with a vote of 5-0 with Bridge crw Monroe and sha voting yes separately the board of educations offer to settle San Bernardino Superior Court case number sb23 00095 entitled Chino Val Unified School District versus Chino Development Corporation for the sum of 2,400,000 has been accepted the Chino Valley Unified School District received the settlement no further action was

taken which requires public disclosure thank you tonight's Pledge of Allegiance is led by our city of Chino Hills councilman uh councilman art Bennett please rise put your right hand over your heart and join me in the salute to the greatest nation on Earth ready begin I plge Ali to the flag of the United States of America and to the

won't make you go to the podium Dr Enfield but ladies and gentlemen tonight I have the distinct honor of presenting Dr Enfield with this prestigious award to hopefully be displayed in our new district office this recognition is a testament to the incredible work being done at CBD for our students I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone um

in the community and Inland Empire who took the time to recognize our amazing cbsd teachers classified staff admin parents and families your votes and your support show that we're on the right track and we couldn't be more prouder our board is all about supporting parents and families making them the key players in the children's education together our Educators staff parents are

providing the best education possible free from political ideologies and we are so very grateful for that Dr Enfield accepting this award on behalf of the district recognizes the hard work and dedication of all involved under your leadership our district has floor is showing that we can achieve when we work together congratulations to everyone on this well-deserved recognition let's

keep striving for the best for our kids ensuring they get the exceptional education they deserve please join me in congratulating our district and celebrating the their achievements and Dr Enfield I wanted to present we are Inland Valley's favorite School District which I think is a huge thing because we got we were uh voted uh the favorite School District by the readers um for

the Daily Bulletin and I think that is a testament to the hard work and dedication that you um and your staff and our teachers and our community has done so thank you for everything um I would like to take a picture with all of us with this because to me this is a big award possible yes [Applause]

EAS thank you congratulations I just really want to uh comment really quickly on this again Mrs Shaw I want to and I'm glad you acknowledge all the work that everybody across our district does in our community uh to recognize the Chino Valley Unified School District in um in the vote that they they put out through the uh the publication through

the Inland uh Valley so again it just recognizes all the work that everyone across this District does to support our students so again pretty cool that uh people recognized us for the work that we're doing here thank you we appreciate it okay we are now on to comments from the audience on items not on the agenda rayan are there any requests to speak

as we move into our new facility I just want to draw everyone's attention to the fact that while we leave this room the memories we brought here into this room go with us to the new facilities next as we also end the school year I wanted to thank a couple individuals who are moving on from our district first I have to acknowledge our

act president Brenda Walker who has done such an amazing job over the last time leading our district and our and our Union family in their Endeavors through tough and prosperous times she will be missed and congratulations to Stephen for his appointment as president of the ACT next I I would be crazy to not think our two assistant principles who are

moving on from our school Ashley Davis was was appointed as an assistant superintendent at another District a promotion that is welld deserved she took BST from something that was new to something that is thriving on our campus and she will sely be missed a hard person repace we also just found out that miss kolinsky is also going to be moving to a

district in the Irvine area while we only got to see her for a short amount of time she was an amazing part of the Chino High family and finally of course the one that's going to make me cry most is Miss fellow here who's going to be leaving us for a well-deserved retirement now on a final note it was

brought to our attention that a certain District in the Inland Empire or LA area was Banning phones when are we going to do this cell phones are the scourge of our classroom with Chromebooks and other technology available to our students cell phones while in the past an important tool for Education have been eclipsed by other technology means the reality is that our

students are better without the little devices whether it's the drama caused by texting Snapchat Tik Tok YouTube game and many others a world without cell phones would benefit everyone within the district I wish everyone a great evening thank you for the memories here and we'll see you all next next time at our new board next Paul Griffin followed by

Gloria Chelli followed by Sarah Omari I'd like to begin by correcting the record for Miss Shaw last week uh I never said I was against parent uh I was never against parental notification I said the policy that you had is not a loving one uh you did not appear to remember that when regarding my three students um that I mentioned where the

parents already knew uh if you want you can check glendora's notification policy for more ethical approach that won't cost the district uh unnecessary millions in in legal costs Mr n last week you said that adults appear to have forgotten basic biology you're wrong I am sure superintendent and field assured you that we continue to teach basic biology

at our secondary levels but at the University level we do Advanced biology I've uh given you all handouts uh on some others where uh some information on more than just the claim that XX and XY people exist they do uh make up 99.7% of the population so we are talking about the vast majority however there are other combinations that we found since

1938 um some women carry three four or even 5 X chromosomes men can carry extra X chromosomes which is called kleinfelter syndrome um some men can carry an extra Y which is called Jacob's syndrome the symptoms and side effects of these syndromes are listed on the paper for you some women only have one X chromosome and and it's called Turner

syndrome this one is especially interesting because the very last chromosome to split is the second sex chromosome and in this case the last piece didn't replicate or partially replicated when the cell Split For the First Time sometimes the remaining parts of the last chromosome is a y which means this person is a biological male but because the remnants of the Y chromosome were

insufficient the embryo develops into a female the next two pages after that is another biological case where things are not so straightforward as we'd like to have them be because biology is messy it doesn't always get everything right it's a rare disease called Androgen insensitivity syndrome called AIS first in 1953 this person is a genetic male has

XY but the body does not respond to the male hormones during fetal development as such this person will have a vulva vaginal Canal but no cervix no uterus and where the ovaries should be are underdeveloped testes on the outside they look female but they are genetically males with male and female parts inside of them so what are they to

us what should we do I think maybe let them make that decision so like I said last time fear and ignorance are the real enemy and I hope this information will only scratch the surface of the complexity these issues for the super minority of people have and may persuade you to change your approach on these topics in the future thank

you next Glory chicker belly followed by Sarah Omari followed by Unice YULA I'd play with you but I don't think my mom would like me playing with you cuz you're black go pick my cotton a black student gets handed a drawing of a monkey and told that's you non-black student repeatedly flicks a sweater at a black student and says I'm practicing

whipping you slave all of these things were said to black kids on CV USD campuses this past school year and that was that first one being said by a child younger than 12 and none of these incidents including the physical assaults that occur on a regular basis as well and you want to know something even more discussing than what I just

said there isn't a single person on this board that will do a damn thing about it it won't be addressed in your Communications tonight no one will reach out to address the concerns raised here no Educators or admin will be held responsible nothing while the apathy for the trauma black kids goes through in this district is districtwide to be

clear the the two main high schools in Chino Hills have become so anti-black that their school environments are giving Jim Crow with actual child advocate Educators being outnumbered by Maga hat wearing dei's Marxist Educators to those to put this into perspective I was at a black student Leadership Summit a couple weeks ago with students who go to these schools when I asked why they

don't tell their parents or report it do you know what the kids said to that we would miss Glory but it feels like they always Gaslight us into thinking it's not not a big deal and another student added to that by saying and one of the counselors is just like that lady from the school board who always says all

that magga stuff so you know how she is when you when people who look like us report anything to her and why would they I come week after week darn near screaming at this board about what black kids go through in this district and the head head educator himself at the very most will send a zero tolerance email or

an equal opportunity for all email much to same way he did when a group of non-black kids displayed transparently threatening and dangerous views towards black people and kids in society and in the district specifically in 2021 and um 2020 and 2021 why would they report it at the site level when coming to the very top as I am now doesn't even get

anything done or when the counselors and Educators these kids are supposed to report to don't actually care about anything they have to say all of this is to say two things black parents and parents of black children just because your child is not telling you something doesn't mean your child is safe taking AP classes and getting a scholarship didn't

prevent a black young lady from getting a spelled for pulling her phone out during a fight why would it protect yours and secondly I want to end with this the board has always um has created an echo chamber of support for them so that they can claim to do a good job without actually having to do a good job

thank you next Sarah Omari followed by Unice yoa followed by marisel Deo good evening um as my husband and I were on vacation at the last uh during the last school board meeting I do want to say happy Pride to the whole Gino Valley Community and I also want to recognize that yesterday was juneth so I hope everyone had an opportunity to

celebrate what juneth stands for I just want those communities to know that as a Chino Valley Community I see you I hear you and I hope that the Chino Valley Unified School District can become a place that you don't have to worry about surving ding but you can actually focus on thriving unfortunately we haven't even met the basic needs for those

groups if you look at the California dashboard information and disaggregate the data we're not we're doing a disservice to those uh populations they're not uh and not providing the right services and we're also not just providing we can't focus on thriving because we're not even able to get through the basic decency of Being Human to each other and that's displayed by

Miss Shaw's um behavior um focusing on being a bully rather than a Schoolboard president um so one of the things I read the champion I love how you brought up the Daily Bulletin um and there was a letter in the Chino champion this weekend written by Jim Gallagher that really um summarizes how I felt about the last school board meeting after

watching it um Mr Don Bridge a longtime resident teacher and Chino Val Unified School District public servant was incredibly disrespected at the Board of Education meeting on Thursday June 6th School Board president Sonia Shaw took it upon herself to bully intimidate and even bring Mr Bridge's family into a political discussion without articulating any coherent argument based on the substant of Mr Bridge's

reasonable response to a recent Title 9 resolution brought forward by Miss Shaw Miss Shaw routinely shows an obvious and dangerous level of contempt and disrespect for her peers our students teachers parents and families but this unreasonable and unprofessional treatment toward a fellow board member who has served as a role model for this community went too far moreover the lack

of order and dysfunction within our Schoolboard has significantly impeded CV usd's capacity to address crucial issu isues that directly affect students such as adequately funding special education and advocating for funds to sustain our current programs through the next year as we Face alloing budgetary crisis Mr Bridge has repeatedly shown that he supports all students rights to learn in

a safe and inclusive classroom and the importance of shared governance he routinely is the only board member who focuses board action on ensuring taxpayer dollars are getting into our classrooms and not wasted on lining lawyers Pockets um you can see we're probably going to be approaching that million-dollar mark this year and legal fees um so on that note I commend Mr

bridge for his tireless dedication to our community thank you um unwavering optimism and positivity and 30 plus years of teaching experience in our community at the very least Misha you owe him an apology thank you next yoa followed by marisel Pao followed by Jenny trong good evening boy board members staff and parents and I want to thank

you for letting me share some relevant information about about our programs events and items of interest within the city of Chino uh Curtis Burton sends his regrets for not being here this evening but he is not feeling well uh regarding our Chino summer nights kanana summer concerts on the lawn things are heating up in Chino and it's not just the

temperature our fun and familyfriendly summer movies and concert series continue this week on the city hall lawn we're partnering with Chino kuanana Club to Hope uh to host free concerts every Thursday night tonight June 20th local rock band Ransom is bringing some fantastic Tunes to City Hall to learn more about this year's lineup please visit City of.org

theme is a salute to our Armed Force Heroes mark your calendars and join the fun visit City of.org cspr to learn more thank you very much for allowing me to be here this evening next Marcel Deo followed by Jenny Trung followed by Richard Wales good evening Chino community board members and cabinet I would like to start off by thanking our district for

renewing the contracts of our mtssb counselors at all our school sites it speaks volumes that our district is committed to the mental well-being of our students by ensuring that a counselor is at every School site one of the most important roles our counselors play in our district is that of a first responder what that means is if a child

makes a statement regarding suicidal or homicidal threats it is taken very seriously um along with the school psychologist and administrators we do the threat assessments we take every threat seriously regardless of how insignificant it may be all school is trained on this protocol to immediately notify one of us after we are finished with our screening we immediately call

the parents and inform the parents of the child's statement we discuss the screening and offer resources to help the families additionally we do not release the child into parent comes in person to the school site and signs the necessary documentation as First Responders we stay with that child regardless of our contractual work hours we stay because we care we care about

every child's safety I want stay till 7:00 at night when the crisis response team social workers and the police concluded their investigation this is probably one of the hardest parts of our job is to see students in crisis now this brings me why I'm here on a summer day I had one of my parents reach out to me telling me that there's a

video circulating on our board president's Instagram page saying that our schools are sending kids home that are suicidal without telling the parents I would like to play you her video tenes you're sending them back in the home not telling their parent one day they're upstairs listening to music and then they put a rope around their neck and the parent doesn't even know

they think their kids innocently listening to music or something and they kill themselves and the teacher and the district knew that that kid had suicide thoughts but the parent didn't miss Shaw your statements are a lie this is misinformation that you are spreading to our Chino community and your followers this is a slap in the face to all us

school counselors School psychologists teachers and administrators that are given this huge responsibility you are undermining all our District's efforts to ensure the safety of our students Chino provides extensive training for our staff it is dangerous and Reckless for a Schoolboard president to spew such harmful lies that our school staff would jeopardize the safety of any of our

students without informing the parents you do this for your own political gain our District offers suicide awareness training for all our families I would highly encourage every board member to attend this training I once again would like to thank Dr mfield Dr Park and Mrs fellows and the cabinet for your continuing support of our stud jny trong

followed by Richard Wales followed by diomi m good evening district school board members my name is Jenny Trang I'm a concerned parent at CER Academy and resident of the Chino preserved Community I want to bring this to your attention an urgent issue that's affecting many families in our community the need for increased Child Care Provisions in the high five after school

program there's a new program that fun Club forming next school year however it's already full at calero due significant rise in enrollment and new families moving into our area despite applying in a timely manner for the high five program my children along with many others will have not have a spot for the 2024 20 25 school year this situation is creating a

great deal of stress for parents who rely on these programs to ensure their children are safe and engaged in this constructive activities while we fulfill our work commitments given the significant increase in enrollment and the growing number of families in our community it's clear that our current Afterschool Child Care programs are unable to meet the demand to address

this pressing issue I'm seeking your assistance in advocating for more resources and support for the district to expand the capacity of the high-i program specifically we need additional funding Staffing facilities to accommodate the increasing number of students I kindly request that you engage with the community board to Garner the support and collaboration in this effort a unified approach will

strengthen the our case and help secure the necessary improvements here are a few points that highlight the urgency and importance of this matter increase enrollment calier Academy has significant rise in student numbers with many new families moving into the area working parents many parents in our community depend on the high- five program to provide a safe environment

for their children while they work Child Development quality of Afterschool programs offer educational and social benefits that are crucial for the development of our children community well-being ensuring that all children have access to after school care contributes to the overall well-being and stability of our community we would be grateful if we could discuss this issue further at an upcoming school

board meeting explore potential Solutions your assistance in coordinating with the community board and other relevant stakeholders to address this concern is crucial thank you for your time and consideration next Richard Wales followed by Naomi M wanted to appreciate your voting for the resolution to protect our daughters I would have been here but I'm raising a daughter that can protect herself

I was raised under the idea that just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right and just because it's right doesn't mean it's legal so are you operating under a moral compass or are you operating under something else if you're opposed to this now we have a group of women that would jump up and down and scream they

were feminists and in my day if a man walked into a bathroom or a locker room he he would be arrested thrown in jail and probably become a sex offender so if you're a father of a girl you better be behind this stories about girls in high school of young women in college wondering where their fathers are crying for their

father's help is inexcusable waiting for this problem to happen in this District well it's happened a couple times a couple years ago so if you wait for it to become a problem it's kind of bite you in the ass so mine's going on to Junior High at Townsen and things better go smoothly because you mess with my

daughter you mess with me we have lots of Mama bears and they talk about getting between a mama bear and her Cubs there's Papa Bear Mama Bear ain't got nothing on Papa Bear this isn't a threat this is a warning do not let men males inside bathrooms locker rooms or female sports some of them may be gender confused but

unfortunately my gender is stupid enough at this young age to want to play play a girl so they can get into a bathroom or a locker room just so they can see girls change yes we are that dumb at that age so if you have daughters if you have granddaughters remember that your duty as a man is to protect your

family again thank you and if 1995 goes through if Title 9 goes through violate them thank you next Naomi M good evening I'm reading this on behalf of a teacher who is unable to be here tonight good evening members of the school board I would like to address a pressing issue that has recently come to light regarding the state stat ments

made by our school board president Sonia Shaw it has come to my attention that Mrs Shaw in a recent podcast appearance made the troubling assertion that educators are not informing parents when their children exhibit Suicidal Tendencies this claim not only misrepresents the the dedication and professionalism of our Educators but also places unfair blame on them for a

situation they Handle With Care and responsibility in my 5 years of teaching within this District I have gone I have undergone yearly training on how to identify and respond to signs of suicide among students this training equips us with the necessary tools to recognize when a student may be in distress and outlines the protocol to follow in each

situation I have personally encountered two instances where students Express suicidal thoughts and in both cases I adhere to the district established procedures upon identifying these students as being at risk I promptly notified the school counselor Administration and parents the students were not released to go home until their parents arrived to pick them up furthermore we ensured that the parents

were connected with Chino Human Services to arrange counseling for their children in addition to providing counseling services within our school environment these actions were taken in accordance with the well-defined protocols set forth by our district it is deeply troubling to see false information being disseminated about the actions of dedicated Educators and counselors who are committed to the well-being of our

students such misinformation not only damages the reputation of our teachers but also undermines the trust between Educators parents and the community at large it is imperative that we address this issue and set the record straight I urge the school board to take action to correct these inaccuracies and to reaffirm our support for the tireless efforts of our Educators in ensuring the

safety and well-being of all students it is essential that we work together to foster a culture of transparency collaboration and Trust within our school communities thank you [Applause] do you know who you turned it into uh the African Aman did does anybody know can they verify that you turned it in I saw him it he had a

speaker it first one I receiv for Amanda's well you guys are Amanda you saw him turn it in then we can go ahead and it right thank you superintendent and the board for allowing me to speak I'm a retired Middle School teacher from Fontana Unified but I live here uh when I was a young teacher it was understood

that a teacher does not lie to or hide things from parents and that adults who told kid kids to keep secrets from their parents were the bad guys uh the Democratic State Legislature now proposes that lying to and hiding information from parents become state law we know that AG Bon will enforce it even if it doesn't pass as his recent

actions against Chino unified have shown this will force teachers and staff to lie or seal from parents the truth about their children who are being influenced to transition our Democratic Leadership truly has no care for the well-being of children the evidence against their uh opinion is mountainous uh the ni published a study recently showing that people who begin to transition are 12

times more likely to attempt suicide wath the world professional association for Trans health is gung-ho on getting kids to transition but some of their doctors have doubts in private a zoom meeting video was leaked to reporter Michael shellenberger in it a doctor stated that teens cannot possibly give informed consent because their abstract thought hasn't developed they are only focused on their

current struggle but can't understand the impact of never being able to have children or the fact that they will be a patient on powerful drugs for the rest of their life or the lifelong struggles from cutting off parts of their body he further stated that parents don't understand the impact of the decision to transition the child because

they are so concerned about their child's current struggles transitioning seems like the absolute wrong choice for children since most the overwhelming majority will overcome the problem simply by going through puberty since the district's attempts to protect children is obviously clashing with California government's purpose of sacrificing children maybe a more General policy could be enacted the written policy might state that CH that

teachers or staff will never be punished for telling parents the truth and that teachers and staff can never be forced to lie or to hide things from parents I know most parents never wanton a liot of parents most teachers never want a liot of parents that might be the best you could do until students can be told

about their true identity in Jesus Christ which won't be soon in this Pagan land and homeschooling is another great option thank you for listening and for trying to uphold parental rights thank [Applause] you we're now on to changes and deletions the following change deletion is on the agenda item 3 E1 certificated classified Personnel items for certificated management Personnel under

would you explain to the public here tonight and those watching at home the uh location of our July meeting yeah our July meeting we were hoping to have it at the district office but we're not sure if all the technology will be set up and ready to go so we're out of abundance of cautions we're going to

delay that to August yes we'll be here in July thank you just uh two quick uh two quick items I want to uh wish everyone a wonderful Independence Day and holiday and I hope that uh you um are able to get out to one of the uh community events whether in in Chino with their fireworks display or the city of Chino Hills which is

having their um their uh evening and I believe when I see Mr Bennett there July 3rd it's the day before wanted to make sure that I was correct on that so I want to wish everybody a wonderful holiday and the last uh just want to wish my wife a happy anniversary which is next week and also our daughter and

son-in-law are coming down for their second anniversary so just wanted to wish those too so that it concludes my comments thank you Mr na yeah um I was able to attend Le fellow's uh it's a retirement function but I feel like I was attending a birthday function um I think whole District uh personnels were there including all the

teachers uh even former teachers and former admin and students so it just told me that how close we are at Chino Valley of people uh even though she has been here for so many years and people have gone here and and moved away but they all came back to celebrate their friend Al fellows it meant so much for not only for her but

for all of us so thank you for all the staff members and teachers um supporting another uh that's what true friendship means and that's the meaning of being a family member and thank you Leia for all your services for so many years I started from the classroom so thank you so much and and and I hope to see you

maybe as a consultant to our district you be a my number one I'll be your number one fan um to invite you back here uh along with all our teachers sitting there you're just an awesome uh person for our education at Chino Valley School District thank you so much uh yes let's give her a big hand and um I have uh uh recently

received a this A letter a packet from uh Young young man named Thomas stiff I think he's currently a a second year in uh Fon college and he's talking uh somebody from 400 years ago uh in in in in Greece and this paper is talking about the education system back then and how we could still use um their way of learning in today's

classroom setting and and I was quite surprised and the heading says education is not a spectator's sport he like to see yeah I see the an awesome teacher nodding your head uh that inviting students getting involved uh as a a breeding a lab instead of just a classroom uh with passing papers to memorize words or do numbers but actually he's encouraging

people to think and come up with the solutions together and and this is an awesome thought and I'd like to have Dr Enfield uh I'm going to give this uh paperwork to Dr Enfield and I'd like to have Dr anfield give this to a curriculum committee and really uh have them read over that um it's a young man

but I think he's a very wise young man came from our system and who really cares about our classroom and and education so thank you uh Mr Thomas s for sending us uh your heart touching uh paperwork uh talks about our new education that that has been there 400 years ago that we could go revisit thank you

again um thank you for speakers coming out tonight to speak but I'd like to say it again as a broken record our job my job is to provide the best education possible for all the students in ch Valley Unified School District that is number one and number two invite and appreciate parental involvement in students education whether people would have different

opinions about parental rights it's doesn't matter for students sake and their general education sake we need parental support that's what I believe that's what I have seen in last 16 years it really helps our students to achieve uh to reach their goals partnering with their classroom teachers is a must and also another important aspect is that we need to teach our children to

respect our teachers and staff members if they don't learn how to respect Elders from the school setting they would have more difficult time going outside and Learn by themselves it gets long way for them to progress if they would know how to build Rel relationship with people especially with seniors in ranks their peers Etc so this is a great

uh uh practice area where students can could interact with teachers and and staffs and learn how to respect and listen and also our job as a districtwide is to provide as as speakers have mentioned a safe learning environment for all students that is our job if students are not being safe they can't learn I have gone to

a anniversary for Hope centers it's been a 10 years already and person who's been running for last 10 years that operation told me that lately the number of onh house students has been increased to 1,600 students and she was so passionate of serving the students of providing foods and and place to sleep and things that students need to

to survive and that's in Chino Valley so if unless the kids don't feel safe they could not learn so as an adult we need to do our best to to have that concern in our hearts all the time and so I like to really thank Our Hope Center and I'd like to thank our cabinet members who's been supporting

the Hope Center for last 16 years and and because of that I think we have been chosen to be the favorite School District in the region and I told our president Sonia sha she is famous and many people like her and especially parents they feel that their voices being represented you could shake your head but I am outside all the time and list

listening to people whoever and and that's what I hear we have different opinions that is okay but I'm just bringing you the facts there are good news to to a lot of people and some are bad news to a lot of people people but this is the facts this is what I gather but regardless i' like to thank

everyone who comes to our meeting because you guys do care for our education and and with that all all of our kids are being cared in our school district so thank you thank you Mr n Mr minroe uh thank you first of all I just want to thank Leia fellows for her years of service so you will be missed um one

thing that's always impressed me about you is no matter who I talk to or what level that I talk to there's always a positive impact that you've made on every level that you've been here so that speaks volumes of your work ethic and your character and the impact you've had on this District so really thank you thank you thank you for what you've done

for our community I wish you all the best in retirement it really is a good thing um and uh I hope you enjoy it for many years to come and and Dabble here and there with uh your other your interests and and uh when be busy when you want to be so thank you um I do want to just

mention real quick um you can see sometimes when you have an opposing vote kind of people look at what's going on um I will continue to oppose contracts that are are that have the same Clause that I've spoken out before and that opposing vote isn't any negative as far as the assistant superintendent um I believe that he is

the right person for this job I do not like some of the writing of of that contract specifically in the severance package we continue to offer the highest most um most most amount of time that we can by law and then add additional to that by giving WR notices and things that um I think is completely unnecessary specifically in this job

market if you I think it's the easiest job market for teachers right now specifically in California you can pretty much if you're a good teacher go anywhere and kind of shop yourself around very easily and that we uh continue to to be a little bit frivilous in this and offering Severance packages over $300,000 should we ask somebody to leave

us our district so um I just want to say that nothing against our our uh appointed superintendent and coming on uh just the wording of the contract and I will continue to vote no on contracts with that wording thank you thank you Mr Cruz Miss fos yeah no ignore Mr no no Consulting you know you've always been sweet very

consistent with your emotions and and I I respect that tremendously but you know in these times what's best now is to listen to your heart your liver to love your organs that have kept you alive this long and to appreciate what it means to be human really so that is the opportunity now you have for your body so I hope I could

reach that I hope so and and also um you know from from May 24th through June 6th June 20th I've done over 95 miles and it's true what Mr no says she's a Powerhouse literally okay literally and also I you know I attended the whole program I attended late late when when everything was gone and um we were talking and and she

was saying something stating that the undocumented um families were were struggling really bad because they have no support and it really upsetted me because when my mom came when the family came they were sponsored and and I I don't understand why I said where's the sponsorship of of the undocumented people that are coming they're just being out there defending themselves and

it's it's really tough because the kids are suffering and so we we were we were talking and you're correct it is it is quite devastating what's happening in these times where there's poverty and so forth so um yeah that that really upset me and Dr Enfield you know that recognition that you received is a Real Testament to the

value of our communities place on the work everyone is doing here at Chino value USD for students thank you to everyone who took time from their busy days to recognize CVUSD teachers classified staff and administrators and vote them as your favorite we here at CVC got it right and the people have let us know that so well done Dr anfield

thank you that's it thank you Mr Cruz superintendent Dr anfield no I want to thank you for all of your service to this District I'm excited for you uh for that you're able to retire uh you will be deeply deeply missed I'm very sad that you will not be part of our cabinet um I've always enjoyed working with you um Mrs fellows you

worked in the District 34 years correct I think 33 okay I thought it was almost 34 okay that's right 34 but 33 in our district um as a teacher and the one thing that stands out to me the most and I think this pretty much captures you um over the years um former students will come back and you introduce me to them

and a number of them you've introduced me to and every time they always have this big smile on their face and you can see how much they care about you and the impact that you've made on their life um it's a amazing because they all have that same look and you can see that they're extremely appreciative of having

you as a teacher and you can see the love that they have from you and the energy that's that's coming off of them because of how you impacted them and that is that that every every single time that that stands out because that's the impact you have made in this District on the students and the parents and you make that connections with kids

and you I I know you served as an assistant uh principal as a principal you continued to make that impact when you came downtown as a director in HR as assistant soup in HR going over to the curriculum side of the house as assistant soup and then back over to HR in all of those roles you continue to

impact our students because of the the amount of love that you have for kids uh it showed in the work that you have given to this District it shows from people who as Mr Monroe uh touched on it everybody you come into contact they have nothing but positivity to say to you and and and people who don't know her she has always

been positive she's the most positive person on my cabinet she's the most positive person in that energy you just feed off of it and I will absolutely miss the smile um your the work ethic that you bring uh to the district and your your loyal loyal Y and commitment uh to this District shine through um absolutely um the district got it right

when they hired you and thank you very much Leia for for your services and I wish you the best thank you thank you and I also Echo a lot of what Dr infield Although our time together has been short and I feel kind of jipped off for not having you as long as um everybody else got too I love how

you bring people together it doesn't matter what the situation is you're always positive um we can be under some really stressful moments and you have a way of just letting us feel like we're heard and we're and you're there for us so thank you for that um you're definitely going to be missed we have until July 1st right so we still have

are you're leaving this week is it sooner dang you're getting off even earlier okay well I'm going to come visit come pay you a visit before before you leave even if it's tomorrow um but we love you and we thank we're thankful for you and um I know Cruz is letting you off the hook with not being a

consultant but you know you have my vote when that comes around so thank you for everything I appreciate everything that you do and then I also do want to clarify because I do appreciate our counselors and I I what I don't appreciate is those very same people that are spreading um misinformation and lies themselves when they twist and they take things out of

context when I was talking about children committing suicide and going home if you listen to the podcast I was talking about how the state is saying and these very counselors that have said this are opposing parental notification for the kids that they're stating have the highest rate of suicide so to me when you're not letting the parents know that

you're also putting that kid willingly and knowingly whether you like it or not in a dangerous space without letting their parents know you go on record you claim that these kids have a high rate of suicide I'm in agreement with you they need their parents they need help and if their parents don't want to help we need to get them the help that they

deserve and need I agree with that 100% but to take a bit out of a video and try to manipulate it is just what has been happening for the last four years the last year and a half that I've been a board member as well it's been even more aggressively that way and I think it saddens me that we have people in our

very own District that know the intent and they've heard the whole entire video yet they still continue to push lies and manipulate the public because they don't think that the public is going to go look at an entire video to find out the context that to me is heartbreaking because you have people over in the unions both unions you have um our very

own teachers and teachers around California opposing parents to be notified on something that is a sensitive issue and I don't think that any District or any government official has any right over that child more than their parents their parents have a constitutional right and what saddens me is they know by talking to these kids that these kids are or could be suicidal

yet they don't want to tell the parents when it comes to them wanting to change their sex that is bizarre to me and to sit there and just po point out two seconds of a video without the context of it and trying to manipulate the public when they knew what was going on in that video because they search for

anything I say to manipulate like how they do that to me is saddens me that we have people in our own community that do that but it's okay because I think you know we've shown that regardless of the manipulation and the lies um you know we we as parents I was like many of you at that Podium a year and a

half ago I was here I made it my full-time job to be involved that I didn't get paid but the point was even our attorney general Merrick garland that he labeled parents as domestic terrorists for wanting a voice at the table when they were pushing sexual curriculum so to me it is just part of the agenda I think we're becoming

experts at being able to battle the lies and the misinformation and I'm proud of our community for doing that that award shows everything and more I know some people look at it as not a big deal but that's people outside the district that even voted for that that's outside voices that say Chino is the best and that's what I hear when I go all over

trying to fight for our kids in California look you can't just focus on one District because the state is manipulating all the districts and unless you attack the giant up at top we're not going to get anywhere we're not going to have the Leia fellows the Grace Parks the Sandra Chens the uh Dr enfields the Amanda the teachers amandas

the counselor all the all of you guys here you know wasting not not wasting spending your time here you know being involved our great security if we don't clear the noise from Sacramento and the political cartel and I'll say that over and over our district does an amazing job they do a beautiful job and my job is to make sure they can do their job

that is I take that very seriously obviously we don't get paid we get a severance or whatever it's called a stien if you guys want to know I think by the at taxes taken out I'm very clear with the public I get 700 and something dollars a month when I go to get on news to give us a voice I don't get paid no

one pays for me I don't I'm not I don't have a booking agent nothing I do it because I give our community a voice so we can have normal day-to-day people that will be able to understand what's being said instead of feeding the lies that are coming from these other people in the cartel of Sacramento so I just

want to clear the record for that it saddens me but I think what is the most beautiful part is we're not deterred by the opposition in their Lies We won't be we're not going to stop we know what our district is capable of we know what California is capable of no matter what they try to tie our hands up next week

I'm going on Wednesday away from my children away from my family without getting paid to go testify in front of the State Assembly members and in the education committee on ab1 1955 that is a bill that was brought upon because districts like ours stood up and say no parents do have a right to be notified and you don't get to pick and choose

government what they get to be notified on the parents have a constitutional right and it does not matter what what situation it involves parents have a right no parent that I've ever spoken to except maybe I've heard some stories that parents say oh I don't care do whatever you want that is true that happens and that's when they give their

rights away to you know be able to have government take over at that point but no parent that I've come in contact ever says you know what I'm dropping my kids off at school today do with what you want with them I don't care don't tell me what happens they misbehave they do great things I don't want to know that

is bizarre that's weird and for our government to pick and choose where they want to notify a parent I will stand in between that because that is harming kids that is absolutely harming kids our district does an amazing job at bringing families together in hard situations I've seen it over and over look 12 notifications I think it was that went

out within the short period of time of the injunction you had some parents that say they knew some parents that said that they didn't really care and then you had some parents that um were glad that our district offered C free counseling and services to them that to me is beautiful that shows that you are offering the parent the chance they they

have the right remember the Constitution says that and for me to have to go next Wednesday to go testify when I know the vote is going to probably pass and our governor is going to sign away parents constitutional rights and I know this is going to hit probably Supreme court because we will not give up the fight

but that sickens me to my stomach to know that we are taking that stance as a state and look most of us can run free or do whatever we want or plan our next vacation most of us that are fighting the good fight have not been able to do that and I think that is a testament to

we are going to stand strong we're going to allow the beautiful Leia fellows the Grace Parks the Sandra Chens our beautiful teachers our amazing principles our great teachers our great staff um our you know Mr Cur you sit on that side so I often miss you it's not on purpose I promise but you know what I'm saying is we need to have a voice a

and we're going to continue to have a voice as long as you have a board majority that stands up and look Chino made them upset they are bringing a law after and I'll say this over and over they're bringing a a bill forward to make it law to not notify the parents but remember we were sued on an illegal

policy guys don't REM don't forget that it's common sense when you think about that that is bizarre look little old Chino little other a couple other districts stood in the Gap and said no they pissed off the giant we're going to take down the giant because we all know how that story goes and we're going to give parents a right we're going to

allow our good staff to do what they want to do what they can do and what they have poured their hearts into doing which is give kids a great education free from any ideologies I don't want ideologies brought into the classroom I want our kids to learn Reading Writing Math and how to have critical thinking skills that's what I was taught in

school that's what should be taught now our district does an amazing job at doing that because despite the noise our test scores are raising while other districts are failing and I think that is a beautiful Testament on why we stand strong as a community and we will continue to stand strong and I will be in front of any of you if someone tries

to harm you for doing that you had my promise from the beginning you had my promise to the end and with that I adjourned this regular Board of Education meeting at 7 11 p.m.
