printed agenda conference with legal counsel existing litigation three cases conference with Labor negotiators Act and csca Public Employee discipline dismissal release and public employee performance evaluation superintendent the port the board took action to direct the superintendent to bring a recommendation and proposed action to a special board meeting to retain a law firm that will defend the Chino Valley

Unified School District without charging attorney fees in the existing litigation San Bernardino County Superior Court case number cibs-b 2317301 the people of the State of California xrel at Al versus Chino Valley Unified School District by the following vote Bridge Cruise Monroe not in Shaw voting yes no further action was taken which requires public disclosure thank you so much Pat tonight's Pledge

of Allegiance will be led by Mr Bridge we are now at recognitions tonight's guests are some of our ayalas high school's amazing students as a former Bulldog I might be a little biased let's welcome Brady Smith Ryan Chao and Sancho along with their teacher Mr artboard recently high school students from the United States Canada and across the

globe came together in Atlanta this summer to attend various events collaborate and compete in the National leadership conference nine of our Ayala students represented California in our district at the conference approximately 120 schools competed in an event titled sports and entertainment management it's my honor and it's my privilege to announce these three Ayala business entrepreneurship students Brady Smith

Ryan chow and Sean Choi finished in the top 14 in sports and entertainment management the Board of Education would like to recognize your remarkable achievements please accept these certificates of recognition Sean congratulations awesome job Brady congratulations we also want to give a special thanks to your parents and Guardians because without them I know that can't couldn't be possible as well I have one last

surprise from the Board of Education and of course this would not be possible at all with the debt without the dedication and inspiration of their teacher Mr art Boren that he gives to his students Mr Boren please accept the certificate of recognition on behalf of the Board of Education and thank you for what you have done for our students

you guys want to get together and get a picture that would be amazing they say a few words oh yes would that be okay good evening board my name is Brady Smith and I am very grateful for this opportunity to speak on behalf of the Iowa FBLA chapter this evening the last time we spoke before you we recounted

our successes and experience in Sacramento at the state leadership conference with the three of us and six others qualified for the national leadership conference the most prestigious event in all of FBLA of the 50 states and several foreign countries represented at this conference our team plays top 14 in our competition tonight my friends will share some of our

experiences from the event good evening board members my name is Sean Choi thank you for giving us an opportunity today to speak here I would like to share more about our experience at the national competition we were really nervous as we walked into the competition area nevertheless the hard work our team put in had made us experts

in that field and determination ultimately helped us get to the final round we're all very proud of our achievements we all learned this a lot from this experience and we are forever grateful to be in this business pathway and FBLA all right hello board members my name is Ryan Chao and once again thank you for letting us come here and share

experience with you we were able to gain so many memories and had the opportunity to connect with people from across the country making it to a national competition is something that students can only dream about but thanks to the Ayala business pathway and FBLA this dream became the reality for nine students hopefully next year we will be

able to send even more students to Nationals this time in Orlando thank you so much to the support that you've given Ayala FBLA will continue to reach New Heights on behalf of the other six people who could not make it today thank you for continuing to show your support and providing us with these opportunities and rest assured they are

not going to waste thank you good evening superintendent Enfield executive board and the school board we really appreciate you know this opportunity to come before you and I couldn't believe that you gave me something it was I'll treasure it always you guys so um I just want to thank you again for your support and without a school board like yours we

couldn't do it and thank you for your leadership Michael moms and dads want pictures I know mom's already signaling so could we have you guys joined please for a picture with the board and can we have the superintendent ready [Music] it is Club she broke my driver I got more thank you Logan Mr Noth you have a comment yes Mr boring

remember we talked uh your first day of school I thanked you for your service and look at years past and you have done exactly what you said you have loved children and you have supported them and because of your service this children's lives are forever changed it's the Small Things That Matters where it started in your campus a small

program but now you were able to send our children to National Conference and 14th in international program what I feed so thank you so much for what you have done for our kids but this one goes to all of our teachers and staff members every hard work that that we put into one day will grow and the result will be

unbelievable because our children would respond to the love and the care that we have as an adult so thank you so much for all of our staffs and teachers that who has shown this type of commitment and changing the lives of our kids thank you [Applause] thank you Mr nah and just so you guys know we you do not

have to stay you're more than welcome to exit out um we'll give you a couple minutes but if you want to say you're more than welcome I just know you guys probably have a lot to do um we'll give them a second and then next up is our comments from our student representative Chloe good evening board president Shaw

members of the board superintendent Enfield and distinguished guest we recently had our first student superintendent student advisory council meeting this past week where student representatives from various Junior High and high schools were invited to discuss current events occurring at our respective schools the SAC meeting was a great opportunity for students to interact with others from different schools and allowed insight into how

other schools are approaching certain issues at Ayala High School we had a very successful back to school night and rally we are looking forward to our battle for the bone game that will be next week on Friday against Chino Hills High School which I highly encourage everyone to attend furthermore today at Ayala we had our club Rush In which over

a hundred clubs set up stands in the main quad to encourage our students to get involved on our campus in news from other schools Canyon Hills and Townsend also had successful back to school nights where they invited parents to get involved with their children's academic careers Chino high school and Don Lugo are looking forward to their milk can game which will also be next

week on Friday thank you awesome thank you Chloe we're now up on our comments from our employee Representatives we have Brenda Walker from Act good evening School Board president Shaw board member superintendent Enfield District staff and community I want to call your attention to two hard-working groups that are members of associated Chino teachers these two groups need options suggestions and

relief what do we we're in the fifth week and it seems like for some of us we're in the fifth month the first group I want to speak about are our nurses this specialized group of caregivers are juggling a lot they're doing more than their share because there's a shortage of nurses in our district there has been for some

time and they're covering more than they should it's like we're back in the midst of the pandemic again that's how tired no exhausted and overwhelmed they are what can be done about it the association has offered suggestions the district is thinking outside the box but we're still down a few nurses I know that the group reached out to you

and of course some items in their letter are negotiable items but we also want to bring it to the board's attention to let you know that in order to provide the best possible service to our students something major needs to happen now on to the second group same problem fun Club is bursting at the seams it's a great service I know I

appreciated it when I had my kids in fun Club child care when they were in school but the program needs more staff again act has offered suggestions the district has a shortage that they're doing everything they can looking at all options but the program is impacted and we want everyone students and staff to be safe I ask you what can be done

thank you I will also get with Dr Enfield on those two issues that you brought up now we have Danny Hernandez from csca and it looks like do we have an alternate no Emily Lau from champ good evening president Shaw school board members Dr anfield cabinet and Chino Valley Community tonight I'd like to talk a little bit about PBIS PBIS is

short for positive behavior intervention support and is based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis the focus is on having clear consistent expectations and being proactive in recognizing students who demonstrate those expectations some guiding principles of PBIS are that different students need different types of behavior supports there is not one answer for every student every child can learn expected behaviors

when they are taught them an early intervention and support can prevent more severe behaviors later on this past week we learned that 32 Chino Valley Unified School Districts schools earned recognition for their amazing work with PBIS we're very proud to be the recipients of one silver 22 gold and 10 Platinum awards for establishing and maintaining excellent systems of

promoting positive behavior in restorative approaches we're very proud of all of these schools and we know that this is not the work of one or two people but is the work of everybody coming and working together noon ground teachers nurses administrators everybody at the school sites need to work together to create these environments and to teach our children positive

behavior so congratulations to all of our schools who earn PBIS Awards thank you awesome thank you that's an awesome honor foreign okay we're now on to comments from the audience on items not on the agenda speakers will be called in the order the request was received instruction for public comment are available by the speaker cards please listen for your

there you go yeah okay since Erasure of black history is so prevalent in curriculums today I've decided that from now on I will unredact the history of my people in an effort to show you why that is so dangerous to erase it that way homeowners associations they can be your best friend or your worst enemy they can

keep your neighbor from painting their house with polka dots or they can keep you from installing the back shed you need for your tools but do you know why they were created in the first place before the 1960s if a developer built a community amenity such as a swimming pool Golf Course or park they usually turned it over to a municipal government

to administer but in the early 1960s when black and that latinx people gained access to public swimming pools and Parks through the Civil Rights Movement developers designed a new privatized form of shared ownership they called it a planned unit development or common interest development with automatic membership in a homes Association We Now call it a homeowners association or an

HOA these developers wanted the efficiency of shared amenities without the burden of integration in public spaces their solution sold so well that the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development published a how-to booklet with sample legal documents that was in the 1960s not the 1860s the people that implemented these policies are mostly still alive or they have children they

trained in the way that they should go making policies also like that black history isn't always ancient history erasing it will just enable bigots and racists to do things like feign ignorance and encourage denial when black people tried to explain why when they sell their homes the value is nowhere near where it should be no one is asking you to apologize for

being white or otherwise non-black we are just asking you to stop acting like we are crazy or unreasonable for expecting acknowledgment and recognition of what we what we and our ancestors went through if we can do that then we can finally fix the systems put in place back then that still affect our community today thank you thank you

Misty followed by Eric shamp followed by we yay hi good evening I just want to say how proud I am of this board that we have thank you so much for continuing to stand up for what is right and for holding the line thank you we've had a minor setback but it also has done us a huge favor

because it is waking up people that have been asleep specifically parents it's very concerning this continuous narrative that parents are dangerous and this is not a forced outing as it's been called if you have come out to your teachers and your peers then you are already out it seems that there's a handful of trans kids that don't have loving

understanding parents so they go around spreading fear to other kids telling them that their parents aren't going to be aren't going to accept them or they're going to be mad at them and possibly even beat them if they come out to their parents really because that's exactly the opposite of how two of my transgendered cousins coming out and transitioning is gone

of course it was a shock at first and hard to swallow as a parent as it would be for any parent but they worked through it together and they continued to do so as a family I'm not an attorney but isn't it supposed to be innocent until proven guilty you can't assume guilt of all parents because of a few bad apples

if you are a true transgender your parents probably already know that something is going on and they are just waiting for you to actually say it my theory is that you are experimenting with how it feels to be someone else you are running away from trauma or loss and it's easy to see how your peers will react because you know that your parents

are going to call BS I'm appalled that something the judge said yesterday that transitioning is like changing religions what an ignorant flippant comparison I don't know what religion cuts off body parts takes hormones or is trying to change a person's biological makeup if anything people are proud of finding a new religion lastly I um just a comment based on Brenda Walkers

about nurses as a nurse I wouldn't want to be a school nurse right now with all that's going on I don't want that responsibility so that's that's the issue and I would hope that we can do something about Scholastic Books also in our district because it's pretty sad what they're doing thank you thank you Eric champ followed by we yay followed by Byron

Gonzalez [Applause] good evening School Board my name is Eric shamp I'm the father of four children currently in our district schools I appreciate the opportunity to speak in front of you tonight The Entity that is a school board has a particular purpose and function that is the governance of the 35 School sites in our Chino Valley Unified School District

the reason Public School Systems exist in the United States is to improve student outcomes which are to cause improvements in what students won know and two what they are able to do knowing that then the purpose of a school board is easily understood to be a group of elected community members solely focused on the evaluation and the

governance towards a singular purpose of improving student outcomes namely what they know what they're able to do both of which will ideally lead to self-sufficiency and economic stability and mobility in adulthood an immediate concern and one that seems to be more pronounced every week is that this board is committing its efforts and attention on peripheral and tangential

topics instead of the specific activities and responsibilities essential to the basic functioning of a school district rather than being a help to our community you've self-inflicted hardships and challenges that teachers students parents and administrators are having to band together to fix where the board goes the district goes meaning that you five members decide to prioritize and focus on the district

will be forced to Grapple with and spend time on the recent decisions and actions of this board are off base and while evocative of very strong opinions on either side remains tangential and unproductive to the Improvement of student outcomes again what our students know and are able to do when they enter adulthood alternatively you should be focused on

any of the following number one widespread teacher shortage forcing overcrowded classrooms combination classes and an inability to provide required Services mandated under an individual education plan you could focus on a growing population of students and families of Asian Heritage and descent who are in need of lingual and emerging Services you could focus on school safety you can focus on student

academic performance for all youth including those identified under the lcff to our foster youth English Learners and youth from low-income households your responsibilities are to these students as well you could focus on expulsion and suspension rates you can surely contend continue to conduct yourselves as you have been but it will be to the detriment of our district teachers staff members students

and the community all of us deserve board members committed to their roles and willing to do the work and take the time to seriously consider the entire breadth and scope of your role our school and our community needs you followed by Byron Gonzalez followed by Art Bennett good evening I come to speak before you tonight as a teacher in this District as

a citizen who lives and votes within this District I'm here to discuss the issues that teachers encounter on a date on a typical day at school and to implore the board to address these matters my students learn best when I tell a story so here we go imagine I'm a student so I'm sitting in my AP Literature class

right we're talking about really important fundamentals of writing it's all starting to make sense for me when the phone rings when my teacher hangs up she calls my name to go see the assistant principal but like why I'm a straight A student taking five AP classes my senior year it's super awkward and when I get there she asks if

I can confirm that I told one of my teachers that I go by Vivian but I've always gone by that so why now and I realize in my nervousness I forgot to introduce my name my name is way w-e-i but growing up in Texas I learned to go by Vivian it was very difficult for my teachers now cut to the teacher

perspective so I'm teaching AP Literature class right they're finally starting to get it when the phone rings AP wants a student I call the student I keep teaching when they come back class gets distracted everybody wants to know why they got called up got to get their focus back to the lesson Bing email chime AP wants to see me well it's past

my prep so I guess I'll have to go after school what's my point besides the fact that this is the result of the policy for which you've been slapped with a temporary restraining order this is time theft for the student for the teacher for all the students other teachers and most of all for that AP who has spent hours

reporting home for every nickname a student wants to go by when it doesn't align with what's an Aries and I haven't even started talking about all the other issues we've already had to deal with since the start of the school year 25 classrooms without AC on just day one a hundred plus degree weather now I'm not suggesting that the board has the

power to lower the temperature but this is an ongoing yearly issue where's the district contingency plan we had no Wi-fi the first week of school what's the point of being a one-to-one Chromebook District if we can't even use them they were still painting the school when we opened there were scissor lifts in use on campus while there were students

present walking mere inches away with no caution tape as they rushed from one end of campus to another during passing period we've been so concerned with whether a piece of fabric affects our students emotional safety did we stop caring about their physical safety we have so many occupancies that we have unqualified temp agency workers as aides in the classroom and substitutes filling

in for Teacher vacancies and these occupancies aren't just in the classroom but also with District personnel which trickles down to affect our day-to-day teaching what's happening with the textbook pilot for AP Literature when will my students get the Susan Barbara handbook who do I even talk to about that and why is the new head of curriculum busy trying to figure out

which kids can be in FBLA and whether or not we actually have a legitimate business pathway do any of these issues come up on your radar our copier is currently split in half because a giant rat chewed through the finisher wires ah Byron Gonzalez hello guys I'd like to give my support to you guys I'm here to voice my support

for you and our school board our state Rob bonta has decided to use our taxpayer dollars our money in order to sue our district because our district decided not to keep secrets from their parents he states that it doesn't he does it for the sake of the protection of our children he's full of crap where he um where was he when uh we had

record high suicide rate where was he when we had when we had um in particular children where was he when we had record high uh drug overdose and record high um depression when Gavin Newsom decided to close down our schools our restaurants our stores our livelihoods while he was in The French Laundry so lastly I'd like to remind you that

God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power love and sound mind thank you guys thank you art Bennett followed by Noah followed by Lisa G good evening president Shaw board members Dr anfield District staff uh as you know I'm a city of Chino council member I'm the liaison to the school board I'm also the liaison to the fire

district and tonight I'm making an announcement or giving you some information uh with respect to the Chino Valley fire district because of an event that's coming up this next Monday in the city of Chino Hills as we all know we have a horrible remembrance of 22 years ago the 911 terrorist attack on our ground one of the most

devastating events has ever happened to the United States of America this coming Monday at fire station number 66 which is located at 13707 Peyton drive in Chino Hills at 9 30 in the morning there will be a we will never forget remembrance everyone is invited to attend uh if you are going to attend get there at least

probably half an hour early parking is probably most available uh next to the Shell station and the restaurants parking lots that are there there's also a preschool you can also Park in in the local neighborhoods but it's usually well attended it is a very solemn and respectful uh remembrance each year those of us that have been there many

many years you can't help but tear up and the the devastating events that happened that day need to be remembered and need to be kept in perspective and why we want to maintain our safety not only as a nation and a state and a city but also for our children here in the Chino Valley Unified School District and you are to

be commended for the things that you're putting in place in the school district not only the all the bond money that's being set up now and been being spent to secure provide security for every school district or every school within the district but all the other improvements that are being made to make children's physical being put into a Better Learning environment

my name is Noah I'm a CVUSD student at Don Lugo and I've had the issue that one of my teachers has left before the school year started we've had many substitutes that cannot stay for long because they are uncredentialed and over the past five weeks we've been given work without a teacher to teach us how to do it and

most of my honors biology class is failing this is not fair me and my classmates all think that all students should have the right to a teacher it seems like the school board currently cares a lot more about what they call the rights of parents than the actual education of the students attending the schools in the district

the new policies have garnered a lawsuit with the state of California and the district is wasting money that could be spent on hiring teachers or simply keeping the teachers that have already been hired you are wasting money on lawyers and court fees and worse even so on something that has absolutely nothing to do with our education and is detrimental

to many students not just the trans Community which you sought to harm I'm hoping that you listen to the students who are telling you what you're doing is wrong I hope that you will be able to see this and stop wasting your time and school money on lawsuits and bigoted policies and hopefully go back to spending time bettering the district

for us instead of being so interested in the gender of students we need you to be interested in our education we need you to get us and anyone else with this issue a teacher this is not how a school is supposed to run thank you for your time thank you Lisa G followed by the final speaker Raquel Reyes

foreign good evening this time last year I along with Miss Shaw and Mr Monroe were on the campaign Trail speaking with voters about our plans to improve public education if elected to the board I spoke with parents concerned about school safety those who want more resources for special education services some concerned about bullying requesting more counselors others wanted to see

more AP classes vocational training arts and music programs foreign languages elementary schools the list goes on and on most residents I spoke with seem genuinely interested in Student Success and wanted to see less politics in the boardroom ten months in has this board majority accomplished anything remotely tied to academic success how could you when you've spent most of your time

using fear to create hysteria about transgender students who make up less than one percent of our student population I have yet to hear a single parent or student come before the this board and accuse a district employee of the so-called indoctrination you keep yelling about but this transgender notification policy remains your number one priority as others have said this is

a solution in search of a problem Ms Shaw you spent so much time in Sacramento last month spewing hate against teachers and comparing those of us who disagree with your discriminatory policies against lgbtq students to Satan that you couldn't be bothered to attend the last board meeting although you expect to be paid for it but you got your wish to put our

district in the middle of what will be a costly and protracted lawsuit that will likely take hundreds of thousands of if not millions of dollars out of our classrooms the temporary restraining order granted yesterday to block this policy will likely be the first in many losses in court but as long as it doesn't personally cost you a thing and

keeps you in the headlines and in Jack Hibbs good graces I guess that's all that matters do any of you aside from Mr Bridge even care the teachers and staff are fleeing in droves leaving classrooms without credentialed teachers in our district with a severe staff shortage I personally know of Stellar teachers who have already left or are considering

leaving primarily because they are embarrassed to work in a district overseen by an incompetent board that disparages them and passes illegal and discriminatory policies they are they're tired of being accused of keeping secrets from parents when all they are trying to do is teach so for all of you who are applauding the actions of this board please ask yourself how have they

positively impacted our schools or the academic success of our students when election time rolls around next year it's time we elect school board members who actually care more about public education than the politics of their church thank you thank you Raquel Reyes uh correction is Rachel Reyes um this is I'm going to be speaking on the Legacy Academy boundary I'm coming

to the coming before the board today to speak on behalf of my family who is greatly impacted by the new Legacy Academy boundary line I'm fully aware that the board has voted on this boundary line I'm here to speak and advocate for my community which is Birchwood Greenbrier with the new boundary line my children who currently attend Cal Arrow will now

attend a new school which is a major adjustment they will be separated from their friends where they have established relationships we have been homeowners in the community for over 10 years but the new homeowners or renters will now have now have priority over my children who would children to attend Cal Arrow the new homes that haven't even been built yet in The Preserve

those children will be given preference for Cal arrow that my children no longer attend Cal Earl is a two-minute drive and less than 10-minute walk Legacy Academy is a further distance from our community which could take up to a half hour or given the heavy traffic and frequent accidents on Pine most of the new boundary line includes apartment

communities who are mostly renters this is no disrespect but homeowners have a more vested interest in their community and should have more input on their child's school choice please reconsider the boundary line the Birchwood Greenbrier Community has a large homeowner presence that has their choice of that should have their choice of what school their children will attend

is something that should not be taken away from them thank you thank you thank you to all our speakers we're now on to changes and deletions Pat are there any changes or deletions the following deletion is on the agenda item 4a1 new administrative regulation 50 20.1 parental notification is pulled from the agenda thank you Pat moving on to action items the first item

assistant superintendent ciis is September 11 2023 ending June 30th 2027 item two salary the annual salary to be paid to the assistant superintendent is range 12 step 4 190 thousand and six seventy six dollars item three doctoral stipend of 7923 dollars and four cents annually item five fringe benefits receive Health and Welfare benefits capped at ten thousand dollars and mileage of 550

here to get over to the Chino High football game and and to completely uh forgot about that and also thank you for your comprehensive report tonight because you took part of mine Which is less that I have to to say about the um fall Sports Seasons are underway and as Chloe mentioned the the two big rivalry games are next week and I would

encourage if you get a chance to go to one of them I know they're at the same time and I know not everybody wants to go to both games but I would encourage you to to go and See it'll be great uh great action I want to wish all the players on all four teams uh well and uh have a safe and terrific

contest uh and lastly the I would like to congratulate the four girls state representatives the seniors from Chino High Ayala Don Lugo and Chino Hills High School Annalisa Contreras uh Elena rossen Amy Dean and Caitlin usigi so congratulations to them and uh that concludes my comments awesome thank you Mr Bridge Mr knot yes uh this time I'd like to thank

[Music] Eric Keltner he's a parent also grandparent and also member of a strong teacher's family I believe his sister's been teaching for I guess almost like three decades and he'd like to share with me that that he really likes to see four quadrants of of Education to be read to our staffs and this is coming from his own personal experience as a parent

and grandparent and also as a member of an educator family that our teachers must understand and staffs must understand that the number one of the school districts existence is about best quality providing best quality education for our children no matter what that should not be hindered by anything else number two there must be an open communication between students

parents and teachers and staffs and that has been sometimes clouded by whether it's external or by the the laws being policed by the state so that is a concern that we must be United together to resist and third which is the most important thing you have heard Mr boring from Ayala High School of beginning of the meeting with those

four children did you see his demeanor his politeness and his true loving passion for our kids this will change our kids lives because this work will take on their lives the memories our life is full about dramas but we're here to make a movie for none other than our children our teachers our staffs has to remind ourselves

our role as an adult as an educator we must and we try our best to provide that type of experience for our kids because it won't matter not just today but also tomorrow and lastly we must provide safe learning experience a place for all the children treat them like your own kids treat them with love but also with

discipline because these are our children I get excited when I see high schoolers junior high schoolers Elementary students because I remember how my children's were when they were little there's nobody different we all have to be fed certain times of the day or neither hydration water need embracement encouragement we need to do that because we're no different than any other people we're

all same and and he wants to make sure that I would share these thoughts four quadrants of basic education to all of us tonight so thank you Mr Eric Keltner now we talk about all these external factors but there's a valid point made by one parent who sent me a text and she said public education is about

teaching students how to think not what to think and we need to understand that and protect this very important reason for public education whether there is disagree or agree or trying to dictate or even kidnap our public education we need to stand up and this cannot be stopped it is again my belief our children belongs to our parents

not to the state so thank you for coming tonight all of you guys and thank you for adani shenko giving you a promotion of this ad so I'm officially a member of a security team as of tonight thank you thank you Mr non nice hat Mr Cruz president of Sonia those two issues that um the president brought up the social

Council no nurses and the fun Club so I know you brought that up so quickly yeah I'll follow up with the doctor and then Scholastic Books it'd be nice to further understand what's going on with that oh what's what's going on with the Scholastic books and and then Dr Enfield the the procedure that we conducted to create

the boundaries was that con was that conducted by surveys and all that stuff yeah it was well we put a um a flyer out for parents uh to be on a committee and then uh committee was set up they went over a number of different uh criteria that they were looking for uh to ease the number of students we you

know reduce the number of students in Calera because we're approaching about 1700 at Calera so they looked at how many students would they need to reduce that down to a feasible number and then a number that would grow the new school and then they looked at I think four different options um four different boundary options and then with that they we surveyed the the

community on that and received input on that and then the committee came back and made the recommendation to go with option one and the survey majority was from the parents was for option one and that was the recommendation brought forward to this board and that's the recommendation the board approved okay thank you okay I'd like to share a

student's piece of artwork Don Lugo and um I got this like four years ago I think I gave like the student 40 bucks but every time I look at this I always think of The Twilight Zone you know that one lady where she has a fever and she thinks that the sun's getting closer and she's getting hot but on the contrary the sun

is moving away so it's getting colder so but this is really nice work I I find I find this stuff so amazing and like I said Dr info we should start doing these things like auctions like for next year it would be awesome I'm telling you some of the stuff is amazing amazing I watch a football you know I went two

of high school football you know I won't mention it but man it was so exciting seeing everybody wearing these hats so I had to get myself a hat so this is I'm not I'm not a hat person but it was go Cowboys I tell you it was fantastic I wonder what school that was it's fantastic I I

observe I observe all that and maybe I might just wear a cowboy hat from now on but um yeah so I find it exciting all that is so cool and very you know I'm in education too and this will be my 25th year and I'll tell you one thing when you're around kids the energy the energy is so so strong you

know it could be this way that way but it keeps us youthful and I could feel that I haven't aged so I I Sonya I identified myself like 40 years old um it's a serious note though you know the binding Administration is encouraging those people who have not been vaccinated and those who have been vaccinated in children to get their fall

September booster shot that's coming an account for a website you know states that it's safe and effective and free and masking is still an important tool for preventing the spread of coven 19. but you know something right now there is no clinical data to recommend this to six months and up no safety trials the risk and benefits are

uncertain for example what happens if your child has been sick already do you still give the booster shot almost all children have coveted already what about myocarditis among the age between 12 and 18 years of age what are the benefits can it be less micro myocarditis or more um what about students people look who have never been vaccinated should they

take it too what about simply being healthy because the majority of our students are healthy all of them are healthy and and the question is this why have there not been any FDA studies during the covid-19 crisis I mean they could have had is it true children who are vaccinated slows the spread of viruses in older people they

could have done some Mega uh um trials because this was a a big worldwide experiment children that are healthy should they get it um what about myocard artists there wasn't any of these studies to get really good results good data and and what about the vaccine does it stay in your arm how long does it last there was a there

was a study there was a study says that half of the vaccinated people never stopped producing Spike proteins this only went up to six months so people that have taken the vaccine half of them are still producing the spike protein and so you know by now they should have done some Mega studies worldwide to investigate all these things that are occurring but you

just get little bits and and pieces of it and what about long covet you know you know my niece she's an ICU nurse and she's saying that she's seen a lot of young and older people that have respiratory distress she was stating that the symptoms are very different than when when it started but she sets this which I don't

understand because I didn't go any further but she said that that a lot of these people crotches are on fire and honestly I the only thing that I can conclude is I can't conclude anything okay it's it's strange but but they should have done a lot of Trials because they had enough they had over billions of people that have taken

this and they have not read this to you the CDC covid-19 appears to be effective with the variant maybe more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had covid-19 or who have received covid-19 vaccines I mean this is coming from the CDC you know what I call this I call this gaslighting you know they tell you

take your vaccine but at the same time CDC is that the people that are most vulnerable are those have taken the vaccine the benefit of wearing masks this one here most of the people give these masks to kids and right off it says this product is an earlobe mask this product is not respiration and will not provide any

protection against cover 19. but we give these out and you know what's not good you know it's not healthy but we do it anyways because we feel good about it and then an NIH report recently published study has found that wearing n95 masks is far from being safe and potentially health risk published in April and quality shared by the NIH

researchers blah blah blah found that disposable Mass including medical grade n95 masks released eight times the recommended safety limit for toxic volatile organic compounds and here down the bottom says actually you're better off wearing a clothe mask a cloth mask than the n95 you have to remember that that there they should have done experiments because nobody doesn't wear masks for

eight hours no kids don't wear it but they want them to wear it there's something wrong okay and and this time we're going to get it right you know we didn't get it right at first but you know it's hard when we get light and we repeat the same thing over again so at this school we're going to stay

strong and tough you know I'm gonna say something that's kind of out there but I want you to pay attention um I can't all right next week okay next week okay this is a book that I'm going to give to um Woodcrest it's it's a it's a non-fiction it's based on a true story actually the person still works at Santa Unified

School District and what was interesting that you know he got shot and um he went to prison but the person that shot him was in the same place so the stories talk stories about you know people coming together so you know this is right to our doorstop um what next week all right okay that's it thank you Chris

Mr Monroe I'll make it quick uh I want to thank Miss yarboy for uh the invite to come to Ayala had a great sit down with the counselors there and getting to know them some of the uh things that they needed some assistance with and even the USB the student body had a great meeting with them and

sitting down in a great exchange of ideas and uh what a what a great group of kids down there that are involved and and able to articulate their thoughts and preferences it was really a privilege to go down and meet with them I want to thank Don Lugo counseling staff for the invite as well I went down

and spoke with them at length on some of the hardships they're having down there so I'm looking forward to trying to to uh mend some of those hardships in both locations and and work towards uh some positive impact impact in the future and I look forward to the Rivalry week coming there's nothing I would like more than to see the milk can go back to Don

Lugo so go conquistadors okay I'll make it quick so you guys can leave I also want to thank Dr yarboy and her staff we we had a great meeting um there and I also want to thank Don Lugo and Canyon and Chaparral as Dr Enfield and I had planned last school year we hit every School site last year and then

this year we had a this school year we had a goal to hit every classroom and show our support and it's just amazing to see our teachers in action and our staff doing everything that you guys work on too to be having it put in place so thank you guys for continuing to work together to ensure that all these

amazing things continue to happen um I just want to make a little comment The Daily Business of our district is exactly why these board members I I think every single one of us with my heart are here is to support the Daily Business of our staff we are working every day hard on bringing the best programs the best speakers I'm excited

about you know just even trying to fight for our money I mean me being a fellow art Master mom at Rhodes for many years to see that there's actually money now being put for these things I know it's not much but we anytime we have an opportunity to apply we're applying our our cabinet is working hard on

implementing the dream of the board and the direction Dr Enfield I want to thank you for continuously standing up for our kids and our families and providing your staff everything that you need um I I am the last I don't know eight and a half months I am blown away by your leadership being in this position from a parent seeing you to a

superintendent I thank you and I honor what you're doing and I appreciate everything you're doing and you have my support fully um I also want to thank every single one of you guys sitting there and we are excited that you get to join us I also want to thank our security I have a really cute story I'm trying to make it

quick but there are so many beautiful things happening all around every day I know we see headlines and if we just also take a step back the daily work of our business the many pages you see in an agenda that most parents will never look at that is what our District's about and that's why we're fighting so

hard to make sure parents are involved and they have an opportunity in their child's education because you guys are doing an awesome job but our security you know I love you guys I walk on campus and man you guys are awesome seeing the relationship that you're developing with these children are sros as well I couldn't even be more proud of

you guys um you know when the board came on we had a lot of safety issues as a mother of a child at a local high school that there was a lot of issues our board focused real quick we gave the direction to our superintendent and he just put everything in place we went from having an equal amount of four security guards

at every site to having a formula that actually brought more security that made sense to keep our kids safe and with that it also helped our current security not be overloaded they were overloaded they were doing so much and to give them that support and see the smiles on their face you guys know I'll continue to work

alongside you to make sure you guys have everything that you need and I know that that the majority of the board supports that as well and I appreciate you guys thank you for all that you do to keep our kids safe we safety is number one if you guys keep our kids safe they do their amazing job

our kids are in great hands and that is the beautiful thing about Chino I believe in Chino I was born and raised here I know Chino is amazing I know Chino is a is a Hidden Gem I mean if more people knew we would probably be even more busting at the seams um we put you know 90 million dollars to

build a new school that that's a that's a testament to how valuable Chino is instead of you know just taking more kids and busting everywhere and not being able to provide them with the education they deserve our district is focused on that and and wow thank you because it speaks volumes I'm excited about Legacy Legacy is going to make a

legacy here in Chino Valley um I also want to thank you Chloe Last board meeting I was literally rounding up 21 teenagers probably the same age as round around yourself I had the best time in my life being able to be there with my daughter I missed the opportunity to have your first board meeting my apologies but I'm so excited

you're here you're doing an amazing job we're excited that you're on board and I know you're representing all students which is actually a beautiful thing so thank you so much um the games guys all games all sports if you guys can attend you will see I and even our our choir performances um that will be coming up soon attend

the students love to see your faces in the audience I got to attend some football games I think some of us are even going tomorrow to Chino high school we got invited please keep inviting us to events we can't be at every single thing but I can tell you looking at every single one of these faces we're at

every single event that we could be if not we're dividing and conquering it um we want you guys to know that we have the support I am proud of Chino I love Chino Valley and um I I just I'll close the meeting with that because I think Chino is special and at 7 15 I now adjourn the regular meeting of Board of
