Jenny Smith please lead us in the pledge. To the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, and liberty and justice for all. Okay, we're now on to student recognition. our favorite. It's my privilege to be able to recognize a group of outstanding high school students who participated in the 2020
2022 25 American Legion California Boys and Girls State program. This program is a unique opportunity for students to develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in government and civic engagement. Students and principal, if you can please join me at the mic. Uh good evening everyone. My name's Gio Kim and along with my friends here, we had the opportunity to attend California
boys and girls state and obviously girl state as well. And if you guys aren't aware of the program, it's a week-long program that focuses around government and how to run a government. And all of us here, we campaigned uh we uh spoke and we got the chance to just um see what our California state government looks like. and we had an opportunity of
a lifetime. >> Awesome. principles? Would you like to share? Okay. Well, it's awesome. And we also want to thank the American Legion for um always taking our kids under their wings and presenting this program um and opening up the American Legion to present you guys with awards, too. and we just are so uh very very proud of
you. It's my privilege to present the certificates to these remarkable students in recognition of the participation of the 2025 Legion California's Boys and Girls um program. And we'll go ahead and present certificates. And if you guys may, we can take a picture afterwards. We have London Gibbs. Congratulations. Yes. Thank you. And we have, correct me if I'm wrong,
Jim. [Applause] And we have Trista De. And we have Chan, and we have Vanessa Mia. [Applause] And we have Pria for this giving us the opportunity. If we can just take a picture with you guys, that would be amazing. And thank you for participating in this and really appreciate it. [Applause] Thank you guys in again as they're leaving to go do
homework and all the other fun stuff. Can we give them one more round of applause? And of course, as I mentioned before, a special thank you to our local American Legion, Chino Post 299, for their support and recommending these students and also um supporting them in this process. We appreciate them dearly. They do amazing things over there. Okay, now
that they're all gone, we can continue. Um next, we'll hear a staff report on the implementation and impact of positive behavior interventions and support, the framework designed to promote a positive and supportive school environment. and student representative Phoenix Kim. Our report to the board this evening is on positive behavioral interventions and supports, also known as PBIS. PBIS is one key element within the
district's LCAP goal 2 to support our students connectedness and engagement to school by setting clear social and behavioral expectations and directly teaching these to our students. It is our goal to create a positive and predictable learning environment for all of our students. In our framework for PBIS, there is a systematic approach to teaching schoolwide expectations just like we
would teach any academic skill. At the core of this approach is a shared understanding of what appropriate behaviors look like and are reinforced throughout the school. Another essential component of the PBIS framework is a system for communicating progress to ensure everyone is engaged and informed. As a result, PBIS helps to create a positive teaching and learning environment where students and staff can
both thrive together. You can see on this slide how the PBIS framework is put into action across all settings of the school. Expectations for behavior are clearly defined and fall under three core values. Be respectful, be responsible, and be safe. And are tailored to different environments from classrooms to hallways and even the restrooms. By teaching these expectations consistently, we create a
predictable and positive environment where students are supported throughout the day so they can so they can focus on their learning. Another important part of the implementation is having a system for communicating progress. Here we see examples from our schools of the structured methods for communicating behavioral progress through the use of majors and minors. This approach helps us to respond to
student behavior consistently while also providing meaningful feedback. Minors refer to lower level behaviors that can be addressed within the classroom, while majors refer to more serious or repeated behaviors that may require administrative involvement. With established methods at each site for tracking and communicating progress, we ensure consistency and transparency that are aligned to schoolwide expectations to guide district-wide PBIS
implementation and our continuous cycle of improvement. We have a district leadership team and school level teams who work hand in hand. The district leadership team made up of our superintendent, district and school administrators and the ACT president is needed to lead the assessment and planning process to support our schools. The goal of the team is to increase
capacity in three areas. Training capacity refers to our ability to self assess staff development needs. Coaching capacity refers to our ability to organize staff and resources to assist with schoolwide implementation. And evaluation capacity refers to our ability to establish measurable outcomes, evaluate our progress, and modify our plans based on evaluations. The school teams equally play an important part in advancing the work and
informs the evaluation, training, and coaching recommendations for the district leadership team. Dr. Katrina Gomez, our director of health services and child development, who leads our PBIS implementation, will provide greater insight into our systems work and the positive impact PBIS has had on our district and with our students. Every site has a PBIS school team and while the team composition may vary,
here is a sample representation of what who would be on a team. The school team has an important role in shaping the school culture and climate. They support all school staff to implement schoolwide expectations. They analyze the effect of schoolwide expectations and determine areas of need to promote positive school culture and climate. And another important role they play is coordinating
school and community activities to enhance understanding of PBIS. To support school sites with PBIS implementation, the MTSSB team comprised of district staff and intervention counselors provide the following annual trainings and support meetings. These include PBIS overviews for teachers, PBIS network trainings, PBIS system refresher trainings for all tiers, site support meetings, trainings to support staff in creating safe learning
environments for all students, and PBIS recognition application support offered toward the end of each school year. To measure the impact of PBIS implementation on student outcomes, we look at multiple indicators. With regard to district-wide student attendance, you'll see that across the last three years, PBIS implementation helped contribute to an increase in student attendance across years and higher attendance in comparison to the
state's attendance percentages. With suspensions, you'll see that our district's percentage of student suspensions is much lower in comparison to the overall state suspension percentages. Another indicator used to measure the impact of PBIS implementation on student outcomes are student responses from the annual K12 insight survey. These results surrounding our students perceptions of safety and belonging provide a comparison of student responses across
the last three school years highlighting an increase in student responses over time. These high percentages of student responses spotlight our district's commitment to providing a positive learning environment for all students and exemplify the dedication our educators have toward ensuring our students feel safe both physically and emotionally across all settings within the school campus. For state recognition, there are seven
criteria points that the state evaluates to determine whether a school achieves platinum, which is the highest level, gold, silver, or bronze recognition. First are the TFI scores. This score reveals how well a school has put in systems of support to establish a positive school culture. The other criteria include the current school year climate and culture data such as the K12
insight survey, attendance data, and office referrals. counseling supports, action plan, documentation, interventions for students, evidence of academic impact, and classroom walkthroughs for monitoring evidence of posted classroom expectations and routines that support positive behavior. Each year, our school sites are recognized for their PBIS implementation at the county PBIS showcase ceremony. And this year, our district is looking forward to proudly celebrating 100% of
our schools for receiving statewide recognition at the platinum level. Four years ago, the district celebrated our first and only school to receive platinum recognition. And since then, our educators have worked incredibly hard to thrive with implementation of PBIS, increasing from one to now all 34 schools implementing PBIS at the highest level. and with so much pride. This
remarkable achievement is attributed to the tremendous dedication and concerted efforts made by our educators to continuously improve student outcomes. Chino Valley is never short of rising to the top. Our schools and students thrive because of our community's investment in our schools. Our staff that are committed beyond excellence, our outstanding students who show up to our schools that we have the privilege to
serve, and our board's commitment to promoting a safe and thriving learning environment for all students with PBIS implementation. Out of 939 school districts, 345 unified school districts, and 10,636 schools in California, CDUSD is tied with one other school district from number one in the state of unified school districts for highest percentage of platinum recognized schools. And across the entire county of San
Frernardino, our district is ranked number one for the most schools awarded platinum recognition, making history as the first district in our county to receive platinum recognition at every one of its schools. We are CBUSD proud. And this concludes our report to the board on PBIS. >> Awesome. Thank you, [Applause] board members. If you have any comments or questions, um, you may push the
button and I'll key you in. Go ahead, Mr. Cruz. Your mic should be on. >> I noticed Dr. Park, the first I think slide two had a mural from um, Rolling, Rolling Ridge, and you know, it states, you know, be respectful, be responsible, and be safe. And we notice that that's at the tier one level. But when we look
at all these others, it is at the tier one level. And that implies that the the success is happening at the classroom with the teacher providing, you know, behavioral expectations right there in the forefront, not even going to the next level, tier two and tier three, because just just by looking at these, you could tell that tier two and tier
three are just right on the edge. So the teachers, Dr. Dr. Enfield are doing a fantastic job at the tier one level >> and and through all this. You have a ADA going up and and and in the I guess later on we're going to find out wonderful things that are occurring at the school district in academics. PBIS
is the one of the contributing factors why our schools so successful. So um it is really amazing what teachers are doing at that level at the tier one meeting all those expectations and not only that it's helping our diverse students it's it's it's remarkably making them excel so well done good [Applause] >> thank you Mr. Cruz, I do want to
acknowledge with the PBIS framework, it entails the entire village. So, it's the administrator to the teacher to all of the classified staff that are unified on the campus to provide this level of support and instruction to our students. So again, with the unified effort of every single person at the school, we've been a we've been able to accomplish a
safe and safe and supportive environment that's allowed our students to also thrive academically. So we thank um all of our partners for this work. >> Yes, I'd like to piggy back off of both of you. Um so I do want to acknowledge that and thank you. And um I always say like when these programs come about just
being a parent before you have your little concerns about things but to see the way that you guys implement things a lot differently than where maybe some others um including the state have different kinds of views on these. You guys are doing it the right way and having a daughter in our school district. Um I know Dr. Enfeld and I
when we used to uh do the site vits in the beginning of the time he would always tell me about you know rewarding good behavior etc. And I have to say um as a having a high school student and one of our teachers and I will not say his name out because but it's a good thing um he rewards them with treats and
food and it's great because it keeps them you know their attention and he's it makes it exciting and instead of you know sometimes being a typical teenager where you might just doze off or so he's keeping them very active and I appreciate him going the extra mile and doing that. And I just wanted to point that out because it's those little
things that, you know, everybody puts their part and their heart into it and it makes a difference in our kids' lives. So, I just wanted to share that with you. I I I definitely encourage that. And us parents as uh of high schoolers oftentimes our donations uh as parents go down. Just maybe consider donating some things to your high school
teachers because uh elementary I think you know we a lot of us at least myself were very active in donating. It's it's very apparent in my daughter's classes that some of those things would probably be welcomed and appreciated as well. But thank you for everybody's hard work and ensuring that our kids are feeling safe and supportive. I love seeing every year
that when you guys survey the kids, they are saying and the numbers are trending upwards and being big increments, too. And I think that's really important that you're providing that. So, thank you because we always say all schools and all classrooms should be safe for every child. So, thank you again. >> Thank you. >> Go ahead, Mr. Cruz.
>> It's 80% That's how the children feel their safety at the school district. Thank you. >> And now we're on to our comments from our student representative, Mr. Phoenix. >> Good evening, board president Shaw, members of the board, Superintendent Enfield, and distinguished guests. At Ayala, students have prepared for Battle of the Bone, their rivalry game with themed spirit days and posters across
campus to encourage participation. Leadership has also started planning for their next rally, focusing on creating new ways to engage students and build school spirit. Chino's leadership team recently announced their homecoming theme, Lost in Wonderland. Preparations are currently underway for decorations, spirit activities, and event logistics to bring the theme to life during homecoming week. Additionally, they won the rivalry game battle for the milk
can. So, congrats to them. At Don Lugo, leadership students have been organ or organizing the next rally, which will take place outdoors on the football field. The theme is Halloween monsters, and the team is developing creative ideas to make it both festive and engaging. They're also working on how to best set up the outdoor space, like planning decorations, coordinating
performances, and ensuring that the whole student body can participate. Um, for Chin Hills High School, I'd like to give a shout out to our amazing representatives that went to Boys and Girls State, uh, Gio, Chisa, and Avery. So, congrats to them. Um, currently, we've actually had a very successful month. We saw incredible school spirit leading up to Battle of the Bone where
tickets actually sold out in one minute online. Um, we're also proud to share that the our team kept the bone home this year with a winning score of 49 to zero. And our band program also saw very great success in their own competition hosted the day after at Ayala High School uh where they took first place among many schools. Um in addition,
we've celebrated many senior nights recognizing our athletes in water polo, girls flag football, volleyball, and soon football and band next week. Um throughout October, we highlighted Hispanic Heritage Month with games and activities held during lunch to celebrate and honor our diverse community. Looking ahead, we are currently in plans for a fall festival that will bring together clubs and
programs to host games, food booths, and activities for students. And we are also actually preparing for another theme called Depop Day, which promotes sustainability through reusing and recycling clothing with all leftover items being donated. Thank you. >> Thank you very much, Phoenix. And yes, Battle of the Bones was awesome to see both teams have um great sportsmanship
after and and parents and everybody just being there to enjoy the game. So, yes. Okay, we're now on to comments from employee representatives. We have Steven Frasier from ACT. [Applause] >> Hi, good evening. Um first I want to acknowledge the work of our educators. Recently, I attended our teaching and learning task force and um looking at the testing data, it's clear our
students show consistent improvement year after year and as Dr. Enfield shared at the meeting, not many districts can make this claim. So, I wanted to take time to celebrate this work. I now want to discuss the recent PERB ruling. Um there seems to be some misunderstanding. On June 19th, 2025, the public employment relations board ruled that the district violated state
labor law in in two major ways. by banning most classroom flags through uh board policy 6115 and by adopting parental notification policies without bargaining. I quote from the PERB decision, "The district is found to have violated Eerra by unilaterally adopting and maintaining the flag display and unilaterally adopting the parental notification policy and its replacement." per ordered the district to rescend both
policies, cease and desist, and post notices acknowledging the violations. This is not a victory for the district. This is a clear legal win for our educators. Yes, the district filed an appeal, but I want to be clear, an appeal does not erase the decision or suspend the decision. Per process simply just moves on to the next stage.
Despite all this, ACT believes cooperation is still possible. We're ready to work with the district, but that partnership must start with acknowledging the truth and respecting the law and most importantly respecting associated Chino teachers. I quote, "The district is ordered to cease and desist from interfering with employees rights to bargaining good faith with ACT before adopting similar policies. Please, let's
stop wasting resources on appeals and focus on our shared mission, serving the students with honesty, collaboration, and respect. Thank you. Have a good night. >> Thank you. Point of information, Dr. Granfield. In regards to that, wasn't there a policy that was passed in July? [Applause] >> Yes, there was a policy passed and updated to the policy in July.
>> So, there's no change. The flags remain the same. California flag, United States flag, and military flags, and any other flags don't belong in the classroom. Correct. >> That's correct. >> Thank you very much, Dr. Enfield. >> There's a will. There's a way. Nanny CSA. Good evening, President Shaw, board members, superintendent in Enfield, cabinet, staff, and community. Um, this
week is National School Lunch Week. Nutrition Services um serves over 4,000 breakfastes daily, 13,000 lunches daily. Um this week they had a little celebration for at the elementary school to celebrate National School Lunch Week with uh tropical fruit, dumplings, uh waffle fries, and I guess uh Friday tomorrow is going to have chocolate chip cookies. um wanted to also notify the board that
right now are we have approximately 140 um nutrition services workers which brings us close to preandemic numbers. So along with nutrition services and human resources um that hard work of getting them getting through the process is um working. Um, but I wanted to thank all those involved, not just the nutrition site staff, but the office staff um, warehouse, the ones that
deliver those foods. Um, it it truly does take all of us. Um, at the last board meeting, I invited the board members and cabinet to shadow a few classified members. Mr. Cruz and, uh, Dr. Park were able to make it this year. Mr. Cruz um, went with transportation on a morning route. I have to share that the morning routes start at I believe
5:45. So, thank you for waking up that early. I also heard that you also went to the Carbon Canyon route. So, which is an experience even just driving in a regular vehicle, but I applaud you, Mr. Cruz, for going in a bus. Um, and then Dr. Park went over to the media center to work alongside uh Sophia Placencia,
which is our district uh media center operations technician. And from what I heard, it was an eyeopening experience. Thank you both for taking the time out to job to shadow some of the classified members. With that, I'd like to extend that invitation again to the board members and cabinet. If your schedule allows, please reach out and we can plan
it. Um, recently Chino 102 was challenged to a friendly game of softball by one of our neighboring districts. Rialto 203 and Chino 102 will be having a friendly softball game at Chino High School on November 8th. I believe I left you guys a flyer. Um, Chino will be using it as a fundraiser for one of our Chino 102 members who is
in need of assistance. Refreshments and snacks will be available. And finally, um, I have some sad news to share. Um, Chino Valley Unified School District has lost one of our own. Michael Torres, a custodian at Don Lugo, custodian one from Don Lugo, recently lost his battle with cancer. He passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday. Fun funeral
arrangements are currently being planned. Thank you. >> Thank you, Danny. And we'll close in his honor and memory and service. And now we're on to public comments. Patricia, how many request to speak? 24. Thank you. Two minutes. Board bylaw 9323 meeting conduct establishes the guidelines and the following process applies. Speakers will be called in the order you registered on the electronic
request to speak device. Names are displayed on the monitors. Please watch for your name to appear. Line up at the designated numbers behind the mic. Once the recording secretary announces the first name, request to speak will no longer be accepted. Mr. Cruz, please explain the public comment guidelines. >> Go ahead. >> Uh thank you real quick. Uh thanks for
everybody being here. Just a quick reminder to maintain the quorum. We've had a couple issues where speakers were addressing, you know, members of the public, the audience. Let's have civil discourse and let's make sure we're address we'll take all your questions, your comments. That's what we're here for. But please, let's let's maintain the quorum. Thank you. >> Thank you, Mr. Cervantes.
Mr. Cruz, mic's on. Speakers, you have two minutes to address the board. You cannot donate your time, one person at the mic at a time. If you read on behalf of an absent person, that will be considered your time. Begin comments when the clock starts. Please refer to board policy 1312.1 for the procedure regarding complaints against an employee.
And lastly, speakers may not approach the dasis any time. The board is in session. Please give any materials you wish distributed to the board to the recording secretary. >> The first speaker is my 58bwgmail.com. >> Good evening board, Dr. Enfield, cabinet, and especially our new school board member, Mr. Sha. I wish I welcome you to the dis and I'd like to tell you
guys a quick little story this evening. For those of you who don't know, my name is Amanda Swagger. I'm a 19-year educator here in the district and I want to tell a little story about my introduction to education and in more importantly what I learned from that and what I can bring to you from that situation. I'll keep things short. After
about five years of education, I was making a a choice that many educators tend to do. stay in the profession or go into the workforce. I joined a program called PAR peer assistance and review where I worked with a mentor teacher to improve my practice as an educator. And I learned something very important there. We all have the ability to influence someone in
our lives. As teachers, we have the ability to influence over 150 young minds. But it doesn't end there. We can as parents, we can we can influence our children. As teachers, we can influence even more. And our board has been blessed with the ability to influence even more than that. I I I asked the board, what can we do with
that influence from your disr What is your plan for your role here on the board? You've been gifted an amazing opportunity. I I really hope that you're able to take some of those great ideas that you have and bring them to our community because you can make just as big of an influence as just about anyone else can here on
the board. Finally, I want to quickly uh recognize our the rival game with Chino Hills and Ayala. While the Bulldogs ran away from the field being trailed by some Huskys, they both had a played a great game and I was really really really proud to see everyone with their great sportsman and conduct. Have a great evening. Byron Gonzalez
here. And I also, one thing that I do not appreciate though is the fact that uh I see some negative comments coming from um the Chino Champion to about you guys. We elected you for a purpose, a specific purpose, and it's to get rid of uh evil within our school. You guys are educators uh of our students. You guys
enforce that. Um um I appreciate you standing up for what the truth and what is right. I respect you for understanding or articulating the fact that boys are boys and can never be girls and girls are girls and can never be boys. So why is this statement that uh why does this statement bring controversy? The reason is because we
have many people in power uh that want to enforce a lie using legislation. They want to impose boys that simply selfidentify as boys as in as girl in girls um and and put them in girls spaces in spaces such as sports in locker rooms, spas, restrooms, bathrooms, and even prisons. Gavin Newsome, Rob Bont, Scott Weiner, Jerry Brown or Gary Brown when they had
the opportunity oppo to oppose these destructive laws such as SB132 and AB 1266, they not only turned a blind eye when when the consequences happen, but they are the ones who signed them into law and enforced them. Furthermore, we not only support you for speaking about these detestable in enforceable things that are being enforced in our schools, but we
specifically elected you to oppose these and state what you're stating. So, thank you and I appreciate it. >> Amanda Swagger, >> good evening. Again, I'm going to keep this really short. Unfortunately, this is extremely technical. You might notice I have an information item that I brought to Dr. Enfield on the agenda. In the past couple of meetings, we've seen
the dark side of public participation at many of our meetings. The Brown Act provides guidelines that allow us to have decorum in our meetings. And I'm all for free speech. I'm all for First Amendment rights to come to our board and to say what's on your mind. But it's not fair to bring others that can't be here to defend themselves, who can't
actually be here to state their mind or to rebuttle things that are going on. Also, many people don't quite understand the rules that Brown Act all applies for these situations. The information item I brought is to provide guidance and input to the board for a potential action item along the lines of providing clarity to us as a
organization in hoping to clarify some of the rules that the Brown Act along with board and ed code bring to us. The first one is simple. It clarifies that President Shaw or our presiding officer can actually bring a conversation back when it strays beyond the realms of our board. Pretty obvious example would be when an individual speaks of some something
that's not under the control of the board. The third clarifies that it's not proper for an individual to put our district in legal liability for allowing conversation that defames or otherwise creates trauma with someone who's not at the meeting. Again, the information item is just that, a point for discussion. Whether the board chooses to bring these up in this form or others, I appreciate
the board taking the opportunity to think about those legal words that I put down on paper and think about can we do a better job of informing those of the rules of our [Applause] >> Good evening. Before I start my clock, I have a special accommodation request. I'd been informed that I had three minutes. I had two topics, but I
combined them. May I have an additional additional minute under the circumstances? I think I can clear it up in 230, but three minutes would be just fine. >> Put her name in twice. >> You would have had to put your name in twice when for an is an agenda item. >> No, it's not agenda. then you would only
have your two minutes. Like you you would have an additional time if you spoke on an agenda item and a non-aggenda item. You would get two minutes for each of those items, but you can't we can't extend the time because we do it for you. We'd have to do it for everybody, unfortunately. Sorry. >> I'll try to get through it in two
minutes. Okay. >> Adjust the mic. >> And I always recommend if it's something that the board needs to know, this goes to everybody. Send an email. Put it in writing. Um that way if you don't finish, it's always good to follow it up in an email anyways. That way we have it and there's record of it. >> Okay. Thank you. All right, I'll proceed
then. Good evening. My name is Laura Dawson. I'm the mother of a freshman football athlete at Ruben Esola. I'm here tonight to bring attention to a particular My name is Laura Dawson. I'm the mother of a freshman football athlete at Ruben Esola. I'm here tonight to bring attention to a particular area that I feels the district and school sites need
to come together and find some sort of policy and procedures to put in place to help certain group of kids, particularly regarding supervision and supports to assist this group of kids to protect their eligibility for extracurricular activities when they're exhibiting issues with their grades and protect their transcripts from inaccurate permanent grades that could affect their future. My son has ADHD and he's an
excellent athlete, but he was made ineligible due to practice to not being able to obtain the grades at the six week mark. This was a result of an IEP non-compliance issue where amendments were not made in 10 time before he started high school and IA failed to hold the IEP meeting at the 10 until the 10-week mark. The clock had started
ticking last year in 8th grade when the IEP amendment was not added before his teacher went off contract. This is a huge error and adver adversely affected my son for the entire sum summer and bled into the new year. Um despite my pleas for help to get the IEP right away, it went unanswered until it was too late. These are assigned grades in
the absence of proper accommodations. These are not his earned grades. There's a huge gap between the sped department and all other academic and extracurricular functions, including grades, transcripts, and eligibility. There's no department or person that can swiftly act when sped students fail due to IEP non-compliance or other reasons in general. sports and extracurricular activities, especially football in my
son's case, is a lifeline for them and motivates them to excel in areas where their life, including education, the athletic outlet and them coupled with a strategic education plan and the proper supports could lead to success in those fields of athletics and extracurricular activities. Some of these kids know now that that sport or activity is something they want to pursue in life and lead to
college careers or uh college or careers as they should never lose eligibility due to academic weakness. I'm here today to plea with the district and these challenges and afford collaborative space to discuss these issues with possib I think it's really good and great to see men of the cloth come here with no other agenda but to love and protect our
community because lately I have not been seeing that within our community. Lately, I've been seeing neighbors attacking each other. that it is normalized to watch someone confused as to why the world seems to be coming down against them and to meet their gesture of goodwill with mockery and pity that has been normalized within our community. And I don't blame my
community. I blame leadership because our leadership have been tasked with loving and protecting this community, loving and protecting children. And the president of that p of of of the of the people who are supposed to be protecting our community uses that power to go to a child's event to mock them, to pity them, and to dehumanize them. And she is so proud of that that
she posted on social media so that the world can see that our community tears down children instead of lifts them up. That is not okay at all for a bunch of likes from vitriolic souls who would rather see this community torn apart than put together. Now you guys have spent a lot of money on frivolous lawsuits instead of
education when without a shadow of a doubt education leads to less criminality and more wealth outcomes. We watched as Colorado was met with political silence. And if we've been watching social media, we understand that thoughts and prayers are great. They are amazing. But they do not stop bullets from going through people's neck. God bless. >> Felix Melendez.
[Applause] >> Good evening, President Shaw, Superintendent Enfield, cabinet board members. Um, I was here a month ago and thought that was kind of the end of things. I I shared some highlights and opinions or insights and opinions and had no intention of returning. Unfortunately, I learned that a speaker that followed me that night called me out by name and engaged in slander. I
emailed each of you to create an awareness about this concern. And I appreciate the two responses that I received. One of them read uh one paragraph, the board and cabinet should be the only people that the public should be addressing during public comments. I appreciate that. Succinct done. The other response was a little bit longer. Uh Miss Shaw, yours was five
paragraphs and it said, "The board's responsibilities are limited to setting education policy and ensuring the delivery of quality education to students." Agreed. We are not a mediating body for personal disputes or grievances between community members. I wasn't here a month ago with a grievance or engaged in any problem with a community member. I got dragged into that.
Um, another piece, no board policy grants authority to investigate or take action on these types of allegations raised in your cons in your message. I wasn't alleging anything. I was stating fact. It's video. I'm not making allegations or dis disparaging um board's responsibility is remain focused on student achievement, not to intervene in disputes between individuals. It's not what I asked you to do. You will not
further uh spend valuable time acting as a referee as I appeared to be requesting. It's not what I requested. I just brought it as an awareness. But then you mentioned in your letter that you have seen the video and I had some responsibility to that. So apparently you have investigated, you have intervened and you have involved yourself.
Jackie Cortez. [Applause] >> I am here to continue asking the board to do something about the communities they represent, specifically the Latino community that makes up the majority of the school where I work. This board continues to not translate these meetings. They continue to not put out a statement about how they would handle ICE on a campus because they keep using
the excuse that immigration is political. But I don't see what is political about keeping our students safe and protecting our community. I thought the board was interested in protecting students and listening to parents. And if you're not hearing this from parents personally, that is because they don't trust you. And why would they? You probably celebrate Taco Tuesday and enjoy a good margarita. I
hear a bunch of you love to go to a certain Mexican restaurant on the regular. But when it comes to protecting my people and doing something positive for us, you turn a blind eye. If you refuse to protect the Latino community, then you should not be able to benefit from the community. Stay away from our food and go back to your unseasoned
chicken. Instead of focusing on actual issues, you're obsessed with pushing your Christian nationalist agenda and suing over praying before the schoolboard meeting, which by the way, everyone should know they lost again. I truly want to know why you are so obsessed with pretending to be Christian when you don't actually follow Jesus Christ's teachings. There's a Bible verse that reminds me of you. It is Mark
7:6 and it is a passage in the Bible where Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah who said, "These people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me." The verse highlights the theme of hypocrisy, pointing out that people who perform religious acts without genuine faith are inauthentic in their worship. That's what you all are, hypocrites. And
the biggest hypocrite behind me is Mama Shaw. You claim to love Jesus yet worship a bunch of false idols like the politicians you're inviting to your prayer summit. Stop hiding behind religion to showcase your hate. Jesus would not approve. Mama Shaw and Mia's a mama shaw. Mia's mama shot. Point of order. Can you call point of order?
[Applause] Is the mic on? Can you restart my time since obviously they were disrupting because they're rude. Um, yeah, me as Mama Shaw, I am very concerned that that's what's in the classroom with your guys' kids. And I am so glad that you guys are aware of what's going on because that's racist. That's hate against Christians. That is disgusting.
And it makes me want to vomit up those tacos that I had earlier. And the fact that she's coming up here talking like that continuously. Parents, wake up. your board was voted in continuously regardless of the harassment and the and the hate that's spewed by them because people in our community want protection from people like that in the classroom.
And and as far as the flag situation with our union, thank you for responding to the lawsuits, the frivolous lawsuits that they keep suing you guys for because of what people voted you guys in for, including myself. It is absolutely horrifying that the CTA, ACT, and NEA keep suing you guys for wanting to get flags out of the classroom that don't
belong there. They're suing you guys. You're not suing them. You're responding to a lawsuit. Who's wasting whose taxpayer dollars because they are hellbent on pushing a sexual flag in the classroom that doesn't belong there? They're education rooms. Let them be that. It's freaking weird. It's weird that they're going as as union reps into the classrooms and to
their people saying, "We won. We won." When they don't even pay attention to the meetings I in July, you guys passed another policy that overwrites any policy. We have three per cases that you guys are being sued for. Even your response to teachers doing inappropriate things the way that you react to it and you try to write them up,
you're getting sued for it. What about teachers that try to make kids dress in front of each other do inappropriate things to kids and then you respond to them and then you get written up for them? Thank you. Thank you for standing up to that. And I am so glad they come here and expose themselves. Look it.
They keep coughing because they >> Miguel Navar. Miguel Navar. [Applause] >> I think you're confusing the teachers with the one. Next time you're out. >> That's your first warning. Anybody else first warning? You're out the next one. I'm not tolerating this. You want to have your hate, have it outside of this boardroom. This is the business of the
board because we're doing things for children. Have a nice day. You may leave now. >> Uh good evening um board members. Thank you for the opportunity to be here first and foremost for everything you do for our community. Uh my name is Sergeant Navar. I'm the station commander at the Chino Hills Army Career Center. I control the Chino Hills area as well as
Chino itself. Um so please I will love the opportunity to always um partner with you all and treat us as a servant to you all. We are here for your community. We're here for your students. We're here for your parents. We're here for anything we absolutely can do to further opportunities for uh betterment of the future. And as a community that's
what we're here for today like to present an opportunity called pays which is partnership and your success. It is a partnership between uh local governments employers within the army itself. It is designed to assist exiting uh military members from active duty service or even those who are currently a reser in our local area to be able to continue the
actual um service to the community and not only our nation moving forward. Uh within the last year within our company footprint that has five local offices, we enlisted roughly 600 individuals into our army and armor reserve itself. roughly 30 to 45% of those will not uh will not reinlist or stay in the army. This opportunity program does not change
any employment structure and requirement and eligibility for individual um employment opportunities. It s essentially just gives them an opportunity to be able to have an interview and continue to serve the community and come right back to it. I do have some pamphlets here. Um, I will pass out of here momentarily, but again, it's just it's a win-win. It truly is.
Um, you're going to get highly qualified individuals with discipline, respect, honor, and they absolutely will be there on time and do their job. So, pending, any questions, that's all I have. Thank you. >> Thank you. Thank you for your service and we would love the stuff there. Thank you again. >> Thank you for your service. >> Natalie Cooney,
>> thank you for your service, sir. Um, Miss Shaw, you just attacked a community member. Just want to make sure. and you guys did not interrupt that. Good evening. I'm speaking as the equity and human rights chair for associated chain of teachers. Let me ask directly, what has this board done to promote educational excellence and equality. What literacy programs have you funded?
How have you supported students with special needs? Promoted cultural inclusion. Instead of answering these questions, we've heard public attacks on teachers. Example A, claims that our students can't do read and can't do math. That is misleading and wrong. Here are the facts. You're quoting the CAST scores. And the CAST scores fall in four categories. The first one being meeting
these standards, excelling the standards, nearly met and not met the standards. These learning is standards are not measures of literacy. And in fact over you're only analyzing two of them being successful meeting and exceeding when in fact over 70% of the students are approaching meeting or exceeding the standards. California has the most English language learner students and immigrant population of any
state. And our teachers work tirelessly to meet their needs. And when we are asked for professional development, we are denied. And you guys benefit on our work, gaining accolades and awards on our behalf. So again, I asked, what is this board actually doing for support students? Here as a union, this is what we've done. Let me tell you, we've
hosted various cultural events including DA demetos, also Lunar New Year, and we held a black success student panel. Then we have special education workshops and fought for every single child. While this board has chosen politics over people, you're accusing teachers of filing baseless lawsuits and then you lose in court. Now, where you are appealing, wasting tax money. A natural
consequence of making a policy that is against the law is being sued. worse. Your rhetoric is creating a toxic environment. A student was physically assaulted. That is fruits of your labor. And you're when this is Jacob Butch. [Applause] >> Good evening, Chino Valley Unified School District board members. My name is Reverend Dr. Jacob Bukaltz. And I come here this evening representing over
30 Christian clergy and faith leaders who have students and staff from the Chino Valley Unified School District in their church communities. I know that oftent times decisions by this board are used and made using the language of our shared Christian faith. And so in the spirit of civil, peaceful, constructive discourse that I think everyone in our country craves, I come here to give
voice to our shared desire to show that there are so many faithful biblebelieving, Jesusfollowing, committed faith communities that are simultaneously LGBTQ plus affirming precisely because of our faith. And in the name and teachings of Jesus, we so desire that these LGBTQ plus students feel safe in the classroom. President Shaw, I love that you express that the goal of the
board is for all students to feel safe. And so I have with me copies of two letters for everyone. one is signed by 30 Christian leaders, the other by 32 interfaith faith leaders um to show you this evening um that express why we feel that there are policy decisions by this board that do not create a safe
classroom environment for LGBTQ plus students. So I'm going to read the first part and subsequent speakers will help me continue with this letter. So to the Chino Valley Unified School District board, as leaders and members of local Christian churches with members and students that live in your district, we write to you with deep concern regarding policy decisions that impact LGBTQ plus
students across your district. We believe these actions conflict with both sound educational practice and the teachings of Jesus Christ whose ministry embody love, compassion, justice, and inclusion. >> Interwoven church [Applause] on book bands and representation. The revised policies BP6163.1 and administrative regulation 1312.2 allow for the removal of instructional materials and books, particularly those containing LGBTQ plus representation.
Removing these books under the guise of morality or parental rights sends a harmful message to students who identify as LGBTQ plus that their stories, their identities, and their existence are inappropriate. The exclusion does not reflect Christ's love. It reflects fear and control. Representation in literature is not a luxury. It is essential to a student's identity, development, and sense
of belonging. Stripping queer characters and narratives from the curriculum denies students the opportunity to see themselves reflected in the stories they read. If the standard is to remove texts containing mature or complex themes, then the Bible itself would not pass such a test. Selective censorship, especially when targeting marginalized communities, is neither just nor Christlike. Sunny Gushkin [Applause]
>> on educator authority and trust. Additionally, revisions to the board policy 6163.1 centralized decision-making with the board and diminish the role of educators, those who are trained experts and work closest with students. This shift is not a neutral policy change. It communicates mistrust and paints educa educators as advisories. Scripture teach us in Ephesians 4 11-16 that teachers
are a gift to the community called to help young people grow in truth and maturity. Undermining them dishonors that calling on the no deception and notification policies. The no deception policy BP 100.1 the and notification rules like BP5010 attempt to mandate disclosure of a student's gender identity to their parents without the students consent. This is not this not only breaches
student privacy but risks serious harm to young people who may not yet be safe in or in supportive environments. Using scripture to justify a binary view of gender misses the depth and breadth of God's creation. Just as God created night and day, God also created dawn and dusk. Our creator is expansive, not limited. Throughout the Bible, name
changes mark transformation, identity, and purpose. Forcing students to hide their hide or deny their identities contradicts the very spirit of those stories and our church history. Ron Sherman [Applause] >> on trans inclusion and athletics. Resolution 2024 202563 concerning Title 9 and girls sports seeks to exclude transgender girls from participating on girls teams. Framing this as a fairness issue distorts the
values of equity and and inclusion. Jesus did not call us to divide children, but to welcome them. We affirm CIF's inclusive approach and recognize the dignity of all athletes, cisgender and transgender alike, as fully deserving of support and belonging. As people of faith, we are reminded that fairness is not sameness. It is justice root rooted in compassion.
Transgender youth face staggering levels of discrimination and exclusion, particularly in sports, where participation is often a critical part of community and self-esteem. Policies that single them out not only alienate but dehumanize. Our faith does not permit us to be bystanders to such harm. We are called to advocate for all children, especially those most vulnerable to rejection and
exclusion. Thank you. >> Bill Laws on Pride Flags and eraser of queer history, the banning of pride flags and the replacement of LGBTQ plus recognition with resolution 2024 2025-77 focused solely on women further marginalizes queer students. We support the recognition of women, but not as a means to erase others. Pride flags in LGBTQ plus history are not political
symbols. They are lifelines for students who too often feel unseen. Psalm 139 reminds all this all that people are fearfully and wonderfully made. Matthew 22:39 commands us to love our neighbor. And John 13:34 calls us to love as Christ loved us. Removing LGBTQ plus visibility contradicts these commandments and risks pushing young people away from faith altogether. It sends a message that their identities
are unwelcome. Students need to know they are seen, valued, and safe. recognized recognizing LGBT LGBTQ people in history and affirming their presence today is an act of radical Christlike love on mental health and student well-being. The mental health toll of these policies cannot be overstated. According to national studies, 39% of LGBTQ youth have seriously considered suicide. In
the past year, 66% report feelings persistent sadness and hopelessness. Yet, having even one supportive adult in their life can reduce the risk of suicide by 40%. >> Kungu Park. One second, Pat. I'm going to excuse myself for a minute. The the blasphemy is making me want to vomit. Uh, may I haven't begun yet, please? May I have my two minutes?
>> Okay. As a district that claims to care for all students, these numbers should prompt urgent reflection. Policies should promote safety and healing, not shame and silence. on SB19 and religious coercion. Finally, resolution 20242025-64, which promotes SB19 ostensibly for safe schools and places of worship, veers into religious coercion by imposing a particular faith perspective onto students. One of Christianity's core
values is free will, the ability to choose faith freely. Evangelism through force or policy is not evangelism. It's domination. It runs counter to the very model Christ gave us. Similarly, invoking religion to censor stories about love and family as seen in references to Mammud versus Taylor does not honor Christ. It silences and excludes. Sharing stories of diverse families
builds empathy, understanding, and connection. Jesus used a similar approach through the sharing of parables. We write this letter not in anger but in grief for the young people who feel erased, for the educators who feel attacked, and for our faith which we see being misused to justify harm. These policies do not reflect the love of Christ. They reflect fear, exclusion,
and control. Christ welcomed the outcast, affirmed the marginalized, and called for radical love. Jesus has always stood with those who were cast aside and would affirm queer children. We urge the Chino Valley Unified School District to do the same. We stand with LGBTQ plus students, not in spite of our faith, but because of it. In Christ's love, we implore you to
care for all the students. Thank you, >> Celeste Irwin. Celeste Irwin >> Chino Valley Unified School District Board. My name is Celeste Irwin and I want to begin by thanking the preceding speakers for their statement which I wholeheartedly support. I am a transgender woman, a lesbian, a wife, and a mother. And I am a Christian. That last one may surprise you given how
often evangelical Christians position Christianity and queerness as mutually exclusive. I was an anti-LGBTQIA plus evangelical for nearly 20 years. I know every evangelical argument against my sexuality and gender transition and I was wrong. How could I have been so wrong? I failed entirely to love my neighbor, which Jesus tells us is the highest command. I refused to listen to
the queer people who said I was hurting them. I should have listened. In a word, my problem was pride. And that is what makes it so concerning to me that this board is silencing those very voices to whom I should have listened. You should know I grew up in an environment like the one you are creating. And the fruit of that was
shame, guilt, fear, and deep psychological and spiritual damage. It's heartbreaking to me that kids in this district may experience the same. My transition is not a denial of who God made me, but rather an rather an embrace. The fruit of my transition has included joy, peace, kindness, gentleness, and love. The queer kids deserve to so much better than to have
their teachers used as spies, their sexualities, and gender identities treated like pathogens, and their presence viewed as threatening. They deserve to be loved and supported by their friends, faculty, administrators exactly as God made them. And I pray that that's what they will get. Thank you. And Jesus loves you. >> Scarlett Mesa. Scarlett Mesa. [Applause] Hi, my name is Scarlet Mesa. I'm 7 years
old in second grade. Since the beginning of school, I have been bullied by a student in my classroom to it has been 3 months and she continues to bully me and bully other students, including my teacher. I have been pinched, punched, pushed, kicked, and have witnessed the student punched my teacher and hurt my classmates. I'm very scared of the student. I don't want her
in my class anymore. I want to feel safe to go to school. [Music] I don't want her hurting me or hurting others. Thank you. I just want to feel safe going to school. [Applause] >> Alejandra, >> thank you Scarlet for coming and reading that. >> And Dr. Enfield, you guys are looking into that, correct? >> Yes. >> Okay. Thank you, Scarlet.
>> Alejandra Contas. Good evening everybody. Um, Scarlet is my daughter. I came in here uh feeling very um all kinds of different emotions to speak to everybody. After everything that I see that you guys are going through, I understand more. I feel very bad for you all. Um, I will continue to try to calm my daughter down and I just
ask you guys to please take more matter into every every child and I just don't want to hear because she's a minor or she's a certain age, she can't get, you know, certain attention cuz you guys go by age levels. I just please kindly ask you guys to please take bulliness into matter with all ages. um she should not
be coming home witnessing violence, you know, at all. And she should not be her and all the kids shouldn't be getting taught on how to evacuate the class and run. And we should not we should be getting notified. We're not getting notified as parents. How can we get notified when there's drills or evacuations, but when they're getting
they're fearing for their lives, we're not getting notified. Just please take matter into this. That's all I'm asking you for. Thank you guys for everything. I truly appreciate you all. Lisa G. Miss Shaw, at the last meeting, you criticized community members for leaving before you finish speaking, quoting scripture about the wicked fleeing while the righteous are bold as lions. That's
ironic considering you often walk off the deis when I and others come up to speak about you consistently injecting religious dogma and political propaganda into our schools. Plus, community members have every right to leave at any time. You, as an elected official, are obligated to stay and listen, even when you don't like what's being said. So, if
anyone is fleeing, it's you. And if you're going to call people wicked, evil, or demons, remember you're the one using that language, not us. We speak with facts. You rely on dehumanizing rhetoric. Speaking of scripture, you are still under a court order that prohibits prayer or Bible verses at board meetings. Just this week, a federal judge rejected your attempt to reopen
that case so you could pray during meetings again. That original lawsuit was lost nearly 10 years ago and cost this district around $300,000. And now, because you crave attention for your political ambitions, you have voted to appeal. You say your right-wing law firm is working pro bono, but they don't pay the court-ordered fees of the opposing side. So, who covers those costs? We do.
taxpayers and students who need that money in classrooms, not courtrooms. I have a simple question. If you can't do your job without praying, why not pray privately before you enter the boardroom? That way, you're not violating the Constitution or forcing taxpayers to bankroll your personal religious agenda. And since you enjoy quoting scripture, let me remind you of
one verse you seem to ignore. When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray on street corners to be seen by men. When you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your father who is unseen. Thank you, Oscar. Aila. [Applause] Wow, what a night. Um, so never never a
dull moment in Chino. Okay. Um, I'm kind of glad they brought up the per loss. I was kind of a little confused about it, but I'm kind of glad that that homeboy right here brought it up. you know, um, one of the things that that that this does is this drags the district into lawsuits, you know, when we have
teachers, when we pass policy in this district, and remember this this board right here was voted in by the community. So, so if you if you want to if you want and we banned pride flags, you know, we want American flag, California flag. So, if you want to if you want to be in a in a school district
that has open gay flags or whatever, go to LA County. You know, if you don't want to work here, work somewhere else. But in this district, this community, we're more conservative based. We we you know we we honor we honor natural uh you know natural law. We we we honor uh God and we honor God God's uh God's
direction, you know. So no male and females. I don't care who comes up talking about you know I feel this way. It doesn't matter either either the Bible says that that God made male and female. We were created in his image, right? Not their image, not they them image. So if you if you want to have uh
a sexual flag in your classroom as a teacher, go to another district. You don't got to work here. Nobody leaves you here. And we've seen already from examples two teachers, right? Crazy Jackie and Looney Natalie, right? These these two teachers, right, are the the these two teachers, right? When you you attack my It's my time. Excuse me. Right. My
Excuse me. My time. Excuse me. My time. My time. My time. Escort yourself out. >> Escort yourself. >> You have two. You have two. >> You have two. My time. >> My time, Looney. [Music] >> Community members. >> Public comment. Public comment. First amendment. >> First amendment. >> Top two members. >> Wait, what were the rules? >> What were the rules? I thought you said
you cannot attack a community. He wasn't talking about a community member. He's talking about teachers. [Music] [Applause] stupid board members. You may take a fiveinut break. Like you want Guys, I am sorry about the behavior that's going on. We're going to ask everybody to clear the room and we're not only going to allow those that are allowed to be back in back in. So, give
us about 5 to 10 minutes and we'll reconvene. So, please escort out and we're going to start the meeting back up when she leaves the room. Thank you. I now reconvene the regular board of education meeting of Chino Valley at 7:35 p.m. >> Okay. Um, thank you board. That was fun. Yeah. So, what I was talking I was
talking about the per lawsuit that are going back and forth. You know, the union suing the district because we voted you you in to protect children. So, so, so we passed a policy that that bans any kind of sexual flag in the classroom and they're mad. So, they're suing us and then we're going back and forth. So, so because the union is suing
us, the we're wasting money on that instead of doing other things with the classroom with the kids and stuff, you know. So, uh uh you know, so like I said, if you if you want to belong to a district that allows sexual flags and all that other stuff, work somewhere else, not in Chino, you know, this is a
community uh district. We believe in parental rights and we believe in having order and and and you know, we believe in male and female and we're we're Christian. So, I don't want my my child being influenced by some perversion in the classroom. So that's my whole thing. So um if if you don't like it as a teacher, go somewhere else. Thank you,
>> Oscar. Abila. >> Oh yeah, I forgot one thing to uh on the other part. The union is a cancer in the community. The union is the one that's starting all this trouble with teachers that are here. There's two particular teachers that are here. They're starting trouble, you know. They're making a big scene, you know. So So uh that's a big
cancel right now. So I I I do I do believe in defunding the department of edge and making it more more community local. So thank you for that. So um I wanted to talk about um uh I guess I guess on the agenda item for for uh the 25th year anniversary of the constitution. So um there's there's a
book here you know and and a lot of a lot of educators are here. I think they forgot to take that class 101. Uh the first amendment it says that let me let me read it. It says that um protect parental rights through the due process clause which has been interpreted by Supreme Court to include the fundamental
rights of parents to make decisions regarding the care of their custody of their of their children and their upbringing. So this is why we come when we fight for our kids because literally this this constitution uh um trumps your little per rules, your little union rules. So parents are the ultimate caretaker of their kids. So if we want
to be able to have our kids be safe, it's all right. Not your right. You can do as you want to your kids. You can homeschool them. You can put them in a in a weird school if you want to, but not in Chino and Chino. And we just heard that Chino got like platinum like number two.
>> One second. Um, are you on an agenda item? >> Yeah. For for 250. Yeah. >> 250. >> Yeah. Um, it's um >> 281 for the anniversary of the Constitution. >> Oh, the Constitution. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, you're speaking on the Constitution. Got it. >> But it involves kind of the reason why I'm here because literally that
constitution gives the parents the fundamental right of raising of their children and how they see fit. So, so they're the ones that have the ultimate authority. So, like I said, teachers are here, they forgotten that because they forgot to read this little pamphlet here. So, if you want, if somebody wants a copy of it, I'll give it to you. That
way you can kind of brush up on it. But, literally, parents are the ones that have the right over their children. When the kids go to school, they're our kids, not your kids. Um, last year, uh, teacher right here, one of the ones right here, I'm not going to name her obvious get all crazy, but one of the
ones, she wanted to literally have a fundraiser with with drag queens for students, you know? So, how how are you going to be okay, right, as a parent, right, allowing a kid? Well, parents wouldn't do that. But how you going to be a teacher and then and then try to bring minors some kind of drag queen show to raise money? That's the pervert.
You know, this is what we're dealing with. We're dealing with teachers that literally abuse our authority in the classroom. Thanks so much. God bless you. >> Dr. B. >> Good evening. So to the board, uh I'm Dr. B. So I'm a doctor of philosophy in education. Uh so my questions to you are uh which children are you doing business for?
Which children's safety are being considered when you film yourself berating them in your spare time? If you're using Christianity as an excuse for yourself, especially President Shaw, who would Jesus make fun of on social media? Who would Jesus deport? Who would Jesus say that people cannot migrate when he himself was an immigrant? to the Latinos, and I'm a Latino myself, who
refute transgender people. Our colonizers have passed on the belief that we do not exist, should not exist and are not valid. Two-spirit indigenous people have existed and continue to exist before the colonizers came to this continent hundreds of years ago. They forced our ancestors to convert to gender conformity and forced conversion to Christianity or they were killed. I
would recommend you read Asgi stories which is by native authors and scholars and I'm sorry that you have not been taught this real history and that this district specifically has failed you. The president and board focuses on who is playing what sports and what is happening in restrooms rather than focusing on gun laws when there have been over 158 school shootings this year
alone. All of the students here deserve better and the board should do much better and consider who are they actually protecting because clearly some children's lives matter much more than others. Thank you >> Damon Trentus. [Applause] >> Good morning everyone. I'd just like to comment on something that occurred within our district. I saw a video of our board president Sonia Shaw earlier
this week. There was a post that said the Associated Chino teachers in a lawsuit got our CBUSD board flag ban lifted and overruled. And Shaw here made a video saying it was misinformation. Boy, was I curious on finding out the truth. And in a few minutes, I was able to have a request for a copy of the
court case, which I will read word for word right now. So on the ruling it says that any amendments to AR6115 made on June June 15th, 2023 were rescended. And this specific amendment referred to is that no flag other than the United States of America and state of California may be displayed. So I'd like Miss Mrs. Sonia
Shaw to acknowledge this and take down her video. Furthermore, this is within the broader context of the inability of students to represent themselves in this district. Thank you, ACT. But there is an issue inherent in this entire situation because why did they have to represent us rather than us doing it ourselves? The greater issue at hand is
that this board needs to regard student voices and be more receptive because we're part of the ones that are directly impacted by these CBUSD decisions. Just as an example, I feel like I fear no students feel indoctrinated by these flags. And another one, Khloe Cabeldus, our previous student rep, she's given me permission to use her name, voted
against the book ban, whereas you all voted for it. Um, also, every single time I go up here, I'm always shaking and I'm always scared, but I do it because I feel like I need to represent myself because I feel like that is something this CVD board has not done. Thank you. >> Thank you. And I also did a point of
information earlier, but it was way too loud in the room and apparently um it wasn't heard. But in July of this year, another policy was passed in regards to the flags and it takes precedence against anything. So I'm sorry that people have misinformed you, but the current policy that is in place as of July still stands. Thank you. And we're
now on to changes and deletions. Patricia, are there any changes or deletions? The following deletion is on the agenda under item 3D6, page 84, change orders and notices of completion for CupKa projects. Delete Cupka project CC2025-69 from the agenda. There are no further changes or deletions. >> Thank you so much. And now we're on to action item 21, resolution 20252026-17,
celebrating America's 250th anniversary. recommends the board of education adopt resolution 20252026-17 May I have a motion, please? >> Thank you, Mr. Cervantes. And a second. >> Thank you, Mr. Cruz. And in the future, if you do want, you just press that. And just so you know, >> it's okay. I I know I get what you were doing. You're doing old habits. Okay,
board. Um, now that we have a motion in a second, the item is on the floor. Any comments, questions, discussions? If you use your light system, I can queue you in. If not, I'll just go ahead with mine. Um, I love that we celebrated Constitution Day and we're enforcing it so kids understand their constitutional rights. We appreciate all of our
teachers, our staffs, our principles, um, for ensuring that that is spreading throughout the campus as needed. Um, it is required by federal funding if you're receiving federal funding. So, I was very excited with that and then when I um came across, you know, celebrating the the America's 250th anniversary, it just makes sense. So, um here we are in
a nation um where we have the most beautiful nation of all and unfortunately there's people that seek to destroy what our our founding fathers have founded our nation on. Um, I just thought it would be really really vital that we bring this forward and we put it as a resolution and we also enforce um during the week of June 29th through
July 5th and we make it declaring that that the week that we celebrate America's birthday and um furthermore ensure that our our students know exactly what nation they're in and how it all started. So with that said, I'll end my comments. Um hearing that there's no other comments, we'll go ahead and take a vote. Um board members, you can
register your vote on the screen. Awesome. Preferential. >> Yes. >> Thank you. >> And the motion passes with a vote of four to zero with preferential voting. Yes. Awesome. And now moving on to consent. Board members, if you have any items to pull, please indicate so on your monitor. Uh Mr. Cruz, you forgot. Okay. >> Okay, we'll move on.
>> Do you have a poll? >> Hit your mic and then Okay. U Mr. Smith is pulling item 383, the resolution for compensation for Sean Smith for missing September 18th's board meeting. Um so for the remainder of the consent items, may I have a motion, please? Thank you, Mr. Cervantes, and a second by Mr. Cruz. Thank you. And board
members, please register your vote in preferential. >> Yes. >> Thank you. And I'm waiting for one more vote. There we go. And the motion passes with a vote of four to zero and preferential voting yes. And now we're going to go back to item 33. That's the resolution 20252026-18 board compens compensation for Shan Smith for September 18th 2025 missed
meeting recommend the board of education adopt resolution 20252026-8 board compensation for Shan Smith missed meeting um may I have a motion please not working okay I have a motion by Mr. Svantes and a second by Mr. Cruz. Thank you. And board members, please register your vote. So you could just put Oh, yeah. And preferential. >> Thank you. And the motion passes with a
vote of three saying yes and one saying no. And that's Mr. Sean Smith saying no. And the motion passes. I'm sorry. It was a no. And preferential voting. Yes. Just a point of information. Um they do have to verify or say a reason why. And if it is because of certain reasons, then usually the board they have the
authority to either approve it or not. Okay. Consent's done. Now we're at information. Are there any comments or questions? Seeing that there's none, we're now on to board member communications. Mr. Smith, your first meeting. Um, so you're going first. >> Push your mic. And there you go. >> Okay. So, Dr. Dr. Enfield, you and I spoke about this, but I'd like to um
officially present this to the board and it is the online safety um focusing on parental education. So um if we can put together a package where we can do online tutorials focusing on um guiding parents on how to secure their kids' phones um with screen controls and explicit materials. uh and then as well as taking them to um home routers
eventually down the street. So um we talk a lot about the the books and whatnot and protecting kids from explicit materials, but they have a very powerful source of explicit material right in their the palm of their hands that I I think a lot of parents don't actually know how to protect their kids from that. Um, so if we can um
get some kind of program where we teach parents how to protect their kids. >> Yep. Absolutely. We'll go ahead and and work on on putting some videos together with you on on that. And so I think it would be a great resource for our community. >> Fantastic. Thank you. Press your button. >> Wait, hold on. Let me cue you and push
your mic button. >> Okay, now you're on. >> You know, you know, I'm concerned whether a school district violates parents rights when it encourages a student's gender transition without the parents knowledge or consent. Honestly, I don't know why you guys are here. I I really don't you know I I see more of this trend of of the destruction of
our children changing their gender physically and we think this is normal and and it it it goes on and on but you know I've been here I've been here for since 2012 and and um you have a silent majority and and there's common sense. Something is very wrong what's going on in our society and it has to stop. And so I
don't understand why you you guys are here. I really don't. I really don't. But but um this has to stop. It has destroyed a generation of children their their mental state and um it's deliberate and um we have we have we have to stop it. And and the good thing about all of us here, and I'm really proud of all of
you here, and that is none of us aren't lukewarm. So, whatever happens in the future, things will will decide for the betterment of our children. And um and for Prop 50, vote no for that. Thank you, First interruption, next one, you're out. >> First interruption, next one. You're Do we need to continue? >> Okay. Thank you. >> I don't know if I'm
>> Is it? You're >> all right. Hey, uh, real quick, a couple things. I'm going to try to make something short again. We had another We asked for decorum. I thought I made it clear regarding let's make sure it's to us. Again, you can make comments to us and remember that teachers apply. It's employees. So, if you can't handle it,
rethink it. But you got to have the quorum. If you're out of control, we're going to ask you till you make you. That's the way it goes. You were kicked out, you kicked out. If you slow the meeting down again, consider violation of penal code section 403. and we will be looking into it further. But that's all I got to say about that for now. I
want to talk about educational things. I was able to attend with uh Mr. Na the American Legion Awards for our Boys and Girls State was outstanding. They always put on an outstanding show and to see the leadership some of them running for governor and senate and council members, assembly members. to see that leadership for our young kids. It's outstanding to
see the education. They're learning about American government, the constitution, those type of things is pretty cool. Uh the milk can game was outstanding and uh Chino did a great job. I mean, you know, try to be neutral, you know, but it's nice to see a good football game. And uh attended the annual college fair at Chino High School. It was awesome to see
the representation of different companies, different colleges, our military services, and seeing the excitement of our kids wanting to join and thinking beyond high school. That's what you're supposed to do. You get prepared and then you go for it and you you cut them loose and it's outstanding. And then even going further back into our youths, I was able to attend the
rims AVID impact awards and Levi Dicki received the AVID elementary showcase uh school award which is outstanding. I'll tell you what, they set the tone. You talk about uh Dr. Custodial and her team, they set the bar really high for AVID. And I'll tell you what, I was the the competitive side of me. I was watching Ontario
Monontlair kind of get a lot of awards and I was thinking we need to have more representation here at Chino. So I'm challenging all of us their AVID programs to look at what Dr. Custodio does and with Levi Dicki. They do an outstanding job and let's see if we could step it up because they were they were they're pretty cool. And then um
you know breast cancer awareness like you know we got family members you know I'm wearing pink. Let's uh take care of and pray for our women out there that are struggling and going through it. My sister-in-law is struggling and going through it. So, I lift you guys all up and uh pray that you guys get through it. And you're not alone. We see you. We
think about you. We want you to to uh survive this because it it is survivable. And I was also encouraged quite a bit. There was a lot of uh a lot of Bible verses being talked to, spoken in here. And so I'd imagine I don't know a lot of things were mentioned board members you they well I guess I'm part of the board
so you're addressing me so I'll address you too. So I'm assuming that you want the whole council of God represented. I'm hoping that's what you mean when you're reading different Bible verses because it encourages me to think that maybe you guys want Bible classes being taught in our schools. Maybe we could sit down and talk about that. I don't
know. I I'm just going by what you guys were were talking about up here. A lot of scripture reading more than I've heard in some churches. It's kind of encouraging. So, uh I don't know that was pretty cool. So, maybe uh maybe if you guys are wanting Bible to be taught in the schools, I'm not sure, but uh u I
appreciate that. So, that's all I got to say about that. Have a good day. >> Thank you, Mr. Cervantes, Dr. Superintendent Dr. Anfield. >> All right. I wanted to uh thank or welcome Mr. Smith onto the board and congratulate you on being selected and being here tonight. Um, I have truly enjoyed the uh the couple of meetings
that we've had together that your focus is on student safety and the academics in our school district. Um, those were very positive meetings and I look forward to continue uh that building that relationship with you over over the over the next several years here. So, thank you. And that's it. >> Thank you, Dr. Enfield. And that leads
it to myself. Um, 495. I know people are freaking out, but don't worry. You have a board majority and amazing uh superintendent and staff. That's not going to put our kids in danger. So, um I can put something in writing and I've planned on bringing it forward in November just codifying some practices I already spoke to Dr. Enfield on just so the community
has that peace knowing um even though the state's direction of allowing all these things uh to be put in place that could harm kids because I call it the predators kidnapping dream bill because even when the legislators were told of all the loopholes they pretty much said the boards can if they want to put those things in sa in safeguards in place and
I just find that absolutely mind-blowing that they're literally saying out loud they know it's dangerous but they're not going to do anything about it. um wake up because those are the people that uh you know we keep electing to go put tampons in the boys' restroom to uh fund things like prism that get pushed into the curriculum in classroom. Um again
I'm going to scream from the rooftops about prison prism because prison it should be in prison people teaching it should be in prison. Um, but in all reality, um, if you didn't have a board majority and you didn't have the good staff that we do and the cabinet that we do and the superintendent, the deputy superintendent and all of our, um,
directors and teachers that are actually good, not the union activists in place, oh man, I mean, you tonight's a clear example of what some of the dangers our kids face in the classroom. Um, yeah, I said it out loud. If you want to keep interrupting, I mean, do you want a warning? There's a warning right there. I think we're we're good, right? You're
an adult. You can behave yourself. It's my turn to speak. You had a chance. Um but with that said, um Battle of the Bone, it was fun. It was uh we had a great time. Um we split our time, Mr. Smith and I on each side. I think we actually were longer on Ayala's, which was fun because, you know, we got to be
with Dr. I always call her Dr. um Yar Boy and the rest of them and meet staff and talk to them and um see the kids all excited and then again there was really good sportsmanship on both sides. There was no fights that I saw or were aware of. No fights in the parking lot and that's a true testament that you know we
can have um friendliness in competition and friendliness in things that um truly matter when it comes to our kids. Um, I'm gonna actually get down to the nitty-gritty of some things here. Bear with me. Okay, let me get this straight. Tonight, you saw adults, teachers on our actual campuses, and I do not put them in the same pot pot as good teachers.
Um, I have always said there is crazy radical union activists and there's great teachers and I support the great teachers and unfortunately their union continues to push things and be involved in lawsuits that do not protect our children. And I'm sorry if we have to respond to that and continue to fight in um court, then so be it. I
mean, the inflection point here is that you have somebody willing to do that. Um, I obviously don't put teachers and these people in the same category, but let's be clear, there's teachers who voluntarily sign up for something that's called the gender sexual alliance club on campuses. I think parents need to be aware of that. Um, they're in, I think,
almost all of our high schools, if I recall correctly. Um, an adult in a campus needs to be a supervisor or somebody willing to facilitate these clubs. I mean, gender sexual alliance club. Really? Are we in the business of knowing and supporting kids sexuality? That's freaking weird. That is actually honestly creepy. Um, but I'm just going to say it out loud because I think every
parent needs to know. Talk to your kids because some of these people are the teachers in your classrooms with your kids. Why in the world are adults under the banner of an educational institute signing up to facilitate anything related to sexual things with children and talking to them without parents permission? I'm sure parents don't even know sometimes. It gets worse. One of
these advisers, a teacher at a local high school, actually invited a half- naked makeup wearing man who calls himself S titties. Yep, that's his name. Yeah, you heard me right. to speak to other people's children and address our very own students. Literally calling out our IELa students. Parents, wake up because a teacher is exposing your kids to these things. This is not made up.
It's all I have proof. I can't wait to show you. Um, he was dressed in a very pro provocative outfit. One that doesn't belong near kids in school, but whatever. I mean, hey, if you on your own time want to expose your kids to that, because we all know that's happening, so be it. But under our leadership, not on my watch, without me
raising a flag, hell no. Am I not I'm going to sit back and do nothing? I would be part of the problem. This person literally addresses the students under the umbrella of an adult in our schools. Education, remember education. I'm sorry. No. Absolutely no. Not on my watch. I will die protecting our kids from this insanity. You've already heard me say
that. Take me out on a stretcher. I don't care. That is gross. People have the nerve to tell me to stay quiet. It's hate. You literally saw blasphemy on the freaking mic from people preaching the Bible. I rebuke that in the name of Jesus to the pits of hell where it belongs in Jesus's name. That is gross. I actually almost got
sick. Wow. using people and and God using transformation of people to justify trans transing of kids and cutting off parts and telling kids they're born in the wrong body. What in the world did I witness tonight under people who say they're preachers and priests? I mean, seriously, it doesn't stop there. The same club, GSA, received funding to help develop training
materials to push this exact ideology into the state curriculum. You heard me. This club, GSA, received money to develop a training called Prism. I have documents. This is all truth. Funded by Gavin Newsome, our legislators, the California Teachers Association that continues to sue us on things that you voted us in for, by the way. Yeah, I said it out loud. And we are here trying
to hold people accountable for bad behavior on campus. And we're met with lawfare lawsuits, intimidation, the teachers union at every local, state, and national level harassing our district. Lord, help us. I'm literally calling out to him over and over. Help us. You tell me the GSA are not about promoting sex. What the heck? I just told you what is on our own GSA club
freaking Instagram. A dude, you want to see it? This is the adviser. Yes, the adviser. We have multiple lawsuits with this adviser for standing up to things. Oh, let me show you S titties that directs and and literally tells our students a message. This is S titties, guys. Stitties. This is the exact post where he's talking to our
kids. Oh, but I'm the hateful one. I'm sorry. No half naked man in makeup should be addressing our students. If you want this done, take your kids to that aidwalk that this on our key club. Remember key club? You guys know what key clubs are? Why is this advisor posting this message on the key club, too? Can you tell me if these parents
know? The key club kids, do their parents know this is tied in and they're exposed to this? Whoa, guys. Come on. Let me let me read something out of one of the lawsuits. This is a lawsuit paper, so I'm not Look, I'm probably going to get us in another lawsuit for speaking truth and showing you things that are truthful. That's the truth, and
that sucks. But I cannot sit here and not tell you what's going on with your own kids. This is actually a document from the lawsuit. So, go ahead, sue me. To the same people that are sitting here trying to say they want to meet and work with me, disingenuous meetings, literally the ones that are involved in the lawsuits, I meet out of the goodness
of my heart because I want to listen to the teachers. But the embarrassing part is the teachers come to me for actual real issues in the classroom because their union is spending their money to fight us. Wow. Plaintiff Natalie Cooney serves as the facility facility faculty adviser, sorry, to three students. These these glasses aren't the greatest, but I
should get some stronger ones. Age key club, AC ASL club and the gender sexual alliance club. There it is. And our gender sexual alliance under Ayella is following s titties and some other men that are dressed in makeup addressing our students as titties hates Christians. She literally I'm on her his his let's be real I'm speak truth on his
own website giving birth apparently to Christ. But these are these are the people that we let teachers give messages to our kids. Guys, she's He's He I mean, it looks like a she right here, but it's literally a he is dressed in makeup and like literally making fun of the birth of Christ. That's hate. Oh, it gets
worse. Our club is following something and on the front page of this person's web or Instagram is sexually explicit scenes. But hey, we're the hateful ones, right? I mean, kids click on their website because they addressed our kids and they will see all of this, including a story time to kids, addressing kids, talking about s titties and shaking their boobs online,
addressing kids to read banned books. That was the message. Read banned books. I'm sorry. Sexually explicit books do not belong in the hands of kids. And if you're pushing it and calling it banned, you are the wrong side of history. And I will tell you what you actually are. You're a groomer. Let me get the definition because I learned to do my
research in Chino Valley where I graduated. Grooming is when a person builds a relationship with a child, young person or an adult who is at risk so they can abuse them, manipulate them into doing things. You're manipulating. You're abusing kids. This is abuse. This is disgusting. Law enforcement can't even arrest most of these people because the state
legislators allow people to groom people and they allow people to sexually traffic kids. That's not made up either. There's laws that protect them. And if there's not a 10-year difference, you get away with it. So, yeah, if you're a 25-year-old dating a 15-year-old and you're sexually trafficking them or having a relationship, guess what? It's not a felony in California. But hey,
hate the board that's protecting your kids from groomers. Oh, but do you know what a predator is? Apparently, when they told me some more stuff about what was going on, they pointed out these are predators. It's worse than a groomer. They literally predator by definition is someone who injures or exploits others for personal gain or profit. If you are
hurt, go seek help. Leave our kids alone. I'm not going to let you touch our kids on my watch. Heck no. You can come after me. You can harass me. You can harass this board. I will stand in front of all of them. I do not care. I will speak truth because all of these things, including the direction of these people,
say they want to bring nightclub into the classroom. Yeah, we're going to stop that. We're not going to let that happen. And it's all people who get paid by your taxpayer dollars for prism training. Millions and millions of dollars, guys. I have documents. I took the training myself to see what was going on. I'm not making this up. Guess
who got paid to make this sexually freaking grooming training. There's um PTA, guys. PTA, get out of PTAs. Parents who care, go into PTO's. PTA has fought us on every common sense thing and they're involved in really wicked things. Yes, hate me, I don't care. Get out of the PTAs. I encourage PTO's. I do not want PTAs on our campus. And who
knows, I'm going to look in the legality of getting them the heck out permanently here before I leave. CTA, surprise. CTA is also involved in Prop 50. I would say, oh crap, Cruz, you should get you probably are getting in trouble. But hey, the teachers union's already opened that door for Prop 50. So, welcome all. Right. Trevor's Project. Hey guys,
Sacramento just approved a law with your taxpayer dollars to put Trevor's Project on the back of our kids IDs, exposing them to things. Dr. Enfield, I'm going to bring something forward, a policy that says, "No, we're not. And I don't care if we get sued because I know as an adult, Trevor's Project actually opens doors to grooming." Adults go on there.
I took screenshots in there of groups, even groups that were saying people were sexually attracted to minors and people younger than them and all these other groups. Oh, heck no. I'm bringing a policy and I don't care if it breaks California law because if it protects kids, it has no business being a law here in California and it does need to
be challenged. So, go cry yourself a river. Go sue us. Waste taxpayer dollars. But guess what? I'm not letting grooming things go and and exposed in the hands of a kid. I'm not giving them actual poison in their own hands. Heck no. But it gets better, guys. For the sake of I want to see my kids, I'll cut
it short. But I'm also going to show you something. under this prism training, California Department of Ed, you know, CTA, PTA, NEA, Newsome, the legislators majority, they're all paid for this training that literally pushes LGBTQ plus in the curriculum that has no business because our kids need to be focused on education. That is your religion. That is your ideology. Leave it at home. That
is not for the rest of the kids. I Yes, it is your religion. and you just seriously all these people just sat up here literally claiming it and using the Bible to justify it. That's fine. That's your beliefs, but it doesn't belong in an education system. We're going to teach kids how to read, right, and get do math. And in nth grade, my goal is to
make sure every kid is met. And if they're not fouryear bound, we figure out where they're at and with RO give them the tools for success after high school. That's my goal. And I'm sure it's supported by the the board and our cabinet and our superintendent. But I want to read something before I end this because it's going to take a couple
board meetings for me to really reveal a lot of this. Um, our taxpayer dollars under Prism training. Pridefest. Send people to Pridefest paid with your taxpayer dollars. I mean, these are documents I got from, you know what a public record request is? Oh, trust me, our district knows. Poor Andy. They're always doing public record requests on myself and other people who
are fighting the good fight because they're hoping to find something nefarious. There's nothing nefarious. I tell I I show you guys everything. I tell you what I'm doing constantly. Um, Pridefest, San Louis Abyspo, $3,559.70. Registration, $1,500. Registration and booth. They had a booth there. Mileage $410 time 585 miles gets more than a board member would. That's at $479.
Hotel, two nights, two staff. So, you need to take what? a few of them to go send them to a pridefest that are our taxpayer dollars and caught education. 300 and um oh the the hotel was $1,200 guys. Sorry. $1,200. Wow, that's a nice hotel. Um per DM. Oh, they got PED DM. They even got more money. $380 for a
total of $3,559. And we all see what happens at Pridefest. The same people I just showed you are at PrideFest exposing themselves to kids. But yet we our taxpayer dollars pays representatives to go there to develop a training to push it into the classroom. And I'm the crazy one. You know, I'm actually the one that sees it
and continues to fight against this. Um Pride Festival in Orange County, another $3,000 of your taxpayer dollars that went to that Pride Festival Mariposa, another $4,529.88 of your taxpayer dollars went to this training to send people to Pridefest. Pride Festival in Velia, $3,49418. Do you get what I'm saying? That's just one page out of hundreds of pages of documents that I just read to
you was $20,000. And that's just the beginning of it. There's multi-million dollars put into this training. And they're saying this is education and they're having your kids be connected to Trevor's project, Gender Sexual Alliance Project, PTAs. Oh, poor parents. You think that you're doing great on the campus paying your PTA to go fund this your money? Our good teachers are paying for CTA to
go fund this. Are you kidding me? when I have to hear complaints or ask for paper, which I am 100% in support of getting paper. And I always ask them, what teachers don't have paper? Let's get that there now. But yet, your money's going to this and then to fight us and then to continue to open lawfare on people who literally are
disruptive and doing things with your kids and then we protect put safety things in place to protect your kids. And then guess what? I get a threat to my life, threat to my kids' life, letters to my door, my house, the district. Oh, because I'm a hateful person for protecting your kids. Pretty sure if this isn't the inflection
point. I don't know what is for people, but apparently our community is very aware of this. That's why the last election you have all five board members that represent fighting against this when we had recall threats, threats to everything, people lying at doors. I am so grateful for our community. I just wish it would multiply across California because if it does, our kids
are safe even in California. But you have my word. I'm not giving up. I'm not giving in. You got to take me out on a stretcher. I'll say that all the time. Boys are boys. Girls are girls. God made them beautiful just the way they are and anybody telling them different, you probably fit the definition of a groomer
and a predator depending on your behavior. Um, so please, even those that pretended to use the Bible to justify their their ways of doing this to kids, you obviously need to be praying to Lord Jesus Christ. But with that said, I'm proud of you guys. I'm proud of you guys. I'm proud of you. I'm proud of you. And I'm proud of you for having to
watch this and endure it, but I know it's going to make you a darn good leader. You may think I joke about being the president, but heck no. I'm already praying for it, boy. You are going to grow into some somebody who's going to be a great leader. And I know you. There's more of you there. And we're
going to make sure kids have the opportunity to do the same thing and aren't being sent down a pathway of destruction on our watch. >> Nope. not gonna happen. And with that said, I do want to adjourn the meeting in someone's memory, someone who served our district, someone who played an instrumental role, Mr. Michael Torres. May God bless and rest his soul. And now
I adjourn the regular meeting of board of education at 8:16 p.m.
