User privacy
This site is built so that no search queries, chat messages, or question text are stored on the server or written to any log. The site logs still preserve activity counts and IP addresses. If you arrive to this site from a search engine like Google or Bing, those sites track your search terms and make them available to the site operator. When privacy is critical, consider using Duck Duck Go for your search.
Privacy by layer
| Layer | What happens |
|---|---|
| Chat history | Your conversation history is stored in your browser’s local storage only. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time. |
| Search | Your search terms are used to find matching results and then discarded. Search queries are stripped from the site’s server logs. |
| Chat | The chat (beta) functionality uses the Claude chat engine from Anthropic. Your chat messages are sent to them for processing. Our site never logs your messages or the responses from Claude, nor does Anthropic make them available to us. |
| AI processing | Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training. |
| Web search | When the chatbot searches the web on your behalf, derived queries are sent to Brave Search. These queries are not logged on our server. |
| Usage reports | The site operator receives periodic activity summaries showing IP addresses and counts only. No query content is included. |
| Authentication | There are no user accounts and no personal data is collected. Chat access (beta) uses a single shared password. |
