step backwards and refresh your memory of what led us to this point so we're gonna talk a little bit about the facility's master plan that was put together back in 2016 and how that led to where we are today then we're gonna dive right into an update on measure G projects that have commenced to date talk a little bit

about where our funding has been mamataji and then what do we go from here so first you'll you'll remember this finder right here that WLC architects prepare for us this is the the 2016 facility's master plan that was put together with many people's effort and want to orient you to the way that we have split up this facility's master

plan if you take a look at it everything in the facility's master plan is really categorized in these five areas we've got new construction which includes a construction or reconstruction of new schools we've got the modernization category in the facility's master plan which model which modernize these schools that are of age 25 years or older we also have a safety and security

component which I know is of top priority to our district and to you additionally we have the category called additions renovations and improvements this is really the category the big-ticket category where it really includes the additions or renovations to the site and this is a culmination of effort by the stakeholders who are involved in the meetings at the time the

most facility's master plan was prepared and lastly we have the furniture category and III although that there's a separate category for furniture I do want to clarify that we are not going out to bid furniture for the entire school district it just is not frugal to do so and it's not ideal because we want to modernize the spaces first and as

projects are in action and they're coming to a completion we will outfit these spaces with new furniture and you'll recall that the facility's master plan was built on six guiding principles tech safety and security technology evolution maintenance parody and sustainability we want to make sure that all of our school sites are secured from the perimeter with the most up-to-date technology that

connectivity is served throughout the campus we want to make sure that our facilities can also evolve with the latest instructional technologies and making sure that we take a proactive stance when it comes to maintenance of our facilities and of course very importantly you want to make sure that any improvements we put in our school sites involves parity across the school

sites as you know we have 35 sites so that's a lot to achieve and making sure that 80 projects we put into place are sustainable over a long period of time so starting with a new construction category what I want to outline for you here is a list of projects that were included in the facility's master plan

so under new construction there was an inclusion we discussed the need to reconstruct you know high school we also discussed the need of a second school in our preserve community and a possible future elementary school somewhere in our growth zone I don't want you to focus too much on the dollar amounts as those were the numbers estimated two years ago and as we know

those are no longer the case but it gives us a frame a ballpark of what type of means we were talking about the next category is modernization in this current stage of our capital facilities program we have 11 schools that are of age and you can see most of these schools are in the chino hills' area except cattle elementary and that is

because under measure m which was 12 years no that was more than 12 years ago that was 1416 years ago we addressed most of the modernization efforts at the schools that were in Chino under the safety security component you will see this chart that lists all of our schools the gravy in all of our elementary schools the light blue

all of our junior High's and k-8 and the dark-blue are five high schools every school will have a safety security component I know this is a top priority to the board and as we get into the updates later on you'll see where we are with each of them this is the big-ticket item category that I spoke to earlier

of 750 million dollars was passed by our voters a few months after that in January you graciously approved the implementation of first two series of the bombs so we are not able to implement obviously all of the projects at the time so the program was divvied up into multiple series and I will share with you in just a moment what series

actually we've been accounting for the project expenditures in detail still in those categories that we mentioned earlier under those those categories by school by project you can see in this we also added an extra column of costs it's called general program costs in order to manage such a massive inevitably there will be costs that are unnecessary to oversee the program too
