dismissed from school missing will not be joining us this evening so we'll move on to item 1 II comments from employee representatives anybody from acct no moving on let's ESEA mr. Danny Hernandez good evening president Schafer board dr. Enfield cabinet and community we're in some trying times right now I just want to remind everybody about showing compassion and empathy right now
there are a lot of unanswered questions a lot of worried son out there but as we can see we see the ugliness in people but more importantly we see the positive and the love that people show one of the biggest things that at least for myself is that open line of communication I get tons of calls tons of emails about
what's happening I don't have to agree with every decision being made and I don't have to get approval for every decision made but when my members call and ask guess what I have to get them an answer within a timeline so our open line of communication is essential right now a few of the departments I know our
school sites had been there all week they've been servicing our students our parents as best they can our MOC staff warehouse security dr. Ian field you have an awesome staff your cabinet have been in communication with us as best they can we know you guys are in tons of meetings but you do mr. chin your nutrition staff our rock stars on
Monday they fed over 500 bag lunches on Tuesday a thousand and on Wednesday 1100 and then today 1200 I called the director of them of Xavier K our tape this morning or this afternoon to find out how it had went no arguments no fighting everybody worked in shifts because they knew why and who they were servicing so again dr. Enfield you have
an awesome staff one of the things that was posted on the district website and maybe it was because of a lack of sleep or stress but I think all of us in watching that hashtag spread hope cv USD of our students at CBU at chino hills' and their choir singing it gives us more of a chance to see why
we're doing some of the things we're doing no not everybody's happy but we're getting through this the only way that we're truly gonna get through this is we get through this all together thank you anyone from champ move on to item 1f comments from the audience on items not on the agenda we are now at comments from the audience on items not on the
agenda pad are there any requests to speak on non-agenda items one request to speak speakers will be called in the order the request was received please listen for your name and be prepared to approach the podium any comments on agenda items will be accepted during consideration of that item once the board has convinced deliberations on an issue speaker cards will not be accepted
the board is very interested in your comments that please bear in mind that the board typically does not respond to comments during this time on the agenda that is reserved specifically for public comments individual members may respond during Ord comments at the end mr. Hernandez please explain the light system to our one speaker you have three minutes to address the board begin your
comments at the green light the yellow light will mean that you have 30 seconds left and of course the red light means your time is over and please adjust the microphone when you approach the podium Richard whales first thing I would like to recognize and I appreciate greatly everything that's going on all of you showing up and allowing the public to have their
say to many people I think are hiding and frayed and life has not stopped things are still important if possible I would like to beg your indulgence I think I can finish in three minutes but if it would be possible if you could maybe give me four items I wanted to address first thing is with the closure
you all know about three teachers we have miss Chavez dr. Ochoa and Miss Marchbanks they have in the end been terminated they will work till the end of the school year and that will be it and right now while all of our kids are out of school they're at Butterfield Ranch putting together methods for our children to be able to do their homework
now dr. Enfield I appreciate the situation you're in you have a lot of things on your shoulder we just saw the additional monthly closure and given what the governor has said it's most likely that we'll probably hear another blast and we will be closed till the end of the school year that seems to be the most logical path I've presented this
before I'm presenting it again you need tenured teachers next year the three that got cut will have tenure the very very first day of next school year I know you want stability we want stability last time I brought up if you don't want to have to deal with the parents you know we're extending an olive branch this is a commitment I don't make
commitments that I don't mean this is a commitment that look help us get stability help us get the tenured teachers we both want and I can get parents to back off some of you honestly are as far as parents are concerned not in a good position there are parents that are really angry at some of you really angry all we want is to make
things better at our school because aside from those three teachers we have to hire or you have to hire a new principal a new assistant principals that's a lot of new people that's a lot of change that our school doesn't need after all this other change the teachers that are being let go thank you moving on to item 1 G changes deletions
we are now changed and deletions please read any changes or deletions the following changes on the agenda item 3b to fundraising activities page 18 this item is pulled from the agenda moving on to item two action items we're now at the evenings only action item items to a-1 resolution 20 1920 20-40 notice of layoffs of certain classified
