk about how many staff we really need how many do how much do we really need to invest in this to make this a worthwhile resource because if we have a

shortage of staff that could be even more like detriment there would be no use in this fund if our um counseling staff were overworked and overcrowded right so yeah i just really want to raise that issue of communication and i would like to propose having a conversation like a virtual forum or maybe a sit down in every

school with school administration just ask students what do you guys really want to see what do you guys think is the most effective mental health support we can give you guys because like i said before there's been an issue with communication with students especially on um aspects of this mental health bill that mental health budget that we truly

need but we haven't had too much of an opinion in [Applause] thank you esther and sorry about the technical difficulties mr na okay oh you see i think you guys opened the can of worms here tonight um but it's a good one it's a good one uh esther is a high school student at chino hills high school and she's talking about one high

school okay right now and we have other high schools but guess what we also have junior high schools and and also we have elementary schools we have kindergartners and we also have buena vista continuation high school and also cvla so having more thoughts and more input just from one student tonight we had what almost 10 items that we could add and

think about how we're going to use these resources and look at our parent group here we got 1 000 2000 members i'm sure you guys could brainstorm and look at other districts just be a legs and arms for us and extra eyes with together we can make this district better and when this district is better our kids will be safe and they'll blossom

so thank you for showing tonight i think we had almost a thousand parents who really worry about our children so let's grow it thank you dr infant i have a quick question if we did hold a special meeting on the 28th that's three days from the deadline cracked or two days what was the deadline 29th the 29th one day does that

give staff enough time on the back end to finish up all the prep and get the no it's a tremendous amount of work that goes into that report writing putting that report together so i don't know if that would be enough time for for staff i'll be honest with you are there any other questions from the board

mr or not please then uh how many days do you think that we will need to have uh staffs to revise it should uh revise concern arises i have to look at staff how many days what would we need the report the report can be revised i just want to remind um some of the some of the obstacles we ran against in

developing the plan the state issued the guidelines for the sr-3 plan on june 30th when you take a look at the timing of when the state released that information june 30th that's when families are on vacation that's when schools are closed and they issued a deadline of september 30th to meaningfully engage with our families which was near near to impossible and i

think the state realized that and extended that deadline to october 29th so even with that short time frame we took a lot of effort in engaging with a variety of stakeholders as you know the sr-3 has allowable expenses the state has outlined what you can spend money on and what you can't spend money on and it is one-time money

and so when we're looking at one-time money they should be devoted toward one-time costs for things that uh for services that don't perpetuate over time so staff in looking at those ester allowable expenses identified those specific things that we could afford to [Music] we could afford for all students and not specific students where we could touch all schools and so

we identified five priorities that we could spend money on but on those surveys that we ran for four weeks we allowed families to identify any other expense any other service they felt that the district should invest funding on and on that survey the family engagement center was not identified at all however in the lcap through other engagement processes we know that

family engagement is extremely important so if you take a look at our lcat plan there is funding specifically dedicated toward the family engagement center so to answer your question is there time to rewrite yes we'll take all the time necessary to revise the plan so that we can submit it by october 29th however i do want the board and our superintendent

to recognize that we spent a lot of time engaging with families and different groups who offered their input and so if we do spend another day engaging with a different group we could be not honoring the feedback that the other the other groups provided my question was how many days do we need for our staffs to successfully

submit should this plan be revised that was my question so to answer your question mr naf we meet on september 28th and you need us to revise it we'll we will we will revise it okay thank you mrs gagne um i would propose that we maybe meet earlier next week i do want to be conscientious that the state auditor is going to audit all

of our requests and expenditures so i want to make sure our requests are not only reflective of the community but accurate so that we don't have another issue we face so i don't know if with brown act notice requirements when the earliest we could meet is but i do want to make sure that we are allowing time to revise the application because

again when you're requesting millions of dollars from the state someone's going to come back and do their homework on it so i want to make sure that we provide staff time to accurately reflect whatever the conversation uh is so i don't know if we're able to meet on a tuesday instead i'm asking this sort of not knowing

since tonight's meeting it's you know 7 10 on thursday if we'd be able to notice that in time pat what's the uh special meeting uh time requirement is 24 hours for a special meeting okay or postings yes so we could meet on monday or tuesday of next week um i would then request that my colleagues amend their motion to an

know that the district has transparency the district is willing to communicate with them and they need to be able to have a voice on these issues as um i've heard from many of our board members however um i have been pitching the idea of public commenting to students for a while now and i found that it is very inaccessible first of

all because of just the driving required to get like just be on site and speak and second just students busy schedules so i would really like to make a big effort to institute for student communication not only to those students who are really speaking out at the forefront of their school communities but also those at the back of the room which

we are really trying to reach and who really need those mental health supports so within our about five days of time i'd like to request either i'm not the most updated on our regulations on um just talking about mental health because there appears to be some restrictions on that but i would love for the district or myself

if i have access to the student email network to send an email to all of our students all of our students have access to their own school emails um just providing them with information on the esther fund and telling them that we're spending a huge amount of dollars we're spending millions of dollars in mental health and we need you to tell us what like

where you see this going towards and just provide them with the method of giving feedback um if anything i with the sac or the district can organize this information and present it during the meeting or after at a related facility if that would be possible i would like some guidance on that please any further comments esther did we lose her

the announced vaccine mandate from the q a session with mr schaefer this past tuesday two things were made clear to us mr schaefer you said there is nothing you can do in regards to the mandate you also stated you have a child in school and as a family you chose to get vaccinated and on a personal level you

said you don't agree with the mandate you are like us and there are many like you and me that we still want a choice if it appears to be an unnecessary mandate it's worth the fight just like you had said you weren't you weren't willing to lose everything you have but we all raised our hand i have a knowledge of a handful of

districts publicly stating they are against the mandate as mr schaefer said this week there is strength in numbers we are asking the board to publicly fight for all of us and support choice when there is a clear division of views many people know me in the community from my dance studio in chino about the size of a small elementary school we do

not require masks have a gymnasium and eight dance rooms for over a year very low cold and flu numbers and no one hospitalized matter if they have the shot or not we touch sweat and exercise together with no issues strands of coronavirus have been around for a long time and will not be going away results like this is a reason not to

force something into our bodies with not enough years of testing independent studies is not an option for my son with an iep we have already done in the past homeschool and co-op and last year on zoom he didn't actually get grades his second trimester because he was unwilling to learn and could not comprehend through a screen public education isn't just math and

students and parents to not enforce this illegal and unconstitutional vaccine mandate on our children you must immediately order district council to begin court challenges against governor newsome's illegal vacs mandates i'll end with this if you fail to protect our children and deny parents their god-given right to make medical decisions for their children you will face a political reckoning i can assure

make another decision this is about the mandate to take it on our kids where the data is not available um you know like last year there's this thing i hope my and they should be we um trust the president uh and take his word and take a vaccine that might cause harm to us if and when the vaccine comes it's not

likely to go through all the tests that needs to be ended trials that are needed to be done let's just say there's a vaccine that is approved and even distributed before the election would you get it well i think that's going to be an issue for all of us when we finally do god willing get a vaccine who's going to

take the shot who's going to take the shot we will need to have access to the vaccine so um that's a long video but i was watching that last year and i'm like okay and now isn't it the same vaccine why the narrative change so quickly so i have to think up to myself do i take it

do you want my kids take it and so what is it i mean why is it so the rush that we all have to take it right now with other vaccine i mean the data is already there sorry 10 years 20 years 50 years you know this one just last year right so give us time to think

you know give us time to make the decision um my daughter has some allergies i mean thank god it's not severe but if she happened to take this vaccine force vaccine she has another allergy who's gonna be responsible who's gonna be with me to take care of my kids you know are you gonna be there personally to help me financially

when i have to take it i took off my job i mean i quit my job because my daughter had some condition and i had to take that a decision to take off my job if my daughter had another reaction and i'm gonna not able to provide financially are you going to be there to help me so give us time to think thank you

uh mother-in-law that has good she is 70 years old and she was vaccinated and what happened with her it just happened two weeks ago that she was in hospitalized and during the hospitalized she has a when she was admitted sirius has a normal blood pressure she has a normal uh no diabetic no uh numbers everything basically no no cholesterol

no i don't know what you call that yeah basically all the the vital cause is is good but what happened they found out is um there is a new reason blood clot everywhere they cannot find this even the doctors we do have 17 doctors in loma linda hospital seven team doctors with a total of over 26 doctors working on her case she is

hospitalized for 16 days the only thing that is come up in there is because of the vaccinations it's because of blood blood everywhere and there is no cholesterol and mix make known as if you are a doctor you know that her blood thinning it's always been always in the number three or under two and two between two and three and she's always

in two and a half but however at that time the black part is everywhere my point on this kind of things you may not experience that but people experience that but if you're willing to go through it it's okay and we are okay with it but the only thing problem that we have is you should not um mandate it to anyone

it is very important and your position is very important you are appointed by god to be in the positions that you have to protect your people i know your position is is great probably the financial is important for you but i think it's beyond that it is about about human life please consider that and also um there is more other things that is

happening that um the sisters early ons brought it up in regards into the the video and i don't know if we do have more time on on that but if we do let me show it to you what is happening even further i don't know i think i do not have the times in here but if you want it then i can just um

is daniel robles i'm coming twofold one as an educator and one as a parent i thank god every single day i wake up i have a wonderful wonderful place to work and that's the chino valley unified school district i've been at the school for 18 years and i love every single piece of it lord only knows what i may not have a

job in the future because it's my choice to get vaccinated or not and i love these kids i've poured my heart into these kids anywhere from the english learner that i taught for 10 years all the way to the athlete that coach football here all the way to the christian club that i i'm the in charge of that as well i have poured

a lot into these kids and i look at this non-discrimination statement that was put out by china valley unified school district that says the china valley unified school district desires to provide a safe school environment that allows all students equal access and opportunities in the district's academic extracurricular and other educational support programs services and activities and if you read it it talks about

religion which is a choice sexual orientation which is a choice gender identity which is a choice general expression we know that's a choice and also unvaccinated and vaccinated which is a choice and those kids and sometimes i see these kids i walk around and put in the mass like i'm going to do something like they feel they have to have it on or

something's going to happen to them outside and i pray for those kids that that god gives them the strength to not be afraid you know what i'm saying and then i come as an as a teacher i waited all this time for my son to be here he's a football player he's a he's on he's does a lot of stuff

here and he asked me dad if i don't get it i'm gonna have to be at school i said no we're gonna keep fighting the good fight good and faithful servant but we're to keep going and going until my decision is to vaccinate my son or not and i thank god that god has given me that desire and the obligation to protect my

son my daughter and the rest of these kids here at donald high school i have been a teacher and i love it i have great reviews from my peers from my assistant principal from my principal i've had immaculate reviews evaluations but i hope that not being vaccinated doesn't make me a bad teacher i hope it makes me a person they can see

i remember you what's up brother for playing with this mask um for y'all to know me my name is edward gonzalez uh i'm not only a parent my son's a senior who's missed like two weeks of school because he had a runny nose no fever you know what is it 10 days minimum unless you come with a pcr test and

again i'm going to bring up the pcr test because i know a lot of these people are here bringing up these different um facts and the cdc itself again says the pcr tests are faulty december 31st is going to be the date where they pull them all and i i bet you 100 bucks all of a sudden

you're going to start seeing the flu cases fly through the roof and the covet cases fall um you know i don't know any of you people here so it's nothing personal and i thank you though for those who um who were involved with the release time that were back in school i'm a teacher at glen mead i drive the bus i'm interacting

with the children so it's so awesome to see these kids uh it's so sad to see when you see some of these kids walking down from school and they're by themselves out in the open fresh air and they're out with their masks that what uh the representative was talking about the mental health service that's huge because you this whole thing

is gonna be very detrimental to these children um was it dr renfield last year was saying that more children were dying of suicide than actual kobe not just children but adults everybody um and i would just hope again it's just about free choice man i'm not here to say don't wear a mask wear a mask like i

told you before i'm a licensed contractor i had a double respirator which works with micron so those things wouldn't work against viruses they just don't okay but hey if you want to wear them that's fine that's fine that's your choice this is america likewise you want to get vaccinated go for it i know they they do the stats about uh the measles

and blah blah blah this is not cool last time when i know when i got it or when my kids got it and anybody got it we don't have ever have to worry about getting the measles or the mumps or anything because those vaccines worked okay and it's kind of interesting because we're talking a lot about money right

now um you know there's thousands of americans first responders uh doctors teachers nurses just the other day the the police department in seattle and the firefighters leaving their boots and their hats on the ground these people are ready to give everything give it all up okay and my question is i hope you guys are willing to give it up as well because if

you're going to have this cavalier attitude and just follow blindly band-aids well just be prepared because there's consequences and there's a group of parents out in clark county in nevada who set the example they just dashed out a 200 million lawsuit to all the board members remember you guys aren't doctors you may have a doctor but you're just a

that the governor has promised a great and ominous and nominal governor um but um but what i'm saying is a mandate is not a law a manager is an executive order so you could have another guy come in and take it so i would say if you want to make a back seat mandatory you know you know you know put a bill you know

make it a law you know let's do a vote let's do it that way the way we always do it in america because what it is is um you're talking about taking away somebody's rights without their okay you know remember this is a country that was founded on on freedom first amendment speech due process you know there's no due process

i mean we're going through the emotions here and you guys have the the power and the right to fight for us because you're elected and like everybody say if if you go against the wishes of the parents you're done you're done everybody here will will fight anybody that runs against you anybody you know and and and you know

he's gone uh but in reality uh reality uh there there's something yeah i i really wish it was here um there's something called the fortune amendment right another ratification of a conclusion right and it says no state shall make or enforce any law which uh shall abridge the bridges or immunities of the citizens of the united states nor shall any state deprive any

person of life liberty or property without due process right of law nor deny any person within the jurisdictions they cover the law so when you tell my kids that unless you get vaccinated by a you know a jabba they don't need kids are healthy they're young they're vibrant you know if you're trying to if you don't do this

you can't go to school anymore or you got to go to school somewhere else that's segregation that's racism you know so anybody here right anybody here that says that it's okay to tell my kid right that she can't go to school because she doesn't have a shot you're being a racist bottom line and i will say that so anybody that that

wants to take your job and say you're being a racist because this person would not fight for her right because we wanted to say no to a jab now if we wait years from now and maybe the jab is it's okay and everybody loves it yeah fine you know but it's new and there's effects and we're hearing news from

other countries that they're they're banning the the jobs right and right now in in europe they're already on the fourth jab there's a new virus called the new stream what's your next you know i mean come on we're on stream number four now so be careful don't do that because because uh the shaper i had i missed you

how devastating the lockdowns were for kids thankfully thankfully we've been back since march and it's been going well besides the stupid annoying mass mandates that are just ridiculous and the funny thing is the only people who have been getting sick at school have been the vaccinated teachers and they think they're invincible but whatever and if it comes down to it and

the teachers are mandated of course i'm gonna have to do it because i don't have the luxury to quit i don't have the luxury to not work however i will fight to the end for my kids it's my choice to vaccinate them i will not let my kids be test dummies and before anyone says again if you don't

like it homeschool your kids that is literally one of the most racist and discriminatory comments ever i teach in a very low income neighborhood and some of my parents are less educated than their children and they cannot homeschool so for them to have be forced to homeschool is ridiculous it is the most racist and elitist comment ever

said and i won't even point out who usually says it and i also want to point something out if you don't have a kid in our district you need to sit this one out because these are my kids if you don't have a kid that goes to school here just shut it because it's not your choice hold on i'm a little passionate okay

hold on um ah that race is coming just drives me absolutely nuts and you know darn well the politicians will get around it they won't vaccinate their kids they'll find a loophole it'll just be us peons that have to vaccinate our children the rules will only apply to us there are no danger for our children with kovid and i've already talked about that

that i don't live in chino i i i don't live in san bernardino county but i do go to calvary as of when the church is closed down so pastor jack kibbs encouraged us to come tonight and talk to you guys about some things so my thing is i want to share a little story with you i'm wearing this love shirt for a reason

um a few years ago my husband passed it was very sudden he was not sick so every year my children and i would go do certain things that he loved to do he liked chicken so we said let's go get some chicken so my daughter and i were staying outside on the sidewalk trying to get it but we were not wearing a mask

so they decided to not serve us but the sign says once you go inside the building we were not inside we were outside the building and then so i'm disappointed but finally we get our things a homeless lady comes right on after us and she has her little blue mask pulled down by the way i do have a degree in

healthcare administration and i worked in the hospital for over 14 years in icu and respiratory care and these things it's true um i think some people use it for a safety net or for fear or they just saying we're just going to go with the flow because it makes life easier and i give you know credit i guess for that i know some

people fearful but getting back to the story in regards to not being served there two days ago i went to san santa barbara and right away it was just a spur-of-the-moment trip i walk in the hotel to get myself a room i was thrown out because why i did not have a mask i refused to wear a mask in that particular lobby the

tendon did not have a mask either so i'm like okay so this is sort of like discrimination that's what i feel so another incidence where what happened where's as a store and the same thing the point i'm making is that this is not just about wearing a mask it's about controlling we got to do something to stand up for our children so that they

can grow up in a life that they're happy there pleased have joy in their hearts and do the things that they want to do rather want to travel or play sports or not be affected by a drug so i'm asking i'm imploring you guys to please pray pray tonight or whenever you before you make this decision orlando

is this something that you want me to do if not show me right now the next speaker is tina trudrick followed by mark cargile followed by eric hernandez trina tudrick good evening board my name is mike cargile i am the represent or the congressional candidate to congress for this area you guys are in my district i wasn't surprised to see mental health

as your number two issue because most of the policies of this board and this this uh county are responsible for those mental health issues we don't need more counselors we need to change how you do business i'm reminded of something my old pastor used to say he used to say if you knew what a doctor knows you

would be a doctor if you know what a lawyer knows you would be a lawyer when a child knows what an adult knows they're no longer a child you have robbed them of their childhood you have placed poisonous adult thoughts into their minds that are incapable of processing these adult thoughts you have destroyed them now the problem here is they are

incapable of processing this and your mandate as board members is to safeguard our children i had two children recently graduate from ayala high school your mandate is to safeguard their intelligence their emotions their psychology and their physical well-being and you have failed miserably on all fronts okay but here's the good news today is the first day of the rest of

your political life i urge you take this mandate place it in the forefront of your mind and every decision you make from this point going forward is only for the good it is only for the betterment and the safety of our children thank you eric hernandez [Applause] good evening board members my name is lee genvir resident of chino hills

taxpayer and i'm glad that some of my taxes are going to take care of some of these teachers that have gotten up here tonight and speaking about this in in my constitution classes over the years and i continue to go take them the president and the governor are not kings they do not get to do mandates these are edicts

they do not get to pass down edicts from up high they should pass bills through the senate and through the congress and through our state assembly in our state senate president biden talks about how he's getting a little frustrated and upset that things aren't moving along but he needs to be reminded that he needs to pass a bill or get a bill passed

as of the first month january 20th we had 250 000 people who died of covet and coveted related items since then we're up to seven hundred thousand so now since the vaccine is out we're up to four hundred and fifty thousand more deaths more than three quarters of the covet deaths in vermont are among the fully vaccinated for the month of september

whistleblowers now everybody made a big fuss when major vinman i think it was with the army came out as a whistleblower with the whistleblowers that are giving project veritas are giving us a lot of good information the cdc and the fdc won't admit it but 90 percent of covet pace hospitalizations are truly running at 90 percent of the fully vaccinated

there's a little town in ireland called waterford you might be familiar with their crystal work 97 99.7 percent of their fully vaccinated are seeing massive covet these people are following the law following the rules doing what the government says and when it comes to masks that is the young lady was correct the medical professionals wear in 95s

these blue masks are not n95s i used n95s in my business for asbestos and other things when stripping paint working on cars and the like those were easily available they're all tied up now for the medical professionals that our government is now willing to send to the curb because they won't get a vaccination so i ask you please keep this consideration

it is our duty as people of this earth to take care of the widows the orphans and the children please do not take an edict and make it a mandate for our children in the school system here thank you very much the next speaker is loretta krielman the next speaker is loretta creelman followed by christina also followed by

annie e okay i'm here to discuss a vaccination mandate on our children government can serve as an important leadership role but must take care not to restrict our freedoms in the process neither should the government undermine our parental rights under these emergency mandates the government has overreached to assume responsibilities of our bodies the governments contradicting edex permit unions to be exempt from these

mandates but who serves the voice and advocate of our children's behalf our children are not wards of the state yet objections to these government mandates would lead to limited access and participation in school into school itself and school activities the current cdc statistics confirm deaths ages 0-17 accounts for 0.1 percent of the population in california the vaccine is widely acceptable

available and free in the united states so those who choose to be vaccinated have exercised their rights to choose i'm here to to ask you to remember that equal liberties for those who choose not to be vaccinated it's a medical decision that is up to the individual to make it's no different than a person declining to take medication prescribed

by their doctor you assume the risk but it's your decision you are not denied liberties because of the decision so what happens to someone who has taken the vaccine severs an adverse reaction who's responsible current data indicates that the risk and benefit decision of our children related to the cova vaccine significantly are skewed to the risk side of the equation

if the government does not assume the responsibility then is his board willing to do so as school board members you are entrusted to protect the students in the school district you should be nurturing education not assuming expertise in health care and wellness if that were the case there would be more progress made in addressing mental illness in our teenagers

so i stand instead of being silent i hope these words do not fall on deaf ears and as far as a mandate on these masks i'm a nurse i was a nurse a retired nurse of 42 years these masks do no more than try to stop a bb with a chain-link fence this will not stop a virus

i have gone through the aids epidemic ebola and have not seen the restrictions that they have placed on such a stupid covet we have had covid for centuries this is covet 19 which means it was preceded by 18. so nothing has had the effect that they have on this this is all restrictions of our liberties next speaker is christina also

please do you want to finish i really didn't have much more i mean there's so much so many passionate so many passionate parents here um i like to say that i've lost some patients in the last six months so have my colleagues to covet getting the jab and all of a sudden a heart attack here and there just it's it's not a coincidence

um and it's going to happen more and more it's just a matter of time so um this is wonderful that we all get to uh speak our mind and and have the freedom to express our experiences and my boys have graduated already i'm doing this for my with the children of all my patients and all that i see all the parents here

and this is i'm doing this for you [Applause] not much more to say but i really hope that we're just open mind and our hearts are open to really hear what every person is expressing here as they come up here realize this i wanted to finish this is that once there's a damage to the heart cell and it's replaced with scar tissue

it's damaged forever and the same thing goes for all the other cells and what happens when this inflammation happens hyperinflation and blood clots keep occurring to the other organs then you got your liver your brain your kidney your reproductive organs it's just a matter of time it's going to consume the health of every child so um what we have to ask ourselves is

true to our beliefs no higher ups will tell us how to live this isn't what america is we fought against it the american the american revolution was what it was and we will fight at all costs to make sure it doesn't come back i'm only a kid so my voice doesn't matter but these parents here will fight for me

community for the last 30 years where our son and daughter have gone to school and as for my wife she just retired from the school district currently our daughter is an elementary school teacher in this district and i after a career in law enforcement have been a substitute teacher exclusively in this district for about the past five years

this community is very important to our family especially the children of this community i am here to state my opposition to any present or future mandate requiring all employees and students to receive covid19 gene therapy according to the cdc it is both those who have received and have not received this therapy who are able to both contract and transmit covid19

this therapy has not gone through the years of trial as compared to the time tested vaccines required for children to attend school included among our rights endowed by our creator are the freedoms to make personal choices about what goes into our own bodies as well as those of our own children for whom we are held held responsible and for whom we must give an

account to the lord jesus christ sorry i'm sorry i'm old school here therefore i am imploring each of you to faithfully and dutifully represent all members of this school district by opposing these mandates and thereby defending our medical freedoms personal health is not subject to any mandate this is the one and only right thing to do for such a time as this

beg you to oppose the governor's harsh vaccine mandate that is being forced upon our children i was born and raised in chino my roots were run deep here i attended cattle roads magnolia and chino high school i can honestly i can honestly say my years of going through cvusd have not only provided me with some of the best memories

but an incredible educational experience that has opened up so many doors and so many opportunities for me fast forward now i'm a husband i'm a second generation firefighter and most importantly i'm a father i once thought my son would attend at cvusd schools just like i did i envisioned him making the same memories on my old stomping grounds however if

this board votes tonight to strip parents of their rights over their over our children's medical decisions and force this vaccine mandate then the choice to send my son to another district that values parental rights is so easy as a parent it is my right to decide what is in the best medical interest of my son i'm not

anti-vaccine but i ask myself these questions in regards to any vaccine that my son should get number one does he even need it number two is it safe and number three does it even work as a protectors of our son's well-being my wife and i have the responsibility of gathering as much information as we can obtain professional advice

seeking god's guidance through prayer and then we choose we choose what we believe is the right decision for our son i will not allow the government or school district for that matter to careers threaten or push their political agenda upon my son it is clear to me that this is an attack on families which is in my opinion is is worse than the

actual virus itself so how could we ask god to bless our country our state or city if we don't if we don't start here right now i'm sorry god god have mercy on us for what is being opposed upon these innocent ones shame on me if i don't stand up for my for our freedoms while i still can i will not be able to look my

son and wife in their eyes and tell them as a spiritual leader of our home that i did everything i could to fight these mandates so i'm begging you please have the courage to post these relentless mandates and put medical freedom back into the hands of parents please stand with us and we will stand with all you

speakers tonight that kind of spoke for me so i appreciate all the the great notes that they set forth um it's kind of ridiculous that we're sitting here having this conversation about our kids it really is utterly unbelievable that we'd be in a conversation about the health and well-being of our children while the school board sits up there

denying its role in protecting the children because basically that's where we're at there's been a denial by this board to protect our children from an edict sorry from an edict by a governor who has no ability and no right to do what he did these unauthorized state of emergencies by the cdph from 15 days to flatten the curve to a

year and eight months later are based on what science we want to talk about mass in 2018 the cdc itself said these stupid little paper masks were useless for viral infections the cdc it takes a few minutes to google it everybody knows how to use google just try it once in a while so we talk about these these companies

pfizer moderna johnson and johnson pfizer's paid out the highest liability uh claim in in medical or in actually governmental history 2.8 billion dollars it paid for lying and deceiving its clients and it's information it was sharing about people or its results on on drugs you talk about the fda and how the fda is the guide to what we shouldn't should

be doing every year there's over 800 drugs administered by the fda that are then removed for faulty um efficacies for side effects for other other issues that they create 800 a year once again it's pretty easy to google if you'd like to so what i would ask is that when you're thinking about what actions you can take

it's not about what your board the school district it's about what you as an individual are choosing to do what's right for people what's right for children that's what you're the choice you have to make it's not about a job it's not about a salary it's not about your future as a as a board remember because trust me name

parent grandparent taxpayer probably i have served in this district as a release as a release time christian educator teacher for our elementary schools i have served numerous hours volunteering in the band program and in my kids classrooms and now i'm an employee i stand here today with my boots on the ground for like with like-minded co-workers parents

students and my grandkids my future i stand for my freedom to choose my religion my freedom to choose my career my freedom to choose whom i vote for and my freedom to choose my health for the last 18 months i have complied to wear a mask under the cdc guidelines not laws and last week i began compliance with testing

days before the testing i learned that employees are able to test outside of our sites with our primary doctors in no email from the doc from the district was that an option i was informed it was information i found on my own no need to give a third party my private information where is color labs located anyway

no need to have a test passed through several hands before i got my results and nothing to fear in chemical contents on a swab the district is receiving millions of dollars in the at the expense of taxpayers over this pandemic and this district the one i choose to enroll my children in the city i chose to pay taxes in

and the site i adore to work at day and night and sometimes weekends because that's my work ethic the job i absolutely love the retirement i have worked hard to receive the district that will flick me to the curb over a vaccine that results in many complications i will stand my ground faith over fear the next speaker is heather delorenzo

school that i went to as a family we worked very hard to get a home by their elementary school to ensure my children would attend here as well in addition i am a junk professor at mount sac so you can see my ties in our local community run deep however i'm completely appalled by how we as families are being represented or

should i say not represented by our school board after watching how our kids and schools have been handled since the start of covid i'm trying to figure out if you are spineless in your decisions for our children or if you driven by obligation pacify the cta who has long been in bed with newsom and his erroneous mandates as elected officials

you work for us and is your duty to stand for the best interests of our children treating our children as a science experiment is not in their best interest and is dangerous creating segregation in our schools by denying our kids the right to an in-person education if we don't treat them like a science experiment is willful abuse the

choice to vaccinate our children is our choice as parents and not anyone in the government the government does not belong in the decisions we as parents make for our children's health care you are all paid by us and you're all put in place to work for us something governed something gavin newsom also forgets the mandate to force vaccinate our children

of the united states that have forgotten that this country was founded on we the people not for the people the inconvenient truth is we have unvirtuous leaders who are abusing their power mandates of masks mandates of vaccines and we know it's all coming mandates for teachers who take care of our kids and that is unacceptable you see science can bring a sense of

laura kearns good evening my name is nicole vicario i'm a staff member in this district but before that i'm a parent in 2012 ab2109 started asking parents to sign a form acknowledging they were opting out of vaccines and understood the consequences of not in 2015 a simple form turned into look how many parents are opting out which

turned into 2015's sb 277 removing available non-medical exemptions for children sb 277 made the cdc childhood recommend recommended vaccine schedule mandatory for school entry meaning that any time a vaccine was added to the schedule as a recommendation this would become mandatory sp 276 retroactively changed the qualifications for medical exemptions removing severe side effects and contraindications that previously would

have qualified a child for a medical exemption created a standardized form that would require not just your doctor but a health department's approval require these forms be submitted to the state presumably for the data today we are setting the president for generations to come do you know that with absolute certainty that this won't affect your family in

some negative way in the future will you comply with every booster shot in order to stay fully vaccinated will your job and your child's education be at risk once you're sick and tired of complying is it just this shot how many more after this those of us that have been fighting for freedom understand that one day it may

you the weight of the decisions continuing to bombard you likely keeps you up at night as it does for us parents as well second i would like to give you a little info about me i'm a nurse experienced in many different areas 16 specialties to be exact including but not limited to vaccine clinics and infectious disease lastly the covet vaccine mandate as a

nurse i know this is not a school board issue this is a medical decision seeing as how our children are under the age of 18 this is a medical decision which should be reached between the student their parent and their doctor as to whether they think the cova vaccine is right for them if your child comes to me to get

vaccinated i do not seek consent from their school board to vaccinate them i seek consent from their parent or legal guardian the vaccine mandate is complete overreach by our governor putting you the school board in a very precarious position i'm not here to tell you or anyone else to get the vaccine or not as you have likely made that decision

for yourself already should you decide to require this vaccine for on-campus learning many parents will then be forced into giving this vaccine to their children medical and religious exemptions will still not allow children on campus not many people have the option to permanently homeschool or place their child in distance learning due to lack of supervision we're not asking for

anything more than the school board to stand behind us to maybe push the deadlines of when the vaccines are due and to ask for exemptions more than what they're already allowing i already spoke with mr schaefer about this at the roundtable meeting but i would like to propose the board coordinate a survey asking parents if they will continue to send their student

determined and passionate about our parents our parents and our teachers and the team that we built and they mentioned that they had such a great uh parent engagement and as i sit here i continue to talk and think about all the wonderful meetings that we've been held hosting with families that are interested in our dual language immersion

in meetings that we've been holding for our families that they would be working together with us and so we bring this petition to the chino valley unified school district with the hopes and that with the services that we would be able to provide to your families and to those that are still interested we are hosting meetings we are our parents

petition on behalf of the many parents and families who want to exhibit choice a choice for their children to have an outstanding education where children become the center focus of every decision that is made this school is a viable choice for parents because the school is formed by the chino community for the community led by successful educators from

that i know and i've asked and you know what they've said it's kind of a gray area i'm not really comfortable explaining because i don't really know it's too new well did you get taught about mandates in law school and ghani can probably agree no um not state well what about federal no this is all really really new we don't

these little stunts these little tactics instead of working with us it doesn't help the community it doesn't help our kids you want to talk about mental health yet we have how many social workers in our district you're getting millions of dollars we still only have what like two licensed therapists it's a joke you just want money money money money

by christina foley i speak as a graduate from howard cattle elementary magnolia junior high and ayala high school i'm a mother a follower of jesus christ and the licensed clinical social worker i come before you today to appeal to your reason and to the love i know you have for our children the 28 thousand students of gina value unified school

district let's start with some facts according to the american academy pediatrics children 17 years old and under have a 99.97 rate of survival without needing any hospitalization or leading to any deaths this is without the vaccine why mandate a vaccine that should be left for the parents to choose without being coerced or bullied into the fear that their

children will be discriminated against and not be allowed with their friends and have their education be negatively impacted another fact from the cdc.org the death toll of cobit 19 that's between 0 to 17 year olds is 542 while the death toll from the flu the regular flu between 0-17 is 486. that means children have died from the

flu every year for decades yet no one has forced children to be discriminated upon and not be allowed to attend school just because they didn't get the flu vaccine why mandate a coveted vaccine that has a very similar death rate as that of the flu for those 17 and under according to the vaccine adverse event reporting system per cdc between december 2020 and

september 2021 7 899 people have died from getting the covet vaccine also there's a small percentage of those who develop mycarditis and other more serious side effects it's only been around for less than a year it's one thing if i make the choice as a parent then i bear 100 responsibility for the risks that come with that choice but another thing for

this vaccine to be forced on my ch my two girls just so they can get the same opportunity for a good education like everybody else will you bear the burden of that responsibility should my kids and the 28 000 have the the .03 that can get that severe adverse impact that could die do you believe in god

because there is a coming antichrist who will use force and coercion or else limit people's ability to buy and sell coerced vaccine by force is bullying spirit of the antichrist i believe in the lord jesus christ where is your allegiance your decision to enforce this unlawful mandate that wrongly and justly discriminates will reveal that answer please pray about this and choose wisely

is going to be enrolled hopefully in the future should things work out however i this is my third event that i have attended this week in support of the anti-vax mandate i from huntington beach pier to the capitol valley unified school district meeting which um did end well but it got out 11 30. i'm pretty tired so forgive me

i teach my daughter that our bodies are amazing and designed to attack and heal within their toxins when the body they enter the body we've been taking our biting vitamins and eating healthy and enjoying our lives um let's see i'm sorry this this summer my daughter did get covered and after being exposed to camp prior to this she

had a very been very fearful of covid because of the indoctrination from the propaganda and teachers cramming these ridiculous protocols and fear into our children after having coveted she had a very little little symptoms and side effects and now understands what i have been telling her drugs and vaccines are not the same for everyone i have an

autoimmune disorder and i personally know more people who have died after the second shot or booster than have died from covid i'm not discrediting that people die and just saying i personally know more who have been affected by the shot than the virus what about my fears are they irrelevant can we not take this in into what if we we can't take this out of our

children if the children's are injected are you willing to and take on this risk and live with that i'm not i will stand for these children all of your children my child my child's future i am fearful for my daughter's future as she is a bright 16 year old junior cheerleader honor student and has a current gpa of 4.5 she has already

informed me that she will get the vax and take that risk so she can continue to enjoy the high school experience that she has been able to enjoy this last year being that has been robbed from her the last two this risk outrage the benefit are you willing to take that risk for our future for the short-term possible benefit of

compliance and your jobs with the governor that is way out of line and is clearly exhibiting government overreach please think ask yourselves why can you live with yourselves last night the capital unified school district approved an ascent of response to governor newsman to re rescind his request for the vax mandate on the basis that it will critically affect their

ability to provide quality education to all students in grades k-12 should that be required because many of the parents will pull their kids out of school there are many schools and co-ops being created now as we speak and these parents are serious and will remove it costs that district 500 thousand dollars on money for one day for these children

vote on in the future and uh apparently you might have discussed that in closed session from what i understand and so hopefully you've given some thought to the fact that we had voted on a 750 million dollar school bond in the past few years this is probably the most tax that i pay for this school board and i'm very

pleased what i see is the results i do think cvusd is a great school district i also think that this board does work very hard all five of you works very hard to care about our kids uh from the record i do believe that most residents who voted for this do believe that the mandates are necessary and they want their kids to be safe and

they understand that i believe they're all so afraid to be here but the parents here i mean your emotion and your passion tonight is i think well heard so it's very understandable let me point out that a few years ago this district uh entered into another lawsuit it cost this district hundreds of thousands of dollars it was a lawsuit

from the ffr if you might recall and in fact the people that helped bring that about are also on this board tonight we were promised money for this district to pay for the legal fees i don't believe they ever came tonight the parents here are saying they'll stand behind you if you oppose the mandate i wonder if the money will

ever come to help with that i would rather see this school board move forward and continue to meet the needs of the students now now an answer to the fact that the public comments were placed at the end of the agenda i think that was a good thing because if you'll note there was a lot of comments tonight and

so i think that's a good time you would not have had a chance to discuss item 2a and have that moved and have that special meeting put out if we had public comments in the beginning we would have never gotten through the regular agenda so congratulations to the board for making a wise decision to move the public comments to the end when you

sit it's your child and i think you should come to every board meeting it is essential now to come every board meeting now these are perilous times with regards to your children's education and health as your elected board member i want you to know your kids education and safety are my highest priority that belief will put your child behind

covid has taken away that focus putting fear in people's minds and has put health above education that belief will put your child behind by years and lessen opportunities in life forcing them to spend excess years to catch up i've spent a lot of research i spent a lot of research the facts on kovid and its effect on

your child and to in my amazement i would like to share those those those findings that i i found so let's look at these findings first slide not um can you blow it up well the survivor weight is 99.9995 that is the survivor rate and these are facts that are going to be presented i am waiting yeah

covet mandates versus student health the big lie exposed you know coven mandates such as social distancing masks and covet vaccinations have next to zero effect on keeping students from dying from covet it just it's completely a fact and that's the question we should be asking ourselves a lot of people are afraid let's go over the facts it's really important for us to know

let's go over the facts the u.s has 48 million students california has 6 million students the california percentage of total of students is 12.5 and what i did was i divided the 6 million divided by 40 million that's 2.5 the u.s population for 2020 was 330 million people the california population for 2020 was 39.6 million people california makes up 12.5 percent i

divided 39.6 divided by 330. so 12.5 of the total population you notice it mirrors both of them very close k through 12 us covent 19 deaths for the cdc for 2020 ages 5 through 14 67 ages 5 through 17 is 176. and we notice that the total cova deaths per cdc per the cdc is 243 now let's think about that number 243

243 throughout america okay that's 243 the total casey throughout k through sorry the total k through 12 covet death facts total covet k-12 deaths is 243. the total u.s students is 48 million the total california students is 6 million therefore california makes up 12 percent or 29 covet deaths or we could say 30 kovitz deaths so that's how many people that's how many k

through k through 12th died in our school district 30 copa deaths or 29 covadas yeah california in general yeah no it's not a school district i apologize folks this is the time for the board to communicate out thank you so california makes up 30 covet deaths all of california now ask yourself why was every school in california k

for example if a child will skateboarding at a particular part park he falls down cracks his head and he dies and then the doctor finds out that he's positive of a covid many times they would presume it had to do with covet so they would place him in the cova statistics and the reason why doctors would do that

would be because maybe he was weak and he fell down but that system is presuming that person died of covid so out of those 30 the definition states confirmed or presumed the underlying contributing cause of death a guess so we could also say that skateboarder did indeed was caused by an injury a statistics by injury so that is factual

or we can presume that he died because of the kobe that's what causes fall are they confirmed which is factual or are they presumed which is a guess or non-factual so you got 30 they have died throughout california and not all 30 is factual you have some that are presumed so and yeah and at the same time

what do we call this this is called stacking the data stacking data why well logic is fear because fear drives people in directions that you would never go you obey fear you wear your mask fear you take your shot so it could be a quarter it could be 50 percent presumed and let me tell this has nothing to do

about kids it does not affect kids but we're willing to give an experimental shot where myocarditis is greater than getting the covet infection getting the coveted infection remember there are only 30 deaths throughout california cd has stated there's never an exact number of influenza deaths for any year if the cd doesn't know the exact number then what is the truth what is the truth

did 243 people really died from covet in america or did 30 actually die of covet of california is based on facts there was only 243 estimated coveted deaths in k-12 in the u.s california had only 30 estimated deaths there are 6 million k-12 students in california through 12 covid dienods 0.00005 percent odds of dying from covid that is super super low

so real math that wasn't meant to be there i erased it it's not common core i remember that in the past so it's 0.005 odds of dying from kovid from covid okay 99.99 and the push and the push of vaccinating our children like we all heard their chart they want to vaccinate our five-year-olds but the focus should

not be on our children the focus should be people that are greater than 65 those are the ones that are dying those are the ones 80 but they are pushing so hard for our children oh that's it so my final thoughts i have some final thoughts i believe in the bottom line strategy up strategy when it comes to oh there it is there it

is my final thoughts so actually 99.99995 chance of living we should we have to fight this we have to fight this because it is much it's much more riskier for our kids to take the shot than just to get their respiratory infection it just it has to be the case it just has to be so my final thoughts i believe in the

bottom-up strategy when it comes to our children's education and health taxpayers parents children teachers administrators teacher unions and representatives are not for our child period far from that and we see we'll see examples what they're doing we'll see and you know i've been doing a lot of research on this i've been digging in real deep and deep

in my analysis just my conclusion is this there's so much malfeasance occurring that these folks are will not be able to walk down the streets of the so much of the suffering that they have done to people and this is important to tell you okay january 26 or july that's when they're going to implement the covet mandates

and that's when the security segregation will start you can't you can't think about november election you got to think now and you have to start now thinking about recalling because things are going to get worse you can't wait till july because that's when people are going to start getting fired and that's when you're going to be pressured so the recall has to start now

i think some of these board members have already decided how their decisions they made you can't wait till november you really can't you really have to start thinking about recalling getting real serious there's one good part i have some good news i believe it's good news that through this fabrication of mandates through this tyranny that we're going through and through the collapse

of this country in war we're going to have the greatest generation our children will be the greatest generation just like the world war ii veterans that they went through the influenza epidemic they went through the depression and they went through war some things are going to be so awesome you put pressure on people they change and they become better

they becoming no innovative new technology the bottom line is there's going to be a little suffering occurring this is going to be relentless so we have to be relentless too so we got to start recalling now because it's going to get harder later thank you [Applause] um i think it was a few years ago when i would turn on to radio station while i'm

driving i would always listen to this commercial it could be from a hospital but he said for whom your heart is beating this morning when i saw hundreds of our parents showed up tonight i knew whom for whom your heart was beating for it was for our children it's for our family it's about this california it's about

our community let me tell you about chino high school everybody knows chino high school is being rebuilt a brand new building and it's been a while back but i had a serious question about that school when people were concerned with water qualities on campus we used old 50s 40s uh pipe and there was a real concern with water poisoning actually

so my question to the staff was so why hasn't been updated and their answer was yes we have been doing that for last 10 years and i said at what cost and i believe it was like 30 million dollars but guess what it made it made any dent you fixed a little bit roof here a little paint here a little bathroom here

just went away i don't know was it for a subcontractor's pocket i don't know where he went the kids were still suffering for not having a modern school so we said how about just build a brand new school that's what we do with our cars when it breaks down if just little breaks or oils then we fix them but if you just hold

transmission and and engine goes bad at the same time it's better almost we buy a brand new car so people have agreed now we have a brand new school and i feel today that's what's happening with our sacramento it's broken in so many places whatever we put in whoever we sent to to to uh support our community or or

or or serve us the public it's not there and i know why it's not there people do change after they get elected and i have been sharing this top secret to many of my colleagues and especially young people because i want to really train them how to be a real public servant as you get elected okay i know you have run several times

on mr gallagher but yours hopefully still pure because you haven't got elected so far but this is what contamination takes place when once you get elected you would get a letters you get letters lots of letters even from people that you don't know and the difference is instead of saying mr so-and-so they put honorable with capital h

and guess who is it from probably some office secretary personnel somebody that you don't know or could be a college student having a part-time job this is honorable and you don't get just one or two letters you get like 30 40 50 letters so then guess what as you keep reading it flipping your envelopes you feel like you're somebody different

which you're not that was from a minimum wage a typist who typed you so suddenly when's your regular name mr so-and-so you almost like how dare and you don't want to uh open up that envelope it's toxic it's like addiction you think you're somebody special you know what i don't know you you still eat three times a day

and drink same water but they get tainted so i warn our youth the future leaders that who wants to hold an office to know who they are and never never sell yourself to this addiction and guess what when you sell your soul to that one typist rest of your life your life is ruined because you are not normal anymore

you want to command things you want to control people and you want to look down on people that is the biggest problem but guess what when i was talking some girls they were always talking about makeups and i didn't know the girls like makeups because my daughter doesn't really put so much makeups but whatever brand they put on

for how thick it is how many coats i don't know you cannot keep up for whole year it has come down so true comes out who you are to know somebody a true character give them a what money give them power and it will show up and that's truth who they are and that's where you're going to

teach your children how to be a decent human being so now let's go back to uh another story a few years back big electric company called edison wanted to come into our town yes you remember that remember that and so are other cities they were involved too and they put up electrical lines whatever they wanted to guess why

they were so big almost a giant but chino valley people were different than any others and today we had hundreds of people showed up we need you i want you each one of you to be responsible for 10 20 or 30 people of your family members your neighbors to campaign campaign for what have a common sense and speak out your

common sense for our children's sake and sake of our california and that's exactly what we have done when we found edison we came all together and we didn't stop we didn't stop for the house however this is our children who cares about the house when there's an earthquake hits it's going to go away but our children we can't do that our

grandkids we can't do that when as i said last meeting when i'm over 50 years old if i take the vaccine 50 50 chance i'll take it it's okay i lived my life i had good food sometimes very good memories sometimes not so but i lived my life i tasted many fruits i was like a lot of meats

okay vegetables everything so i'm okay but our little ones are little ones the side effects it's so detrimental they don't deserve that they don't i told kids at cvla you know what you guys are you said you're in trouble but it's okay because you are still more important than any of us put together even the hard working principle

and they said how do you come up with them mr not and i said let's say there's a swimming pool either me or your principal but one of you gets drowned and if i was there and all i could do is save person at a time i'll come to rescue you first because you're our baby this is how we do it with

our animals if we had a dog and a puppy drowning at the same time and if we have to grab onto first one it'll be a puppy it's a common sense but any of these people here in our school district or or people in education including this board if we don't have that in our heart they don't belong here

it's a fake it's your face but in order to have that spirit it takes practice everything whether you be a follower it takes practice to be a good follower if you're going to be a good leader it takes good practice to be a good leader but everything is about life lesson now my music is getting so long so i

gotta go into like quite important stuff today also um yeah recently in virginia once female student was assaulted or raped by a male student in the school bathroom who was allowed to enter into girl's bathroom so what is right with that or what is wrong with that it's a big problem we must protect our female students in our school district

by having biologically male students using boys bathroom locker rooms and shower facilities only everybody sees the problem but as one gentleman says when you do nothing nothing's going to happen nothing's going to change no dates will be changed for the meeting nothing so i will place policy revision as an information item in the next meeting and as an action item in the following

meeting to protect our female students i think i'm always a kind of crazy person somebody accuses mr cruz being crazy but i am more actually worse but this is a perfectly normal thing as a as a grown-up over 18 years even i talk to the kids at cvla they don't want opposite boys into their sister's bathroom or shower in locker room

i don't care who says it's okay i really don't care who says it's okay it's wrong it hurts our girls so i'm gonna do that and matter of fact um many of our parents had shared that fear with me after hearing that news and so it's really there for me and i'll make sure that it'll be on

information item and over in action um yes it's this is another battle we're not taking the law mandates if we would have to just do that i would like to have elite times on the wall and our staff just read and follow what they said from l.a times but we're people and people matters in our children matters so we need to do everything to

protect our kids whether this whole country says no it doesn't matter we need to protect our children it's a decency now i had a fun time in a one calculus classroom it's amazing the teacher i think mr schulz at ayala he invited me to uh come watch calculus class and i said well i had to be polite because you i

knew everybody loved him but the funny thing was the students were in a line and they couldn't get into classroom right away and i said oh what's going on um actually he had a good plan he had two students standing up and he had a cards memorization cards for different formulas so kids were have to at least know one

new formulation then they were able to enter into the classroom so actually every single student whole was able to learn something every morning i said wow this was smart and then when he was asking questions he said oh so and so are you ready he says no i think i can't get this uh a question and his answer was

just say it pretend pretend you know the answer he said but but it doesn't matter so he threw out something of course it was a wrong answer but then we had other students jump in oh this is a how i did it this is my answer so there was collaboration taking that classroom and everybody was smiling and having fun

because they were learning not in competition way but learning together so i thought that was really great really great and lastly this time the cvla students oh they had so much talents it's unbelievable there was actually a student who wanted to become a doctor even though he was in trouble he wanted to become a doctor and i said oh that's

good i mean you're still young if you have done that same thing what you have done in your 20s or 30s guess what you're in big trouble huh yes but now you're still young you could fall and get up and move on so we had a student who wanted to become a doctor and another student who wanted

to become an uh olympic a swimmer and one cpa and a hair stylist just so many talents at cvla so i really had a great time being with those kids and also each one of you and all of us we used to be a child one day in the past and remember things that that we had cherished

make it even stronger in your family uh the things that we didn't like as a child don't let that happen in your family so that's my comments for tonight thank you just very quickly since we're on don lugo's campus i wanted to highlight one event tomorrow night don lugos ffa uh future farmers of america fall festival is tomorrow night

over on the other side of campus on the roswell side located at their farm it uh is from four o'clock to nine pm tomorrow evening october 22nd uh they're going to have games of pumpkin patch and food and the good thing is if you're 12 and over it's only five dollars to get in and kids 11 and under are free

they state it's family friendly so compared to some of the other uh areas around town that are having similar things it seems like a very good deal the fact that it's on this campus and i've always liked supporting don lugo having been on this campus for eight years myself before going over to the yala i want to support everything i can so

hopefully you'll be able to make it or let somebody know that it is available tomorrow night that's it thank you mrs gagne i would say good evening but that would be a greeting so thank you for hanging in there and attending this evening i also want to comment i think many of our student speakers have already left

but i want to thank them for coming in i always comment on this but it's very intimidating for anybody to speak in front of a crowd and i'm always proud of our students who come in and voice their opinions i have a couple of announcements one is that the chino valley chamber is actually having a live pitch competition

at the shops in chino hills on november 6th it's in conjunction with an entrepreneur fair for students in kindergarten through sixth grade so they'll be both set up with budding entrepreneurs who are going to be pitching their businesses from booths and then we as a chamber are sponsoring an event for 7th through 12th graders we have seven different teams competing for

grants to help their business ideas so i would encourage you to attend and become involved last year we did this virtually it was really successful and our students got some great mentorship opportunities the chamber is also hosting a job fair for any job seekers at chafee college this coming wednesday afternoon on october 27th a variety of local employers will

be there and so if you know anybody and search for a job it's a great opportunity finally our student board member still there all right esther had contacted me a couple weeks ago apparently the san bernardino the oversight for county schools is considering a student position on the board to allow a student to represent the san bernardino county schools to the

county board and i just want to express my support of that initiative i know that she had brought that to my attention but i think a student voice is very important and so i'm happy to throw my support behind that and if this board would be willing to do so i think we should issue a resolution of support for that student

board member position and with that i thank everyone for coming this dr evening yeah i just had uh one comment tonight that the board i know you took action to suspend the approval of the sr-3 plan just to walk the board through a timeline that you would probably need to follow if you want to approve a plan and

submit it to the state by friday october 29th so you have a board meeting scheduled for tuesday october 26 and at that meeting i know you would receive input and then the board would need to provide directions on what changes you would like to make to that plan then the following day would give my staff time that one day on the 27th

wednesday the 27th to write that plan and then on thursday the 28th we would need to hold another board meeting because the board does need to approve that plan and then if it was approved then on thursday then we would be able to submit it to the board and to the state by friday on the 29th so i think they'll
