which requires public disclosure leading the pledge allegiance tonight is Crystal Barrett thanks Sonia um please rise all right here we go right hand of your heart ready begin stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty is justice for all thank you Crystal we are we are now at the staff report tonight's report is presented by good evening president Shaw

board superintendent Enfield and cabinet and Community tonight we are presenting on the local control and accountability plan or lcap for short annual update part one the presentation includes the achieved annual measurable outcomes for the district's El Cap goals one three and four and progress on the implementation of the State academic standards next month we will present on

goal 2. utilizing measurable objectives built around an identifiable metric the district currently monitors a progress of its four lcap goals these District goals are tied specifically to one or more of the required eight State priorities the district goals are one all students are provided a high quality teaching and learning environment two students parents families and staff are connected

and engaged to their school to ensure Student Success three all students are prepared for College and Career beyond graduation four targeted assistance students at schools targeted for assistance are prepared for College and Career beyond graduation through a clear and clear system of support at least one state excuse me the eight State priorities include one basic service Services two implementation of

State academic standards three parental involvement four student achievement five student engagement six School climate seven course access and eight other student outcomes as measured by attendance and graduation rates now I'd like to introduce Dr Stacy Ayers our director of access inequity good evening in our annual update this evening is it it is our intent to provide you with the progress of the

metrics associated with our lcap for each of the goals all of the local metrics are reported as met not met or not met for two years for goal one the following metrics that are on the slide are reported in our lcap the first goal of all students are provided a high quality teaching and learning environment are here with the

metrics the first box is reporting the number of Miss assignments in our district we have met this criteria because we have zero misassignments for teachers that are placed in our classrooms for teaching positions as well as El authorizations and as of October the data reported that we had two vacancies at that time the next metric is related to facilities

with good or higher rating we have met this indicator as well we use the facilities inspection tool or the fit report and on those reports one hundred percent of our schools fall into the good or higher ranking the next metric is also met related to standards aligned materials through our Williams visits we have Williams confirmation that all of our textbooks

meet the standards for our Williams compliance the next indicator is in progress related to our technology refresh it is our goal that all teachers and students will have devices that are less than four years old currently our ninth grade our ninth grade refresh is being processed the next metric is also in progress related to the instructional technology

survey this will be administered in April the next metric is related to our essential standards assessments this is also still in progress for this school year we have completed the essays number one and number two and SN number three is currently in process of being administered the next metric is also met this is related to enrollment in a broad course

of study we can report that 100 percent of our students enrolled in ktk through 12 courses have access to a broad course of study the last metric is going to be introduced by Mr Luke Hackney director of Elementary curriculum who will explain the results for the implementation of State academic standards State academic standards tied to State priority 2 describe what students should

know and be able to do in each subject in each grade the implementation of the state standards is evaluated using the state adopted reflection tool with the district's self-report on the five criteria listed on the screen professional development instructional materials policy and program support implementation of state standards and engagement of school leadership we have met our goal for State priority

two for each of the five criteria we will provide you with the district's evaluation reflecting on a scale of one at exploration and research to five full implementation and sustainability the first area is our evaluation of providing professional development on the state adopted standards we are at a level five full implementation and sustainability with English language arts English language development and

math for Next Generation science standards and history social science we are at a level four full implementation and we will continue to work toward full sustainability the second area is in providing instructional materials that are aligned to the standards and curriculum Frameworks English language arts ELD and math we are at full implementation and sustainability level five with ngss we are at a level four as this

is the first year of new K-12 science curriculum adoption with history social science we are at a level three the third area of evaluation refers to the policies and programs that we have in place to support our continuous cycle of improvement in delivering instruction in our district our systematic approach includes built-in time for our teachers to participate in professional learning

communities district-wide Collaborative Learning rounds where we have an opportunity to reflect on our progress of implementing instructional priorities and coaching opportunities for all of our staff we are at a level five full implementation and sustainability in all of these content areas the next area of evaluation is implementation of state standards in all our classrooms triangulating the results from our

teachers report on their self-efficacy of implementing standards site Administration and feedback from the ciis team we are at a level five full implementation and sustainability for English language arts ELD and math and she assessments history social science we are at a level four full implementation Career Technical education we are at a level five full implementation and sustainability and health education

physical education Visual and Performing Arts and World languages we are at a level four full implementation in the final area of engaging teachers and administrators we are at a level five in all areas which include identifying professional learning needs for teachers as a whole identifying individual teacher needs and providing support for teachers on the standards they have not yet mastered

at this time I will turn it over to Dr Julian Rodriguez director of secondary curriculum and instruction goal three is that all students are prepared for College and Career beyond graduation we use metrics in these areas to measure our progress towards meeting this goal in two of the areas the reporting is for current status only which is an indication on a scale from

very low one bar to very high five bars in the area of summative assessments our status is high for English language arts and medium for mathematics in the English learner progress metric our students scored high as it relates to their overall growth on our lpac which is the summative assessment for our English learners for 2022 the College and Career measure

what we still collect and analyze that data locally this measure is not being reported by the state at this time however we anticipate it returning in 2024. and for goal four this goal states that students of schools targeted for assistance are prepared for College and Career beyond graduation through a clear system of support Buena Vista and boys

republic are included in this goal based on dashboard data prior to the pandemic they qualified for this goal because the performance color of every state indicator in the school was lower than the district's color back in 2018 and 2019. at least one state indicator was also in red or orange in both 2018 and 2019 for these two schools

currently the most recent dashboard colors were not reported as Dr Rodriguez mentioned instead we have the bars that you see that you saw up on the screen but status is reported for these schools the graduation rate is measured as very low for boys republic and the graduation rate for Buena Vista is measured as high thank you for your time this completes

our annual update to the Board of Education thank you does anybody have any questions or comments Mr Bridge first thank you for this report and I'm I'm pleased to see the the results that we're getting the one thing that caught my eye and wanted to reflect on was that we have zero percent uh teaching Miss assignments and zero percent uh English

learner Miss assignments and only two vacancies and I I think that that's reflective of the hard work that our human resources department is because when this all first came in and they were talking about teachers that had misassignments for us to be at that at this stage now I'm really pleased to see that and and also the other other

results the foreign fires were terrific so thank you for all the work and thank you for all the hard work that our teachers and staff are doing in the district it really shows in this report thank you are there any more questions or comments Mr Cruz yeah you know Dr Enfield this this also aligns with our scores our Ela and our

math scores and it just shows the community that we're all part of this investment in our children so I mean we're doing really well so good job thank you Mr Cruz Mr Noth yeah I have a comment on um a section where all students are prepared for College and Career Beyond graduations I like to make sure that we

have up-to-date information for our kids about our changing ever-changing uh global economy or are even National economy and uh our future the busynesses are changing the manufacturing sector is changing and our service is changing as well so I'm not sure if we could keep all traditional method of careers and in college training that would be still relevant in next five years and 10 years

and I think we must have abreast of the new changes coming and give that information to to our children so that they'll be well prepared instead of going back and forth or changing Majors when they were their college Years nowadays you hear a lot of students hey being becoming super seniors and super super seniors that means they're not

graduating in four years it's a fifth and six years because they have taken wrong career or Pathways in the beginning so let's help our children's and our parents out thank you definitely for preparing this and all the hard work that went into this thank you remarkable they know our Ada tend to be lower than than other school

districts and yet we achieve you know this school district Community really achieve we have a good Ada oh we do yeah okay I mean it's gone down the last couple of years because of the covet but typically we have a really good Ada okay thank you thank you we're now into comments from our student representative Mrs King

good evening board president Shaw members of the board and distinguished guests last week CVUSD held its 43rd annual Student Government day at Chino high school student government day is a day to give our students a chance to see more into their local governments and School District it includes shadowing a range of positions from principals to superintendent and mayors of Chino and

Chino Hills to be selected you must be a senior taking government at any of our district high schools including Ayala boys republic Buena Vista Chino Chino Hills and Don Lugo I'd like to thank all staff and students who participated as it means so much to everybody ITA again mentioned my classmate Melissa from Chino High School I mentioned her

at the previous meeting She was recently diagnosed with leukemia I mentioned having QR codes and links to donate to her and we now have those up we also have T-shirts that we are selling they are 15 each if you guys like to purchase all the QR codes and links are on our Chino High Instagram account it's Chino

HS Cowboys if you're not able to donate a person's shirt um I would appreciate everyone could at least share or just keep Melissa in your thoughts please uh seniors across our districts we are almost at the end and I want to wish everyone luck in the coming months especially this month as calls College admissions come out for a lot of schools

congratulations to all seniors for making a this far whether you know your points after high school or not it's a big accomplishment just to make it here uh have a great night and everyone enjoy your weekend thank you Miss King next next up are comments from employee Representatives Brenda Walker Act good evening president Shaw school board members superintendent and field

District cabinet and members of the Chino Valley Community and guests I'd like to first thank president Shaw and Vice President Monroe for having meetings with me recently I appreciate you taking the time to discuss how things are going and how you can support our teachers counselors psychologists nurses and speech pathologists I look forward to our ongoing talks and

our association will continue to reach out to all board members the other thing I wanted to talk about are all the exciting events happening around the district recently it takes collaboration between administrators classified staff and Educators to plan and execute these events to make meaningful experiences for our students and our families just a couple of days ago was the Festival of art show at

Magnolia Junior High where student work was showcased I'd like to give a special shout out to our secondary art teachers and Elementary teachers who not only get to work with talented students um student artists every day but they transported and set up the artwork at the event for everyone to enjoy and an extra special thank you to Karina

Andrade who's an art teacher at Magnolia Junior High she shared with me how it all comes together and I just could hear the passion in her voice when she was speaking about the event and her students so to miss Andrade your students are very lucky to have you and today was a read across America Educators make this a fun event for

students they dress up they have guest speakers guest readers and they make a wide range of books available for students to get lost in thank you to our teachers Librarians library media assistants for sharing the importance of reading with the school community I hope you are all able to experience at least one if not all of these events

around the district we have an amazing staff that go beyond every single day and that's all I have for tonight thank you very much good evening thank you you too we have Danny Hernandez from CSEA or representative and we have Barbara Bearden from champ good evening president Shaw school board members Dr Enfield cabinet and Chino Valley Community

I would like to welcome our new secondary curriculum coordinator Brian alaregi to cvsd I am sure Dr Rodriguez is excited to have him join his team last night I attended the cvsd Festival of the Arts celebration I had several families comment how much they appreciate our districts celebrating their children's talents thank you Dr Dr Rodriguez and team for organizing the

event for our students I'd also like to thank all the teachers Who provided Art Product products as well as volunteers who took the time to set up each school's display it takes a lot of coordination and our community loved it one week from today we have our next champ meeting at 4 45 PM champ members please keep an eye out for a reminder we

will finalize a slate for the 23-25 champ board so if you are ready to take your leadership to the next level Miss Chase sorry be sure to attend the next meeting I will say I've learned so much serving as a president it is an incredible experience thank you for your time and have a wonderful weekend thank you so much

board policy 1312.1 outlines the procedure for anyone who wishes to file a complaint against a district employee the first speaker is Gordon Kessler followed by Adrian Chase followed by Malia Kessler good evening and hello I'm Gordon Kessler I attend Chino high school as a junior and I have a younger sister next to me who will be a freshman next year

I'm one of four drum majors in the Chino High School band The 77th Cavalry I and these three other students are responsible for keeping the band organized ready and informed along with other duties in fact I have to leave this meeting early so I can be time for on time for our jazz band practice tonight this most recent fall our field show

performance got us to championships which we won the gold medal at including last year all this was done through our own funding which we pay for at the start of the Year thousand dollars per student this cost covers food shirts uniforms busing paying instructors and much more this most recent year we've started to have financial troubles from the way things

look we might not have a competitive season next year what have you as a school board done to support us we get ten thousand dollars at the start of the year for buses which covers about the first three competitions all the other ten or more are funded by our own money which is running short what's your budget for other extracurricular

activities busing unlimited there is no budget when we try to go with the cheerleaders on a bus to the CIF game for the pep band the bus driver stopped us and would not let us in for at least 10 minutes we said we were the pep band going with the cheerleaders because they don't have to pay for busing why are you

supporting all other physical activities except marching band Mr Cruz you mentioned earlier about investing in our students why not invest in music we may have we may not have competitions next year I want my sister here to be able to experience that next year I want future students to experience how amazing music is music is where words

and notes come to life where you learn to make Beauty around you music elevates the brain and makes you think recent Studies have proven that music students receive an average of 98 points higher on SAT scores additionally College music students have fewer problems with alcohol are emotionally healthier and concentrate better than their non-musical counterparts I urge you to

support music thank you thank you Adrian Chase [Applause] good evening president Shaw board Dr Enfield cabinet I am Adrian chase the very proud principal at Glen Mead Elementary School as many of you know my sixth graders attended science camp and thousand Pine Science school last week in Crestline and our adventure was a little different from what we had

originally planned we loaded up the buses and headed up for Camp under a clear Sunny sky on Tuesday Morning prepared for some snow our students woke up to snow on Wednesday and were excited at the opportunities it brought however the forecast seemed to be changing so we made the decision to try and bring the students home on Thursday but after

hours at the bottom of the mountain our drivers were turned away on Friday morning the drivers were back at the base of the mountain waiting for clearance from Caltrans and CHP I met with my parents on Zoom Friday at 11 30 a.m to discuss everything while the plan was to bring them home by Friday evening if possible I also let them know that

their students might be there until Sunday since the forecast on Saturday was heavy snow all day however we remained in contact with Caltrans and CHP so we were ready to bring them home if it became safe that afternoon the buses were permitted passage up the mountain but not able to get all the way to the camp through the efforts of the

Camp staff and our transportation director in communication with Caltrans and CHP a plan was developed to Caravan our students and to and staff safely to the buses and home to their families throughout this process I was able to communicate with teachers Transportation District administration a board member and our families all students and teachers were safely home by 7 pm on

Friday as you may have seen hundreds of students from other districts were snowed in and did not arrive home until Monday evening we are hoping that the camp will be accessible early next week so CVUSD drivers and our sixth grade teachers can bring back all luggage belonging in vehicles however Crestline is now under a state of emergency and

the community my parents resided in for a while is experiencing the most Devastation they've seen in history please keep them in your thoughts and prayers tonight I am here to thank the individuals who made all of this possible I knew our students were safe in their hands and I am so proud to have them as part of our glenmead community

first our sixth grade Camp families for their communication flexibility support and understanding throughout this process Dr Enfield Mrs fellows Mr Hackney Mr Monroe and everyone in the district who reached out to me to support us and our plan to bring everyone home my office staff Kileen Vayas Cindy Davis Alexander lozama and Francis Ramos for helping me field the

many phone calls from families that were coming in all day Friday Mrs Devoe for ensuring Thursday and Friday ran smoothly on campus while I was working on bringing our sixth graders home and Miss Baker for coming back on Friday evening to assist me with the arrival of our students Bill Carey our director of transportation for his magnificent

efforts and dedication to the safety of our students he communicated with me District staff Nathan Godwin from the camp CHP Caltrans and our drivers to ensure everyone came home safely Gonzalez and Jose Castro the CVUSD bus drivers who started their journey early on Friday morning and brought our students home Friday night they are both heroes in my book my roadrunners for

their bravery through all of this homesickness is a natural part of Camp even in the best weather so that was to be expected however despite the snow they participated in activities listened to Camp staff positively interacted with their teachers and peers and made the most of an unexpected adventure and finally Mrs Layla cormack and Mrs Sarah wike my fantastic sixth grade teachers

they cared for our students as if they were their own making sure that they were safe and having fun despite not being the exact experience they thought they would have thank you thank you Malia Kessler followed by arminda Gonzalez followed by Michael Gonzalez hi I'm Malia Kessler I have kids at Rhodes Magnolia and Chino High I volunteered at all three schools for

many years including the last four years as Magnolia music boosters treasurer I'm here today like my son to bring your attention to an undersupported group of students in our district which is the music students Chino Valley loves its Sports and the school district supports them well as they should participating in sports and music groups builds character traits such as teamwork

discipline and hard work and they give students a sense of belonging which improves Mental Health but music students get the added benefit of improvements in brain connection and test scores music connects both halves of the brain the American Psychological Association published a study showing that quote high schoolers who take music courses score significantly better on exams in math and science than their

non-musical peers end of quote these kids are literally getting smarter marching band students have to pass sports physicals just like all the athletes the band supports all the other sports but is not supported by our district the same way as the other sports pep band plays at football games basketball games pep rallies parades cheering on the other students Chino's

band even saved the day at the CIF District Championship girls basketball game last week when they played the national anthem in a pinch they all had it memorized we're ready to go and represented their school and District extremely well and this was after almost being denied a bus ride so why is it that you are barely funding

them with school district money why is it that you don't provide a dedicated School District employee for music education why is it that pretty much the only free bus rides they get is to go play for another sport even though the Chino High School marching band has won more Awards and championships than virtually any sport in this District not

only did they make it to the equivalent of the state tournament last November they scored higher than any other band in the state of California for the fast past few decades the parents have been funding the marching bands and color guards not the school district the parents pay for almost all the bus fares for marching band competitions and spring

concert festivals the parents pay for all assistant coaches the parents pay for guard uniforms and props can you imagine the outcry you would get from basketball or football teams if you ask their parents to pay for all of their away game buses and assistant coaches music programs in the district earn severe financial crisis and they need more support please re-evaluate your

supportive music in our schools and the marching band and color guard in particular our kids need your advocacy thank you thank you arminda Gonzalez followed by Michael Gonzalez followed by Kelsey Robertson good evening Bond members my name is Gonzalez I'm a parent of two one senior attending Chino high school and another graduate in 2021. I'm a part of the ilak

with Miss Carol Swift BT AF a school side console PK cave and pfln and CEI with Miss Ibis Cordero representing our district along with 20 plus other districts I'm a part of the six recipients for the Chino unified street that have been selected to receive one award at the annual multi-lingual recognition on April 28th music has inspired my kids

since fifth grade my older Shire was really from 4th grade to eighth grade his scarf for life is stolen his self-esteem Ben was his shelter place to be with friends and be safe saved music make students grow mentally teach them discipline leadership and make them shine and this program kids with mental health low self-esteem disabilities language barrier

find a family in their all look for each other when they perform or compete they all feel validated and their life change please keep finding Music Arts for those students cannot feel cannot feel like belong in sports or clubs but found home in music some kids are always on the top 10 with the high GPA I'm a band parent that helps full-time

in the school in anything and everything especially when it comes to fundraise for our band but unfortunately we always struggle financially if you can help us pay for buses and other things for our field trips will be helpful tremendously suicide is the second highest rate in debt mental illness is highest in our youth therapists recommend breathing exercises physical exercises stretch

exercises cardiovascular exercises and being in counter and socialize with others most of all in most of all music is therapy all this is including band please do not let financially struggles disappear this program thank you thank you Michael Gonzalez called by Kelsey Robertson followed by Darlene Berg good evening my name is Michael Gonzalez I'm the president of the Chino music

boosters and I'm basically here to follow up a little bit on a previous appearance I had before the board and also to make Miss Shaw and Mr Monroe aware of a situation happened in 2021 when the new school was built the Chino band boosters in the year 2000 built a steel building and Mr structura knows all about that we've corresponded with

it so basically I'm here just a follow-up basically on that uh previous meeting we we had a steel building that the uh the district approved our organization paid for 50 percent of that building and all of the labor in 2000 and when the new school was built we were told that that building had to be dismantled but

we would be giving something equivalent to that that building and I know that uh the school at Chino high is getting close to being done and I know that there's plans to refurbish the old girls locker room but the problem we have at hand right now is that the fact that we don't have anywhere to put our trailers

we had been putting our trailers parking them in the district a lot for the past four years and that was done begrudgingly and we were given a code and then um later this earlier this year we were told to our you know they were no longer would be able to put our our trailers there and the trailer The Districts was actually

moved the trailers into the Chino facility and parked him at the school and left him there and in the process I have pictures they damaged our trailers so again we don't have money to fix things like this and we had to we had to come up with money to fix the trailers we had to find someone who could

dedicate or donate their time to fix them as well so they got fixed but on top of that our semi-trailer which had been which has been a stored at an off-site facility in Ontario but again somebody allowing us to park our trailer for free that facility was sold and now we have a little place to put our our semi trailer

so right now it's sitting in Orange County at XPO Logistics they were nice enough to store our trailer behind a secure area for the for the past several weeks but now we don't have anywhere to put that so we're right now our two smaller trailers on the school unprotected out in the elements and we had a steel facility to park our to park

our trailers in the past and was taken away from us so you know I'm here again to remind the board that we were promised you know a secure covered facility and I like to know basically what the board's plan is is for that because again we don't we don't have the money to fix it for uh we don't have

money to fix it when you know when things break down and I really wanted to follow up with that thank you thank you Kelsey Robertson followed by Darlene Berg followed by Samuel love hi I wanted to share two definitions I feel are really important for this board to learn and hopefully abide by given what I've heard in past meetings first

definition of hate speech abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses Prejudice on the basis of ethnicity religion sexual orientation or similar grounds the difference between hate speech and Free Speech we are free to express ourselves even to the extent that our opinion May offend shock or disturb others but not everything is acceptable as free speech the moment

people start publicly inciting to violence hostility or discrimination against a group of persons then this is hate speech I'm going to say that louder for the people in the back the moment people start publicly discriminating against a group of people then this is hate speech not free speech many meetings I've been to there's been some kind of vocal discrimination against the

children in this District I've also been here when numerous students have brought to your attention to hostility and heckling from people in this very room at these very meetings hostility by grown adults towards children in this school district because I only have three minutes I can't share all the things some current board members have said to this room that have been hostile

and completely discriminatory but there's plenty of YouTube videos of this including multiple times where the current president refers to lgbtq plus students and their path in this District as disgusting and this grossness I am so sick of seeing adults in powerful positions blatantly pass off hate speech as a concern or an opinion when it's none of that it's discrimination you

continue to to discriminate against a very specific group of students and that's disgusting if school board members cannot make a commitment to create safe spaces for all of our students why are you here to create more divide more discrimination to leave more kids Behind having adults that react from such a place of close-mindedness and who refuse to learn the real

statistics around our youth will continue to put our children in danger attempting to literally shut out an entire group of children at school as school board members is absolute hypocrisy you are telling these kids they're not worth it as a mom of six kids and as the daughter of gay parents I have been fighting anti-lgbtq plus groups for 25 years and the one thing I

can guarantee you are on the wrong side of history in another 25 years and people play back your YouTube videos your anti-lgbtq rhetoric and comments I hope you remember this moment in time when I promised you you're on the wrong side of History we will absolutely continue to hold you accountable because our kids deserve it if you're a student

or parent or anyone listening that has been belittled felt targeted by this group felt absolutely heartbroken hearing such hateful adults speak in this room I hope you can hear this you are important you are so worth it you are brave you deserve to be here and there are even more adults that want to keep you safe and create paths for you

through this school that will help you grow and learn in the most beautiful way we have your back we will always have your back keep living your life Just the Way You Are thank you Darlene Berg followed by Samuel love followed by Sandra Sue bright good evening um I second what Kelsey said but I'm up here tonight to talk about some some

comments that a woman named Misty made on February 2nd at the meeting about being so bothered and bombarded in society and in the schools by lgbtq plus rights versus children with disabilities I'm not very familiar with how the special education program runs in Chino Valley but I do have friends with children in this district and others that are involved in the special

education program and have Aids in the classroom I also work with people of all ages who have disabilities of varying degrees ranging from traumatic brain injury congenital disabilities to those they've acquired later in life I would never pretend to know what it is like to have a child with any type of disability nor would I ever try to tear

down a community of people I absolutely agree with Misty that children with disabilities need to feel represented their families need to feel represented and supported I absolutely disagree with Misty that tearing down children who a part of the lgbtq plus Community is a way to get what she wants for children with disabilities what I hope that everyone can understand

is that our school board members took an oath to represent and support all children in this school district equally this includes children with disabilities children who are part of the lgbtq plus Community children who are black white asian and Indian Christian Jewish Mormon Muslim music students you name it all children I'm here as a mom biologically connected

and otherwise and as a person who cares about life and the bettering of it in all ways I stand in support of equality for all children and may they feel supported in this District Always by parents teachers staff and of course you guys the school board thank you thank you Samuel love followed by Sandra do bright followed by Richard Wales

good evening superintendent and board members thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts this is a follow-up to the comments I presented to the board in September 2021. the LA Unified School District's secondary history social science branch States the following quote ethnic studies courses operates from the consideration that race and racism have been and continue to be profoundly

powerful social and cultural forces in American society end quote this objective truth remains a contentious talking point since the approval left the ethnic studies model curriculum and all its reiterations it has been met with ongoing opposition the factual Narrative of our country's historical race relations continues to be taboo this issue has been politicized and weaponized efforts to implement the model

curriculum have been met with extremist actions such as intimidation censorship and whitewashing historical facts these visceral responses are contrary to the principles of democracy and reinforce the self-serving and destructive ideology often people excuse selfishness greed and bias by claiming their rights moreover it's difficult to comprehend the callousness that motivates the opposition to oppose historical truth under the guise of protecting white

children while sacrificing the minds and spirit of children of color without compunction attitudes don't just happen we choose them history is replete with examples of people doing self-serving and destructive deeds in the name of good a recent Yale University study concluded that many Americans have had a hard time recognizing the magnitude and Persistence of racial inequality because

psychologically they resist these truths psychologists refer to this kind of broad biased as motivated cognition that is most Americans want to live in a society that is more racially equal and so they engage in mental actions that ignore discount or downplay contradictory evidence to maintain coherence between belief and reality efforts to ban the teaching of America's violent and unjust racial history in

public schools are a form of motivated cognition the longer American history Remains unreconciled the longer and more complicated our struggle to realize a true democracy black history is American history thank you Sandra see bright followed by Richard Wales followed by Chloe Wong the evening president Shah board members staff parents and audience I am Sandra bright president of the

serotmus of the Chino Valley Incorporated and my partner back there is Charlene King founder of stepping up for girls we want to take this opportunity to invite all of you to attend our stepping up program on March 11th at Chino high school starting at 8 o'clock and ending at two o'clock this program is designed to help sixth

grade girls have a confident transition from elementary school into junior high school the day will be filled with all kinds of activities including speakers discussing where to go to get help with homework the importance of staying in school a fashion show with students showing examples of appropriate ways to dress for school games and a chance to win all

kinds of prizes we encourage parents to attend with their girls and we hope to see the board there also are there any questions okay I'm sorry we can't take questions right now but if you're here after the meeting we can reach out to you all right yes you may okay awesome thank you thank you thank you for letting me see

thank you good evening I'd like to talk about boundaries due diligence common sense and just being careful what you do I don't think a lot of people think about about this but this is a government agency this is not public it's not private and I think the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce needs to realize that they are

not a government entity so I went on to Instagram this morning and most of you have probably not seen it hopefully everybody sitting in front of me has seen the video but it seems that the chamber has near carte Blanc to come into our schools and they posted a video this morning from Black History Month about an entrepreneurial meeting and

there was a performance and there was also music that was placed on top of the video it was originally posted in tick tock then the chamber posted it in their own Instagram page now if I was a black man I would be furious at the word that I heard repeated four five six times we have black Security in officers in

the Next Room we have black students I have a black neighbor I grew up with a certain word and I shouldn't have to tell you what that word is in reference to slamming black people that you did not dare use so why am I hearing this first thing in the morning so in two different social media platforms

so why didn't the chamber take the time the due diligence to look at the lyrics that they chose for their video Mr Bridge you are the liaison to this group so I would request that you have a discussion with them and have them act a little more responsibly because they created a video clip that shows badly on our district

that is disrespectful and offensive to too many people and there's no excuse for it now it was taken off but that's not doing the right thing doing the right thing would have been not putting that kind of trash music with vulgarities and racial slurs on it in the beginning period thanks thank you Chloe Wong honorable members of the school board

members of the school district superintendent Dr Norm Enfield fellow parents and students uh good evening my name is Chloe Wong I am a parent of three girls who are currently enrolled at Magnolia Junior High and Edwin Rhodes Elementary School respectively I am here today to express my appreciation and support of the band program at our schools I think it is an

amazing program which teaches our students to play music and to play with others the latter provides a great opportunity for them to develop friendships and Leadership skills while instilling the values of hard work perseverance and respect for authority I am also here to seek the school district's decision to provide more funding for this program due to a few

reasons all of which are based on my observations at Magnolia Junior High School although the facilities at Magnolia Junior High School may seem adequate I believe there is a need for more room for students to practice and store music instruments when they are unable to practice at the common space they call the MPR the they would practice at the band room

and the band room is so cramped that students could barely move around without knocking something or someone the need for more space seems logical and not just for more space let's also consider a beautiful space wherein students are inspired to engage in music and a space that Fosters camaraderie among band members also additional funding would allow the

banned program to offer more instruments so more students get the privilege to to this musical journey and they can have access to different instruments as well uh last lastly additional funding would ease the burden of out-of-pocket costs as my friends have mentioned earlier every year parents are asked to donate money to keep the band program going this expectation always pose as a

financial burden to families thankfully ban boosters make tremendous efforts year after year to help cover some of these expenses but I think these efforts can get very tiring after a while and if the boosters are not successful in raising enough funds what then happened to the band program what if parents cannot pay the pledges what happens then

with additional funding it would help students to participate and enjoy the band program without worrying too much about additional costs I believe that the socio-economic background of a student should not be a barrier to joining our Band program and should not be a burden to the parent boosters additional funding to cover ban annual variable expenses would be a tremendous

help in maximizing the benefits of the program and making sure that every student who wants to be part of it has access to it once again thank you for this opportunity I look forward to seeing a response that have been mentioned tonight thank you and good night thank you Sharon Duran good evening good evening board and superintendent um I just wanted to

mention something about the band boosters I know it's hard my student was abandoned Magnolia I know a while back when Irene was here she mentioned something about getting like a committee together for applying for Performing Arts grants because they're out there money is out there for these things and that's something that I had discussed a long time ago with Carol sweat and Irene

and I wanted to be part of it but nothing came of it so that's just a suggestion that there is monies out there but you you need to either get like a part-time writer or someone that can do their applications because I know it might be a little bit tedious and then maybe like a committee that has

parents from all the bands all the high schools so I'm just throwing that out there because I know that's been thrown out there a few years back pre-covered so maybe that's something to look into for the band parents here also I wanted to comment um regarding our LG tbq youth I know for a fact that a lot of the youth don't feel safe don't

feel you know comfortable going to someone if something happens specifically there was an incident where my student who's gay had throw up like a student picked up throw up that they found in the boys locker room and threw it at my son and called him a that's a straight hate crime and Mr Monroe you know this from

your background and law enforcement that's a hate crime and he did not feel comfortable telling anyone and he didn't even tell me until like almost two weeks later when it actually happened he came in the car smelling like throw up I'm like what happened he's like oh just it's fine someone threw up next to me this and that because he knew what I

would do if I knew the truth so he waited two weeks till school was out to tell me what happened and this just goes back to the fact that we have board members that are supported by religious leaders who spread hate for rjtbq in the community the they are the ones that are most likely to be at risk of these hate

crimes and you guys are just pushing it further and further away I really hope like you guys will never have to go through this have a student that that's been targeted like that thank you thank you that concludes our speakers we're now on to item changes and deletions Pat are there any changes in deletions the following changes on the agenda item

speakers the first speaker is Eric Moreno thank you very much for allowing us to speak on this uh this item my name is Eric Marino and I am the son of Louis Marino um about I guess you said January 19th you guys voted although very chaotically it appeared to be uh in order that you guys approved the naming of the school

to be named Louis W Mourinho school and I'm not sure I'm I'm a little confused I'm a little dismayed and I'm just a little bit irritated this is very strange that you guys would rescind or request something to be rescinded after voting for it it didn't seem to be controversial at the time it was being voted for but yet it's now

seems to be very controversial most of you know my father my father probably endorsed or supported you for election I don't know if he did or not but I assume he probably had some influence on on your guys's election I I really had to change my remarks around a lot because of what I heard from the other speakers that spoke to

here today there seems to be still a problem with discrimination with people not being valued for the people that they are and it seems to be endemic it seems to be a part of what is baked into this school district that is just shocking to me it's 2023 folks my father was born in 1935. he was born

in Chino not in a hospital born on his Ranch in 1935. he lived all of his life in Chino he loved Chino he was a Native Son truly a Native Son of Chino he had opportunities to work elsewhere but he chose to work in his community when his brothers and I'm rushing through this because I only get three minutes when his brothers

joined the military and he couldn't join because of his hearing problem he chose to serve his country in another way he chose to serve them locally like you guys all are you chose to go to your community where you live and you work and you earn and put his influence towards the the the police department and he worked for 30 years nearly 30

years in that in that Police Department he took the heat he took he raised up through the ranks he it was a dangerous job and when his brothers came home after doing a a stint in Korea or with the National Guard he continued to serve continue to serve as his community and when he was done serving his community

after 30 years he came and this is during the proposition 13 times I was in high school I graduated from Chino High School the schools are being decimated the budgets were being decimated by Prop 13 because we couldn't get any more funding that's why you hear kids that are screaming to get a bus ride from Chino where you can send the football players

everywhere they need to go but you can't send a band member he decided to get involved there too because this is his community he loved Chino he ran for school board he was successful he became president he had to be my handed me my diploma when I graduated Van Der Stieg [Applause] okay board members for clarification and

understanding the effect of a yes vote means that the board will take up the naming The Preserve School number two at a future board meeting the effect of a no vote means that the January 19 2023 action of the board to name The Preserve School number two as Louis W Moreno School stance for that now may I have a motion

motion may I have a second I'll second any comments questions discussions Mr na yeah so it means that we have no names we'll just start fresh and all the names could come back on the next meetings when we're discussing the new name Dr anfield yes that's correct including the present name and all the names yep that's correct okay so we're just

starting all fresh yes okay [Music] we deserve a reason I wasn't going to make a comment but I'll make a comment something was brought to our attention after the vote and it was very concerning and I personally would never want your father to be dragged through the mud because he seems like he did a lot of great things

not at all I'm sorry sir but you're not allowed to engage during this time and I'm trying to give you a reason any other comments or discussions or questions we'll take a vote all in favor aye aye aye all Oppo any opposed one opposed any abstentions preferential motion passes with the with the vote of four to one with preferential voting one

received promotions into other promotions okay and then uh one was I think a lateral movement and then there is one individual who we have not found a position for at this time um but also needs to work in the position to finish up the the grant program because the funding's going away but we believe we'll we'll have a

position by the start of next school year for this individual so their jobs are pretty much secure yes thank you thank you make sure all our staffs have good jobs waiting for them Mr Cruz thank you girlfriend not a problem thank you for that clarification we'll take a vote all in favor aye aye my eye any opposed

those changes on the consent item for approval thank you thank you any other no seeing that there's none we're on now on to Communications Mr Bridge okay just a a couple of things uh I attended last week the student government day that our student representative did a good job of discussing uh and also the luncheon I just want to congratulate the students

that participated in the morning events at uh at our school board City councils and fire board and various commissions the students who are part of our mock board meeting here did a terrific job and it was a pleasure working with them and I also want to thank the district for uh in our cities for providing this valuable experience to our students I

think they got a lot out of it and I hope that some of them will go on and and serve either this community or wherever they choose to reside in the future I do have one question for you Dr Enfield with that being a success would it be possible to bring back a principal for a day in the fall semester I I know

we used to have it before the pandemic I thought it was good that was a good event and just wondering if that if that is being considered and if we could do that yeah we'll we'll go ahead and and add that in okay great thank you um and then uh just two other quick items uh congratulations to the Chino

High girls basketball team for making it to the CIF finals in the state Regional playoffs and even though they didn't get the result that they wanted it still is a tremendous achievement and a tremendous season and just one to offer congratulations to him for that um also tomorrow evening Wickman Elementary is hosting a multicultural day with events uh in the evening from

five to eight I'm looking forward to stopping by there and and seeing that and that's all I have for my remarks thank you thank you Mr Bridge Mr naw okay um yeah I just got the flyer here uh thank you for Optimus International um I'd like to ask all the parents to really consider bringing your daughters to

this stepping up event it's very useful informations available not only for children's safety but their new experience in junior high school the things are different and not only for the daughters but parents would learn so much and Dr anfield could you make sure that uh we do even more than enough to publicize uh this event to our sixth graders yeah I

was on uh Andy and I were talking this morning about that so we're she'll be putting more information out great so make sure that we like to have many students as possible attending it's so important and maybe we could have it in a YouTube's uh also because the kids are growing so fast front of our eyes and and sometimes kids don't

know what they're doing and as as well as our parents our parents sometimes don't have license to have children unfortunately we need driver's license to drive a car but sometimes it doesn't happen in all the families so all the help we can get from our neighbors and and Sur Optimus International really helps our children and our schools so

thank you I appreciate you love you guys uh tonight uh it was a very important night for our uh the band parents especially Chino High School I seen the program growing last a decade and we have an awesome teacher there and awesome students and yes it seems like they need a little push especially a difficult time like

this if we could look into helping them with a transportation needs I think it's very crucial otherwise they won't be here at this chilly night so Dr anfield could you have our staffs to look into that yes absolutely and support them in transportation needs as well as I think Magnolia Junior High School as well it's it's more work for our staffs but this

is again for our kids sake and I think it's very important that we give them um a piece for resolution where that they know that are adults at the district office really care for their success whether it's just sports or music or art for all the students so thank you um and yes I have a concern with

I I had same feeling with Mr Wells he's our he's our brain there and and matter of fact he's not only a father for his own daughter but he cares for all the students in our school district and it's so shameful what had happened at you know High School I like to have Dr Enfield uh send something to

the the people that that allowed these uh at the chamber and and held them accountable so that these things will not happen again in our school district because we need to be a role model for children as an adult and we need to be extra cautious and extra protective for our children so Dr Enfield could you please make sure

that we do that with the chamber yes I'll make sure thank you and that will be end of my comments tonight thank you thank you Mr Mr Cruz I also attended the student government and um also the Art Festival I don't know if you're able to see this but this one was such a beautiful piece of artwork from Buena Vista

You're just showing two people you see their backs but I just love it you know what we should do in Fairfield some of these are really beautiful pieces and maybe they should start selling them because a couple of times they've sold pieces to me but maybe we should start if they want to sell their pieces it would be great it would be a great

idea okay we'll have to look in there where they can put a price tag on online so it's beautiful this one is and then and then you got this one here it's the ceramic I mean it's beautiful stuff and then this one here I don't know if you're able to see it but it's for the people in the camera

actually and then Troy Ingram he does this stuff he does this every year he is so artistic of the things that he does he does this and it's so amazing he doesn't I really I admire Mr Ingram he's such a good man yeah so so I look I really look forward to going to the Art Festival because

it's such amazing isn't it amazing it is amazing so this this is great stuff I really love it and stamping up I will be attending this too and then raise your hand how many of you are part of the band program and you know something maybe we have to put some really deep thought into this now because we are one of the best in

the nation when it comes to marching band and band music maybe it's time to support and we do we I've always felt that we do but hearing them talk we have to do more now because because music Is Everything music is part of our Lives it's such Joy like what you guys said it's prerequisy music is amazing

so I think we all should come together because I think all of us are aligned and start figuring out and maybe people out there should come and discuss how we can improve because they're forking out a lot right yeah we should we should start we should start you know I want to say something you know I I'm always concerned with this I the

more about concern about the the vaccine schedule and I'm coming to the point maybe I might even put an action on item where people make choices for their children where they want to get their children vaccinated or not and I say this because I'll just make this short and quick you know they are you got the energy Department they're

starting to blame China for the lab leak of SARS covid leading to the disease but here here I have this this 2015 research paper that gives you the whole lineup where you have North Carolina for Dietrich and Wuhan China you know so so when you read this and when you connect all this it's more than just China we were a big part of it who

knows what other countries were part of this but you know the truth is coming out that this was a bio weapon and you know what's really so sad is if that's a bio weapon that means the MRNA vaccine is also by a weapon because it's a duplicate of the two it's the spike protein and what makes it so

horrible is how they pressured us pressured parents to force their children to get this shot and you realize it's bubbling up the truth is coming out and the media providing distance information doing all this that I think it's time for America to to address before someone else starts addressing what we have done because um the truth is coming out and the more I

see this the more I ask myself do I trust these these shots now so um that is one thing that I pay particularly attention to on this paper this was done in 2015. North Carolina fort Dietrich and then went to Wuhan China and not only that it was a chimeric with HIV in it so the truth is always out there but me

the media they lie and they deceive us I was going to say something else but Dr Zeus and you know I think you guys know I'm a librarian I've been a librarian since 2010. I've been in education for 24 years I've taught biology and I'm always grateful of the things that God has given me so these are precious moments that we have

so we shouldn't take advantage of all this life is beautiful and people are amazing so dream my child it's a nice book dream my child you'll sleep tonight dream my love to Morning Light choose your eyes beneath the Moon you know first try to write something so beautiful so it's a bit thick what it just comes from our minds

it just shows us how precious we are Dr anfield I want to send us to blend Mead okay so like I think like they like they said when it comes to the band I think it's time to do something because music is everything good job guys okay is that it Chris oh yeah thank you Mr Cruz Mr Monroe

thank you um first of all thank you to glenmead staff for being here and Reporting on the great collaborative effort uh you guys were phenomenal and it is really great to see the information and accessibility that the parents were given through that and and your guys care of this of the students um really should be commended and that

goes to District staff as well thank you for highlighting everybody involved in that really a great job in getting our kids home so I appreciate that thank you very much I had an opportunity to uh meet with a few Chinese families in Chino Hills that was a great meeting talking a little bit educating me a little bit culturally and and starting

some dialogue there it was very educational for me and I look forward with working with them in the future and and reaching out to that Community a little bit more so um that was kind of my first of many meetings before between our last meeting and this meeting I also did the student government day a great great day to get involved with our

students and and having every school represented and coming in here with the mock school board meeting um was really a lot of fun and uh um I commend staff for putting that together and and collaborating on that a wonderful day and I think the students left really with an appreciation of the amount of work and effort it takes to to run the school

that they really didn't realize um I had the uh mayor's breakfast in Chino Hills which was great it was attended by the masses in the community which was nice to talk with every aspect of government down to our elected officials and law enforcement and and fire Personnel at that event and really coming together and just take the chance to uh to sit and eat

breakfast with them and talk over ideas of how we can push our great cities forward and and this District so it was a wonderful event I too went to the Festival of Arts at Magnolia and I got to tell you if you know from we we heard a lot about the band I've talked about band before but that um

when you get involved in the district events that we have here you really see the talent pool that we have and it's phenomenal um there are some kids that put together some amazing artwork that was displayed um and I could tell you personally there was some students from myala that blew me away um Ramona Junior High had opportunity to

talk with the art teacher there and some of the techniques he's teaching those kids and and um the product of that was amazing um so I man that event was fantastic and thank you for those involved in putting that together and I would just love to see that grow what a what a uh what an opportunity to I guess boast of

the talent that are at our at our schools um this morning uh it's been a busy day but a really fun day for me I started out this morning at Oak Ridge for a read across America I met some fabulous third graders with Mrs Martinez that her class was phenomenal got to read to them and have a great time in their class and

I then went to Mrs Fletcher's sixth grade class and read to them as well and from there I went to Rolling Ridge and got to read the kindergarteners at Rolling Ridge that was a Dr Seuss book Cat in the Hat that I've never seen three classes of kindergarteners sit so quietly uh I was amazed myself as I was in front

reading but uh it has to be the uh best behaved kids that I've ever sat in front of in kindergarten to to uh read to The Cat in the Hat too so um I want to thank them for inviting me to participate in that uh one of the things I do up here is is um solicit that

so please those of you that are here or watching I'm I try to make myself as available as my schedule allows to meet with groups meet with people come visit and help in the schools or events I love doing that I do want to thank I took the opportunity while at Rolling Ridge I was able to sit and eat lunch with the

teachers and it was amazing to sit and talk with them throughout the various lunch time so I want to thank them for coming and sitting with me and sharing the great things going on at Rolling Ridge Elementary School they're really doing a fantastic job up there and it and it shows so I want I want to give a loud

shout out to them and and thank you Mrs Lopez for for hosting me and allowing me to come visit you um and that's all I have awesome thank you John um superintendent Dr edenfold all right I want to give a shout out to Mrs Chase and the Glen Mead staff for uh their work on Friday along with Mr Kerry and

our transportation department uh they did a phenomenal job of monitoring the weather and making sure that our students were safe to come down to our buses along with Thousand Pines the the the camp that they were at all three of them did a phenomenal job we had that opportunity in a safe environment to get them down to the mountain and get them

back home on Friday otherwise they would have been there for a little bit longer and I know our parents wanted them home and we wanted them home so again a huge shout out to them for doing that also again I want to reiterate what Mr non talked about are stepping up for girls so to all of our parents out there

if you have any sixth grade students that are going into junior high I would really encourage you to go to stepping up on Saturday March 11th at Chino High School it starts at eight o'clock they do a phenomenal job we'll have our principals are there they have a lot of uh great information for the girls there and again I highly encourage them to go

to go to that event and then lastly I want to give credit uh regarding the layoffs to our human resources department whenever we have to to do something like that they always work to ensure that we find positions for all of our employees so I want to thank Mr Right Out in his department for making sure that we take care of our employees

we may have to eliminate positions but we always look to find places to uh for the people to go to so thank you very much for that awesome thank you and I'll try to be quick but I have so much um I do want to thank all of you Mrs Chase and your whole staff I could tell

you Dr Enfield and I were at Lytle I got a call from Mr Monroe and immediately he went into work he dismissed himself and he was on the phone with I don't even know who it could have been everybody from see you know the California Highway Patrol to our staff to everybody else and and I thought it was beautiful that

all hands were on Deck to make sure that those kids got home safe and and it was a testimony to how Chino goes above and beyond together when we work together because there were still kids up there stuck and I'm sure they were a little frightened but our kids got to go home sooner than a lot of them I saw some

news articles from Orange County and my heart dropped because you know you hear that like there's they're still over there or they were up until Monday and and I could say just seeing all of them go into effect um yeah I just definitely want to thank you guys for doing that and thank you guys for being there with the kids and

making it as comfortable as possible for them I that truly is what matters because without you guys being there to comfort them they probably could have been even in a bigger disaster in their mind um even though we know that we were doing our best to keep them safe so thank you guys for doing that we appreciate you

um I also want to say in regards before I get to any other things into in regards to the chamber that video was brought to my attention by many parents and I immediately called Dr Enfield in within minutes he called made a couple phone calls and it was taken down but my heart dropped when I saw it it's not

acceptable and will do anything possible to make sure that that people are paying attention because these are our kids and yes we do need to keep all kids safe um I do want to congratulate our Chino high school girls basketball team John and I were able to attend one of their games and I don't know we were I I can't

speak directly for him but we had the most fun in the stands um those basketball moms haven't I mean US soccer moms have nothing on those basketball moms they were entertainment to the max but the girls played with their heart and and it was just amazing just to see um them there and Mr Miller there supporting them

um our Student Government day Maya you did an amazing job I know that has to be nerve wrecking getting up there and you did awesome um you handled it like you did it every single year and hosting it at your beautiful school we thank you for doing that the student government day this was my first one and it was exciting it was

awesome it was amazing just to be able to be one-on-one with students and then seeing our our city our different cities um city of Chino and city of Chino Hills do the same thing with our students and then all coming together for a lunch that's what it's about in our community and I think all of our our people that

were involved in that and just our community for doing that for our kids and I hope that it continues and it just continues to grow because it was a beautiful time our art festival Mr Cruz and myself we headed out there and I felt like it was Disneyland it was amazing we just kept going to school in

school oh my gosh look at this look at this and then also hearing from one of the teachers that the student said that that wasn't her best artwork and I was just caught off like it was it was amazing piece of art it was a sunflower and it was it was gorgeous but I I just want to remind our kids your art is

beautiful and being an art Master mom for many years for two kids I always told the kids you can't mess up because Art's beautiful it's something that comes from you and and just seeing it all there was just it was beautiful in the book that we were able to take home and just you know kind of look at the

art after that you guys did all a great job on that thank you I was also able to attend the mayor's prayer breakfast and it was just great to see the community come together there was over 700 attendees our law enforcement there our city council was there it was it was a good time and I appreciate those times

with everybody in our community being able to come together it was great I appreciate Brenda Walker with act for meeting with me we had coffee together and I look forward to just working alongside her to make sure our teachers voices are heard and we get them everything they need to make sure our kids get the best education so that was

very much appreciated and I hope it's just the beginning I want to congratulate all of our students and staff that are in charge of Odyssey of the minds I've been seeing things fly over over social media with you know first place here and and I remember at Rhodes when my kids were there it was a big thing and it's exciting a lot of

people don't know about Odyssey of the minds but if you do not I encourage you to look into it it's it's a pretty neat program that our kids are able to participate and the staff puts a lot of hard work into that tomorrow a multicultural event at Wickman from 5 to a I'm going to be attending that and I'm

looking forward to that because that'll be my first one I'm reading Across America I want to thank Mrs Van Der Stieg for allowing me to be with her fifth graders I do have to say the minute I walked in I was asked are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader and how to pull a question out and I can't tell you

how nerve-wracking that was to try to get that answer correct luckily I was able to get it correct I don't know my nerves were pretty uh racing there but just to see her classroom see the engagement see the respect just they were so well behaved too as well I know John said the the kindergarten but I'm just seeing just the excitement of just

using being in the classroom and just being with them that was that was something I cherish and then also today I was able to go to Mrs Steinberg at lytle's and her class was equally as awesome it was a fun time and and I do also ask that if there's any events or anything that you guys need or help or

anything please reach out to me I want to be able to be there for you guys as much as possible don't ever think it's a bother if I can't for some reason income I will always give you another time and day to be able to be there for the kids and and make sure that we're doing everything possible possible for them as

far as music I've heard your guys's concerns it hits my heart I'm gonna work directly with Dr Enfield see if there's anything we can do I know that um standard 10 does an amazing job at Grants um from what I what I'm you know can tell so we'll definitely try to look into things and see what we can do for

our kids because we don't want them to go out without we don't want them to think that they do not matter I do also want to take a I know I'm taking a long I'm almost done guys um the t-shirts for Melissa our student over at Chino High got it's really easy to order if you go on to their yearbook

page I think they post the link in their comments on Instagram um it's 15 for a t-shirt please consider taking making that donation all the proceeds go to Melissa and her family and I ask that you just keep her in your prayers please I want to thank you cattle for allowing us to be part of your kindest week it was really exciting

because I reached out to a couple of um people that I knew in city council and it just branched up from there city of Chino took um the time and they put together an amazing video for our students and I got so much feedback from parents and and teachers that the kids were excited to see that which I think is so cool and

thank you for working alongside with me on that um I I know sometimes it doesn't seem like it's a lot but it means a lot to our kids I want to thank Ayala Lytle boys republic hidden Trails Dixon Don Lugo Bona Vista Country Springs and Canyon Hills for allowing us to visit in the last two weeks I look forward to all

the site visits I got some really cool gear I came home with a couple T-shirts today I was able to wear my light Alliance t-shirt to the school while I read so those things are great because um I mean I like them they're fun I might you know decorate and put some sparkles on it but I do appreciate you

guys taking the time and just allowing us to come visit your campuses and highlighting all the amazing things that you guys have there and please know that I am here to make sure that you guys get everything that you need and I want to work alongside you so if there's anything that you need please reach out to me everybody have a wonderful night
