Tonight, we recogni recognize two trailblazers, athletes whose grit, determination, and skill have etched their names into the athletic history. Please join me in celebrating Chino High School's Natalie Blanco and Ariel Middleton. I'm not sure. I know it's summer. Do we

have them here tonight? Yes, we do. Awesome. Do we have both or just Ariel? Okay, awesome. Okay, perfect. Our first student is Natalie Blanco. Natalie is a sophomore sensation in girls wrestling who stunned the state by capturing the 155 pound championship as the number seven seed. The new the lowest seed to claim a state title this year. Natalie powered through the

bracket with unstoppable momentum, pinning the number two seed in the semi-finals and dominating the championship match with four takedowns and a major decision victory. But her achievement goes beyond the stats. Natalie became the first female wrestling in program history to win a state title and the school's first state wrestling champion of any kind since 1999. Let's hear it for Natalie with a round

of applause, please. And before we present um certificates next, we welcome another Chino High School star. Um how do you say your name? Are okay. Arel Middleton Arel is a standout parro track and field student athlete. She is a true example of resilience, determination and strength. As a parathlete, she continues to break barriers and inspire others with her

relentless spirit. Her passion for sports and her unwavering dedication make her a powerful force. Are's journey a testament to the power of overcoming challenges and pushing beyond limits. Please join me for a round of applause to acknowledge Arel Middleton, an athlete who shows us all that with heart and talent, anything is possible. [Applause] And if you guys wouldn't mind, we would

non-aggenda item. Hello, my name is Dracon. I use he she pronouns. I am a student worker at Mount San Antonio College aka Mount Sack Pride Center and I am the current president of the Mount Sack Pride Club. I came today to talk about the safety and well-being of the LGBTQIA students here at the Chino Valley Unified School District.

has come to my attention about the incidents and policies that inflict harm against the students who identify as queer and or LGBT plus. One such well-known incident had involved the president of the gender and sexuality alliance club at Ruben S. Allayala High School being verbally and physically assaulted on campus during and after the school's club rush event

due to their identity. There's also the fact that the school district has adopted the policy that forcefully students to their parents or legal guardians if they identify as transgender in in school. It's things like this that create a hostile environment for the career youth which invokes fear for their safety, causes disrespect from other students and staff alike and inhibits them from doing their

best in school. I want to take a moment to talk about the things that we do at Madsac that hold that hold safe spaces and support and celebrate career life. Firstly, the pride center is a physical space where students can study and socialize between classes and they host events such as rainbow rack where we donate and give out or get free gender

affirming clothing. And at the park club, we have big events such as our spring pride balls and gallas where folks can dress up in fashions to express and celebrate themselves. All these events allow students to have a safe space where they can proudly and feel their authentic selves, which allow them to perform better in college and grow as people,

especially with the resources the center provides. What I want to say today is that these opportunities to provide a safe and inclusive space does not have to start at college. School should be a safe place of learning, not one of violence and fear. Education should be the main goal at an educational institution. Instead of enforcing policies and culture that encourages

harmed queer youth, there should be policies and curriculum that encourages safe conversations that go into the diverse intersections of all kinds of life, accountability, and allow students to feel like their authentic selves. A student can thrive in in aos Hi, my name is Casey Guzman. I use she her pronouns. I'm here to address the discrimination a queer student

experienced. Shaw has responded with the quote as the article reads in advocate. Um, the district strives to create an environment where all students can thrive and also reads if there are specific instances where this student where this has not been the case, they will be investigated and addressed. However, the mother of the student says that her child has no action taken when

her child faces consistent discrimination throughout the entire year. Alongside this, the same student has had no violated no contact order, meaning that they were put in direct harm with a notice of the student with no notice of the student being told that this would happen. This same this same student has faced back in has faced a back injury from an anti-LGBTQ assault

and discrimination from his span teacher after rumors of the child being in a relationship. However, other heterosexual members of this band did not face the same treatment. With all this in mind and going on for a whole year, I have two questions for you. My first one is, what action has been taken for the students um to ensure their

safety? I would also like to ask, what proactive action will you plan to take for the student currently? I'd like to remind everybody you need to line up um in the middle and if you're not there after she announces your name and the topic, the time automatically starts. So, I don't want you to lose any of your time. Um so, please just line up

and be prepared to get up after she announces your name and title. Amanda Swagger non-aggenda item. A truck pulled up to the border gate. My parents, or soon to be parents, along with their immediate family, squeezed through a hole in a gate. As they went through the hole in the gate, they dodged a green and white vehicle that

was after them. Soon, after running through the desert for approximately a mile or so, was picked up by what we affectionately call a coyote, an illegal person who brought people over to their place. My mother Lopez settled in Chino where as a day laborer she met my father an immigrant from Germany during the post-war era who met my mother.

My mom at that time we got her legal green card status, legal resident as we say and I was proud of her when about 10 years later she became a legal citizen legal citizen. But even today, 40 years later, my family still is in fear of what immigration can do. Just this last week, part of my extended

family was stopped by immigration enforcement even though they were legal and were put in detention for a short amount of time. We can't forget that Chino is a widely distributed Hispanic population. As the as the protests go on, whether it's the No Kings protest, the anti-ICE protest, or whatever happens, Amanda, really quick, I'll pause the time. Does

this have anything to do with the jurisdiction of the board? Okay. I just want to make sure it's going to circle back to that. Thank you. So as we get into that point, I asked the board as a board members, you guys have a voice. Please utilize that voice to set up systems to help our immigrant population.

We already have low ADA and the reality is that it's members of the board. You guys have the ability to through your pulpit actually create action that will allow us to actually do something for those population just like we do for other forms. Please show your support for our immigrant population. non-aggenda item. Eddie Lamina, Title N. I know the Rialto rule is why our

previous coaches got let go. However, is this really benefiting our student athletes and uh girls basketball team to have a coach who constantly misses practice and who does no coaching whatsoever. The current boys coach runs everything while the supposed student uh supposed head coach Maxwell stands quiet and does nothing. Uh we want a coach that we know will support and empower

our female student athletes. Uh these current coaches favor the boys and give them every benefit that our girls do not. We ask the board to look into these Title N concerns and reinstate our previous coaching staffs. Thank you. [Applause] Andrea Lamarena, non-aggenda item. Andrea Lamarena, Don Girls basketball title N. While we gave our new coaches staff a fair

opportunity, we have increasingly felt that we are not being treated as equals. It is disheartening to res to to experience what appears to be favoritism towards the boys program, especially considering that our new assistant coach comes from that side. This has led to noticeable imbalance in how we are supported and prioritized. We have consistently been set aside to side

courts during practice and even have to use older or boys basketballs while the boys team have access to newer and better equipment. This inconsistency affects not just our training equality but also our sense of value as athletes. Last year's coaching staff uplifted us. They respected us as individuals and as athletes, ensuring us ensuring we always felt valued and supported. We felt

empowered, heard, and equal if not prioritized in our program. We are not asking for a special treatment. We are asking for fairness and respect. We ask that the district takes this matter seriously and works with us to ensure that all athletes, regardless of gender, receive the support they deserve. Thank you. Amanda Swagger. Action item 2B1. Now I guess I get to introduce uh

introduce you. Thank you Dr. Enfield board. Thank you Sonia Shaw and the rest of you here. I'm here to get a little technical tonight. The budget is coming up for a vote tonight and I had a chance before the meeting to look at through the budget. The numbers seem a little scary for those who are not interested in these

things. Almost $400 million to run our district. We have an almost $40 million deficit this year, just over our reserve fund. But what scares me is what's not in the budget. Our president has dictated that we might lose ELLL funding and partial SNAP funding in our next year, correlating to almost $60 million. What are we going to do to support our

students if those EL funds go away? Not saying they are, but are we do we have a plan here as a district to support those students? I understand it's a political hotbed topic, but we have to make sure we're supporting those students. Also, are there any other ways we can save money? The reality is that we are

in deficit spending almost $40 million last year and $35 million this year. Do we need to spend almost $60 million on technology? I appreciate the fact that this is part of the thing, but I want everyone to think about deeply because it wasn't a presentation last week. Where is that money going? Do we need to be in a $35 million deficit coming up

soon? And finally, just as a notation for everyone in the audience, the school board has to vote on their own race. It's not like we can give them the race. They need to vote on their actual race. Now 5% eh how about cola 2.3%. Eh they don't make very much money anyway. You know they they work for their money.

Thank you guys. Have a great evening. Chloe non-aggenda item. Good evening members of the board. My name is Chloe and I'm an incoming junior at Ayella High School. As of today, the Illaella girls water polo program remains without a coach. Despite showing up to board meetings, writing letters, and respectfully asking for help, it feels like our voices are once again being

dismissed. There is no urgency, no action, no acknowledgement of how deeply this affects us. We are proud student athletes of the Chino Valley Unified School District. You teach us to lead, advocate, and be change makers. And we believe that starts here with everyone in this room. I don't want to look back at my time at Ayella and remember it as

a chapter where our voices were silenced and our program was ignored. Every athlete and every parent in our program has signed a petition asking for our coaches to be reinstated. So I ask you, why are our voices being ignored? Why won't administration meet with us? You have the power to restore not just our coaches, but our hope. Please show us

that the students you rep represent truly matter. Thank you. Lisa G. Action item 2C5. Miss Shaw, how nice for you to stay for my speech tonight. I'd like to point out that for the past five times I've spoken at these board meetings, Miss Shaw has walked out. Again, it's a sign of how cowardly you are when someone else has

the microphone and disagrees with your discriminatory and unlawful policies. But I won't stop speaking up for the teachers, students, and families of this community. So, I guess I'll have to get used to often seeing an empty chair on the deis. Actually, I kind of prefer it. Moving on to the action item. Tonight, this board is considering yet another 5%

raise for themselves. This is the fourth time in 18 months that you have put your hands out asking for more money for a job that is supposed to be about public service. And let's not forget the generous health insurance you all receive for free. Yes, I know that some requests are automatic when staff and faculty are getting increases, but it

doesn't mean you have to vote in favor of it, as you always do, unlike many of the previous boards that have opted not to accept increases to their own pay. But since you are likely considering voting in favor of this increase, may I ask each of you to explain what you have accomplished to improve education for our students during that time. The only

thing this board has done is target marginalized students, further divide our community, and spend our tax dollars recklessly. Oh, and since you've reduced the number of schoolboard meetings by almost 50%, I would think the number of hours you're putting in has decreased by at least that much, even though it means that our staff and faculty now have to

wait a month to get even the most basic requests approved. Seriously, how do you justify asking for even one more scent? Thank you. Kieran non-aggenda item. Good evening members of the board. My name is Kieran WQ Queen and this is now my third time standing before you. We still have no coaches. We've shown up. We've sent emails and we've been met

with silence. No one has reached out. No one has listened to the athletes directly impacted. So, I'm asking, what do we need to do? If we are doing something wrong, tell us. But please stop ignoring us. We've submitted a petition with 100% support. Every returning athlete, every parent, all calling for our coaches to be reinstated. That is not common. That is

not something you can dismiss. These coaches built a program based on trust, respect, and integrity. No complaints, no drama, just athletes who felt proud to represent their school. Now our program is in limbo. Not because of performance, but because of politics. We are not asking for favors. We are asking for fairness and to be heard. Please bring back our coaches, protect our

program, and start listening to the athletes who are showing up again and again because we are fighting for what's right. Thank you. Ava, non-aggenda item. Good evening, members of the board and district leadership. Thank you for the opportunity to speak. I come before you once again to respectfully and urgently ask for the reinstatement of our girls water polo coaches. You may not feel the

pressure to fill this position now because we are technically a winter sport, but competitive athletes train year round. Summer is actually one of the most critical times for us because this is when we condition, build team chemistry, and prepare for a successful season, all without the burdens of our academic rigor. We cannot do this without leadership, without coaches. The

athletes that you see during the season is a product of the training that our coaches pour into us during summer and the offseason. We've reached out. We've asked to be heard. Our administration has ignored us. We refused. They refused to meet with us, students, parents, coaches, despite our repeated attempts to collaborate. Our own CVUSD curriculum teaches us to work together, to

advocate, to lead, and that is exactly what we're doing right now. Every athlete and every parent in the girls water polo program has signed a petition asking for our coaches to be reinstated. Our program stands unified. We're asking, if this isn't enough, then what is? Please show us our voices matter. Restore the spirit, pride, and fairness that should be that should define CVUSD

athletics. Don't turn your back on the students that you are here to serve. Thank you for your time. Mandar non-aggenda item. Hi, good evening. This is now the third time coming before you about the Ayala High School girls water polo program. Tonight, we bring a petition signed by 100% of all returning athletes along with alumni and parents, all standing

together to fight for the reinstatement of the coaching staff. In high school sports, it's far more common to hear complaints about coaching. But this is not the case. This is the opposite. These coaches have built more than just a team. They've created a culture rooted in trust, fairness, and support. This is a staff where no athlete has feared

retaliation. every player feels genuinely supported. The kind of environment, this kind of environment is rare and it deserves to be protected. Unfortunately, the way the situation has been handled by the district has sent the opposite message. Unsubstantiated claims have been allowed to damage the reputation of an entire program. While documented violations like receiving funds for an unauthorized USA water polo

tournament at Chino's high school are ignored without consequences. It feels like con connections protect you while integrity gets you punished. This coaching staff isn't being pushed out because of performance or misconduct. It's politics, retaliation, and personal agendas. And now there's talk of replacing them with someone selected for convenience, someone with little experience in water polo rather than

doing what's best for these athletes. We are not asking for special treatment. We are not asking for We are asking for fairness, for transparency, for a decision that puts students first. Please reinstate the staff, protect this program, and honor the voices of the athletes who built it. Thank you. Paul, non-aggenda item. Hello, board. Uh, longtime listener, first time talker.

Um, last February when it was announced that Coach Hammond had resigned, it was communicated to us there would be no resistance to him and his staff returning that fall. However, since then, we've only encountered resistance when we've asked about his status and still have not received a legitimate reason as to why he has not been reconsidered. At the beginning of the

coaching search, the booster asked to provide a list of suitable coaching candidates with the understanding that these names would not be blasted black backlisted from consideration. To date, all seven names that were listed received declined letters without interviews. I'm not certain why the parents, athletes, and boosters have been completely pushed out of this process, but the exclusion has not gone

unnoticed. We're just over a month away from the start of the school year, and our athletes should be well into the summer scrimmages in preparation for the new season. Instead, we are behind other teams in our league, and onboarding a new coach of the new pro program would essentially guarantee a loss season. Our girls water polar team became league

champions for the first time in 19 years and were positioned to repeat. The right thing needs to be done and coachman and staff need to be reinstated. Thank you. Ethan Sarmento non-aggenda item. Good evening board members. I'm Ethan Serento and I'm a rising senior who's been part of the Bulldogs water polo team since I started high school and a

part of the varsity team since sophomore year. With this, it's safe to say that this program has been very important to me for all of high school so far. As of right now, we do not have a coach, meaning we cannot train, cannot prepare, and cannot build a team for the future of this program. There are already

several qualified and talented individuals who've applied for this position. And all I am asking is that a coach be hired as soon as possible so we can move our team forward. Given my time in the team, it's disheartening to see that the program as I know it is still without the leadership, training, and guidance it needs. Thank you.

Daniel Sento non-aggenda item. Good evening board. My name is Daniel Santanto and I'm here to uh present to you a posit a petition for your review and for the minutes. Uh on behalf of the Ayala boys water polo team. Uh Ayala High School has a tradition of excellence in water polo. Our boys program achieved a historic CIF victory

in 2023. This achievement was a result of incredible dedication of our student athletes in partnership with their dedicated coaching staff. However, as of today, the boys water polo program is still without a head coach. This lack of leadership jeopardizes the team's ability to prepare for the upcoming season. It creates in uncertainty for our athletes and hinders their summer

training and development. uh the undersigned athletes, parents and alumni of our community uh of our community of our community uh are assign signing this and I submit this for your review. We understand that a pool of qualified candidates has already applied for this vital role and we ask you to prioritize the finalization of this hiring process to provide our program with the

stability and leadership necessary for success. Our student athletes are ready to work and they deserve the opportunity to build upon their proud legacy. Thank you very much, Rebecca. Information item. Hi, Rebecca Miner and I'm here for a non-aggenda item. Um, I'm here to support uh Ruben Ayala getting a water polo coach return. It saddens me to see

in my line of work that so many children are here on a night of summer where they should be enjoying their summer. Madame President, you mentioned earlier that the that the audience should leave because it is their summer, but weeks after weeks, our kids are showing up because they thrive in this program and they have thrived under the coaches for

the past three years that I can say that I've watched my son grow. Personally, I didn't prepare anything, but I'm here to speak because I want you to know that my son's here and the brotherhood that he has developed with these boys is unmatched. They study together, they play together, they hang out together, they're there to support each other,

to do the right thing. And it and and to that I I can only atone it to seeing what we did as parents, but the coaches that they have around them. And it's a blessing that the water polo coaches that they have had that I can feel trusted with them. And I know that I'm not alone with that. I know that the

parents that are here and the students that are here week after week that we have these board meetings and expressing that they want their coaches returned to them. When Hammond resigned, he wasn't terminated. He resigned. And we have to show our kids that they can have second chances. But when you don't let someone come back who's qualified and who is

wanted and desired, you're just showing our children that when they resign for something or they have to leave something that they don't have a chance again. They're young and they're impressionable. So, I hope that you can see that and in this and bring our coaches back. And if you look at their resumes, they're impeccable. They have the skills. They have the talent.

Jackie Cortez This is my continued reminder that these meetings are still not largely translated to Spanish despite the district being largely Latino. I am here to bring up an issue that I brought up to Karen from China who just walked away back in January and now I'm bringing up the whole community. Back in January when the ICE rates began, I brought up

my concerns to Shaw about what actions the school board and the district were going to take to protect our students from these ICE rates. And she said that it wasn't an issue. Well, it is an issue now. There is board policy about protecting students in our classroom from ICE rates. But my question to the board and especially to the

superintendent are number one, are all district employees, especially office personnel, going to be trained on these policies? And number two, are these policies going to be enforced? We have a large Latino and Asian population and our parents and students deserve peace of mind while in school. Silence is complicity because this district has not said anything while other districts

have. So, I'll be looking out towards the end of this meeting to see if any of you address this issue and I hope this community pays attention to whether you do and holds you accountable if you don't. As someone who actually is in the classroom, unlike Miss Shaw, I am telling you that my students and their families are very much terrified of

what's going on. Just this past weekend during the No King's Pro protest in Chino Hills, a woman named Monica Mars went viral for harassing peaceful protesters and Monica follows Sonia Shaw on Instagram and I have the receipt to prove it. I'm not saying they know each other, but you both have hateful speech and harassing people in common. Your

supporters are people like Monica, Proud Boys, and Nazi wannabes. There's no place in this community for any of you. Jackie Cortez, action item 2C5. Since the circus of our school board has been playing around with their first names at the beginning of every school board meeting, I'm going to join in as well. Introducing Nal Laes Cervantes can't pick aside Monroe Karen from Chino

Shaw or no Backbone Shaw. Are you okay? Nazi sympathizer Cruz doesn't even know what's going on. Naw and only remembers she's Latina when it is convenient to her. Patty or Peppermint Patty or Patty Cakes as Karen from Chino called her at the last meeting. You do not deserve your race. What have you done for this district? I want to clear one thing up. Miss Shaw

continues to lie about what happens in this district. We have not been putting the outing policy in place anymore. I want her to say in public that we have been continuing to do this because that is a lie. That is defying the state. You do not deserve a 5% raise. Because let's be real, what have you actually done?

None of the current board members deserve a penny for all of the negativity and lawsuits you have brought to this district by passing your useless resolutions. You should donate your race instead to this district. Or how about buy some school supplies for the teachers to cover the ongoing legal battles that you have gotten us in because proono

means free. We've heard that lie before with the prayer lawsuit, but yet the district has over a million dollars of legal fees to date for this school year. All of you up there are complacent in all of the evil that has resulted from this board. And none of you deserve a raise. You claim to want to protect

girls in sports, but I'm hearing a lot of girls complaining here about the inequities that happen in this district. Schools. We have nearly 50 member school districts and local education agencies across the country, including some of the largest schools districts in our country. I'm here at the request of students, teachers, faculty, parents, and the larger community who time and time again have reached out to us to be here to show our support for them and to

ensure that this board follows the letter of the law as it pertains to young people in schools. We know that LGBTQ plus young people are especially vulnerable not because of who they are, but because of people like you and boards like yours who spew hateful messages towards them. When the le second leading cause of death of 10 to

24 year olds of all identities is suicide, we should absolutely understand that this is a public health crisis. and the rhetoric that your board continues to spew, the uh messages that you continue to share, the resolutions you continue to pass have grave impacts not just on LGBTQ plus young people, but on every single young person in this

community who sees that, who hears that, and thinks that it's okay for elected leaders to show them that that is how our community treats them. So, please, as we go into the summer, as we go into the next school year, consider that impact. Consider the fact that you could single-handedly be responsible for the death of a young person because of that

rhetoric. Or consider that the fact that LGBTQ plus people, specifically youth who have one affirming adult in their life, have a decreased risk of dying by suicide by over 40%. Which one do you want to be? When the 988 lifeline is losing support for organizations like the Trevor Project, you have a role to play in this community and you have a

responsibility to every constituent, not just the cisgender and straight ones. Thank you. [Applause] We're now on to changes and deletions. Paya, are there any changes or deletions? And real quick, I just want to uh address the Ayala student athletes and parents. Definitely appreciate you guys being here and I want you to know we definitely see and hear you. We know

you've been here, you know, the last few times and appreciate that. Uh you know, uh when I was sitting over there either in the audience or watching schoolboard me, uh meetings, you know, I would always wonder too, gosh, how come this isn't being done or that being done? Then when you sit over here, you realize things are being done and taking place,

but sometimes it's a little too early to release something. But I just want you guys to know that things are in the works. Nothing's being ignored. We know how important is to have a coach, how important those sports are to making sure you guys are participating. One of the things that I think keeps students so engaged is being involved in

athletics, clubs, or different things on campus. We definitely want that for you, and we don't want to see you guys lacking in that area. So, please continue to show up because on your end, you don't know what's taking place yet. But just know you're not being ignored. We do see you and we do hear you. And just another thing really quick, one of

the reasons that I got into this was to make sure that we are definitely representing every student, every parent out there, and our teachers at every single school. So, we again, we may not agree on everything, but I guarantee you those are priorities and they always will be. Thank you. Thank you Mr. Cvantes. Mr. N. Yes. Um I would like to thank uh all the

students uh who had come to our meeting especially from Ayala High School uh water polo team and I would like to ask Dr. Enfield to uh look into the matter uh talk to our staffs and do what's best for the interest of our students. tonight stopping me and talking to me about uh her concern at uh Danlugo High School. Um, I just get excited when I see students u coming and sharing their their concerns and and their dreams about their future. Um, it's just exciting because that's how much you care about um your school and your sports and and your friends. So, thank you. appreciate

you coming and um having your parent support is also awesome and I just hope that everyone would have a safe summer and continue to achieve your goals in your life in your education. So, she you know, she lived in a nunnery for from 8 to 16 in Mexico, Guala, Mexico. When she was 17, she was sponsored from a family in San Diego that included her mother, also

her mother, and um they followed the immigration policies during the 50s. I say this briefly is that that the rep. Normous remark about eyes getting out of California were wrong as they polarized our students and implied that the federal government should surrender to these riots or unrest. I think that was out of out of bounds what she was saying. That's pretty much

what I want to say. And finally, June 10th is Title N month. Thank you. I like your June 10th comment. Okay, Dr. Enfield. Being that all the board members have talked about the Ayala issue, I'm not going to go into it publicly, but I will be following up with Diana Yaroy um probably after this meeting regarding uh

the progress that's going on with with the water polo over at Yala. Thank you, Dr. Enfield. Um and I appreciate you doing that. I just want to make sure that we're doing all we can to get the kids back in the water and get them ongoing. So, um we definitely are on it. We're not ignoring you. I

promise you there's a process that we have to abide by too. But we hear your we hear your voices and we appreciate you coming and trust me as a mother I want nothing more than you to be in that pool and not be in these meetings. I don't want kids to have to show up. So we are working on something. You're not

being ignored and Dr. Enfield is going to check on seeing how we can get you back in that water as soon as possible. Okay. Um so again, thank you for coming and thank you for your time and thank you for voicing your concerns. We appreciate you. We value you. we fight for you and we're not ignoring you by

any means. And again, um I said it a little bit earlier, but the girls from Don Lugo, um can we also look into that? I know that I've asked you behind the scenes, but if we can just look into that as well. Yeah, the father is going to be emailing me and we'll be getting and I'll be getting in touch with the

It also enacts I mean a lot of people stand at the podium but if you don't put something in writing it really doesn't start the process so much unless we were to ask

for followup behind the scene which does happen but please just always follow up in writing. I mean I've learned that from day one and it's just a it's a good practice to have and then that way you can hold the the elected officials accountable as well right at the end of the day if we have staff that's saying

that they want to look into it and they're not then again we can go back and say hey guys we asked you to look into it. What's happening? um they're really good at looking into it. I'm I'm not throwing them under the bus. There's a lot of processes, a lot of things that the public isn't purviewed to sometimes

and sometimes we're not even perview depending on privacy issues. I just want you guys to know that. And we do value people's privacy and and our staff does a really good job at um you know, keeping things private and when regards to students or even employees, there's some stuff that we don't get to know because of that reason and we have to

respect that and respect the process. So, just know we're on it. Um, but with that said, um, in regards to Title 9, it is a huge thing. I mean, I'm fighting with CIF right now, and I could say this because I'm fighting as a board member. We have the authority, um, under the resolutions and the action items that we

passed. But I think it's really silly when you see resolutions, those take a public stand, and but it also puts the the the people that are in elected in those positions in a position to fight for what, you know, they believe is right. And right now, CIF won't even publicly come out and state that they will vote against or for a resolution

that just says they're trying to find a solution to make sure our female athletes um have fairness in their own sports. So, Friday, we are going in there. There's a a petition that we're signing and we're going to serve them some some other documents and keep them and hold them accountable. I always say be relentless because these people are

relentless at fighting against common sense. Um, we see things even like with what people said at different organizations, um, you know, that are fighting to, in my opinion, harm kids. Our district does a really good job, but we're also against a really big machine in Sacramento that, um, unfortunately has the majority of legislators that continue to make it hard for teachers

and staff to do their work, but more importantly for parents to be involved in their own children's education and to trust the system. Um while we can only do so much here in Chino with a five member um board that really truly does give the authority to our staff to do what's best for um kids and families. Um

everything that we do, you can see they just make a law with the super majority of insanity up there to stop us from doing what is best for the people that we were elected to serve. Um with that said, we'll continue to fight the good fight. Yes, it gets hard, but again, parents, be relentless. Show up. This is

perfect. you're fighting for what you believe is right for your students. I would never ever discourage anybody to do that. What I do um not like and what I'll fight against is third party interest and unions and all these other corporations that make a ton of money while our kids suffer. So, with that said, we'll continue to fight the good

fight here in Chino. We buckle down. We have a 5-0 that's supported by the majority of the community. I appreciate everything that you guys are doing. Um continue to be a voice. continue to do your part because we all have something to do in this big fight against stuff that doesn't make sense and people who create fear into our students lives that

doesn't need to be created. Boys are boys, girls are girls and they were made beautiful in their bodies and anybody that tells them differently should be held criminally responsible for lying to a child and destroying their life for the rest of their life.
